Pipeline, pipedreams...

Sarah Palin has written a pleading letter to President Obama asking him to remember Alaska and her pipeline when he meets the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper in two weeks time when visiting Canada. (Harper is the one she thought was Stef Carse - a Canadian country singer - during the famous phone call from Nicolas Sarkozy)

“Alaskans have appreciated your strong support for the construction of such a pipeline," Palin wrote. "This project is now moving forward, and I believe that a discussion between you and Prime Minister Harper would greatly facilitate the process now under way.”

This project is moving forward? Not so fast! TransCanada got their money with no strings attached, but have they found customers for the AGIA pipeline? Have they found anybody to finance the building of the pipeline? Have they negotiated with the Natives on the Canadian portion of the pipeline?

How is Denali - Alaska Gas Pipeline coming along? From their spokesman Dave MacDowell in December: "Denali is moving ahead outside of the AGIA framework."

Denali is BP and ConocoPhillips own project and they actually have the leases to exploit the resource. In other words, they own the gas and are the potential customers of the AGIA pipeline.

Confused? Does anybody in Alaska understand what this is all about? Help!

Maybe President Obama should tell Ms Palin to put this project in her pipe and smoke it.

  2. Talking about HYPOCHRITE!

She sure has been a 'good study' of gw (sic), and has learned fast and well how to bamboozle the people and how to make sure only a fox gets to guard a henhouse...

Maybe it is time to inform President Obama about all the machinations of this governor Grifter from hell. After all, he has said he wants to hear from his constituents, and has set up a website...
