Sarah Palin's Birthday
Today is Sarah Palin's birthday. From Kaylene Johnson's book, "Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned Alaska's Political Establishment Upside Down." :
"Born in Sandpoint, Idaho, on February 11, 1964, Sarah Louise was the third of four children born in rapid succession to Chuck and Sally Heath. The family moved to Alaska when Sarah was two months old."
There are different ways to look at her 45 years on this Earth.
Some see Sarah Palin for who she really is and an unauthorized but truthful biography would focus on the self-centered beauty queen driven by ambition, prepared to betray her allies when they can no longer serve her interests; the ruthless politician who furthers her aspirations to higher office without any regard or compassion for the people she was elected to serve; the so-called hockey mom who sacrifices her children to preserve or promote her image; the whining victim who doesn't take any responsibility for her own actions and distorts the truth to lay blame on others; the nature lover who poisons the environment on behalf of the greedy and fosters the destruction of creatures that are under threat of extinction. These are some of the sorry achievements of this person on the day she celebrates her 45th birthday.
Then there are those who get their all their dates right but go on to rely on fictional accounts, full of spin and meaningless soundbites.
Chapter One of Kaylene Johnson's authorized biography of Sarah Palin starts with a box saying "Honesty became a non-negotiable family standard." and the book ends with "...the little girl who learned how to work hard, stand up for herself, and never tell a lie."
Happy Birthday, Sarah? Maybe you could spend the next 45 years making amends for what you accomplished so far.
