Bristol Palin signed up with a speakers bureau and is working on her first book!

Bristol Palin

We have "breaking news"! It's never boring with the Palins! ;-)

One of our brilliant readers spotted just a few minutes ago that Bristol Palin recently signed up with a speakers bureau - and they claim that she is writing on her first book!

There is even more. Bristol Palin has already a booking - she will appear in an "interactive interview session" at the "39th Heartbeat International Annual Conference", May 18-20 in Orlando, Florida. From the website:
"The 39th Heartbeat International Annual Conference, scheduled for May 18-20, 2010 in Orlando, Florida is attracting nearly 700 pregnancy support providers from 17 countries.

Heartbeat will provide 72 educational workshops in 12 different tracks including a “Center Defense” track developed to address the attacks by elected officials and to expose the propaganda tactics used by abortion dealers to thwart the good work of pregnancy help centers.

“Our focus on center defense is a very important track at our conference this year because nonprofits are not used to being attacked for helping pregnant women,” Heartbeat International President Peggy Hartshorn, told “Pregnancy help ministries need to learn proactive strategies to handle the hostile political maneuverings of public officials retained by the abortion industry.”

Heartbeat's Babies Go to Congress is one such strategy where women grateful for the services they have received from the pregnancy centers get a chance to share their story with elected officials in Washington D.C.

The Heartbeat conference will feature an interactive interview session with Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. Bristol is working with Single Source Speakers."

Single Source Speakers? Let's check them out!

Well - a first look at the website of "Single Source Speakers" already reveals that basically all the speakers are somewhat "church" connected.

It has the following description:

Bristol Palin

Travels from:

Abstinence, Conference, Fundraiser, Pro-Life, Special Event/Holiday, Women's, Youth

Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin's oldest daughter, took the country by storm practically overnight when she was introduced to Americans during the 2008 presidential campaign. Her teen pregnancy and the birth of her son Tripp, resulted in millions of Americans discussing the issues surrounding teen pregnancy. Bristol has since gone on to become a Teen Ambassador for the Candie's Foundation, and speaks about pregnancy prevention, abstinence, faith and life. She recently appeared on the ABC drama "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and is working on her first book.

Well, it seems her mother taught her well and has shown her how to earn big bucks with ease! Much more lucrative and convenient than your average 8.00-5.00 job!

And she is working on her first book! Great! What's the title? I know one: "How I became abstinent again after I had at least one baby as a teenage unwed mother."

Hypocrites and grifters, the whole family.

Look! Young Bristol hasn't even started yet, and she is already a "flagship client"!

Suggestions for the book title, everybody?

Our reader "Armchair Jane" left a very good comment on the previous post, where I originally posted the news regarding Bristol as an update:
I looked through all the speakers listed on the "Single Source Speakers" page. It appears that the number of question marks next to "Fee" gives a general indication of how large the fee is. And apparenly Bristol does not come cheap. There are not very many speakers listed who have four question marks: the others include Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints, and Alan Keyes.

Quite a few of the speakers only charge a one question mark sized fee. I noted many of the one question mark people look to be people who actually have some kind of professional background, and likely have at least some speaking experience.

So, Bristol Palin, right up there with Drew Brees as far as cost as a speaker. I am glad that such a highly paid speaker as Bristol is at least going to participate in an "interactive" interview at the Heartbeat International event - as opposed to what? An "inanimate" interview? What she has to offer that is worth four questions marks of moolah I have no idea...

The news also give us the opportunity to look at Bristol Palin's newest PSA for the Candie's Foundation (no parody!):

In addition, please do not miss this unique video of Britney Spears which was taken while she was posing for a Candie's photoshoot in 2009!
