Proverbial pause

I'm having another attack of Palin fatigue. So I put together a little collection of old sayings that apply to the lady in question. This way there's something to read but I don't have to write about her. Time to have a break and recharge my batteries... enjoy!

As you make your bed so must you lie on it

He who pays the piper calls the tune

Don't bite the hand that feeds you

Don't burn your bridges behind you

If you can't be good, be careful

Empty vessels make the most noise

Oil and water don't mix

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones

Pride comes before a fall

Let them eat cake

The ends justify the means

There's no smoke without fire

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it

Two wrongs don't make a right

You can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear

Honesty is the best policy

A bad workman always blames his tools

The last straw that broke the camel's back

A leopard cannot change its spots

Bite off more than one can chew

You can't have your cake and eat it

The buck stops here

Cut off your nose to spite your face

There are none so blind as those that will not see

The truth will out

Uneasy is the head that wears the crown

A luxury once enjoyed becomes a necessity.

Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them

A sharp tongue and a dull mind are usually found in the same head
