Sarah Palin's double standards
Sarah Palin blew the whistle on Randy Ruedrich in 2003, when she was ethics supervisor of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, accusing him of an ethics breach for conducting work for the state GOP on government time.
The following are excerpts from an article written in September 2008, by Jason Leopold:
Documents show that Sarah Palin used city computers in her mayor's office to manage her campaign for lieutenant governor and billed taxpayers for mailings, phone calls and literature. Palin also had her city secretary, Mary Bixby, print 75 thank-you notes to campaign donors and book a campaign related trip Ketchikan in May 2002 while on city time.
Former city officials said Palin and her campaign staff worked upwards of 10 hours a day using Wasilla City Hall as her campaign headquarters where campaign faxes were sent and received, and campaign staffers used city phones to solicit donations.
On Palin’s lieutenant governor candidate registration form with the Alaska Public Offices Commission, she used the e-mail the city gave her for “campaign chairperson” contact information and the Wasilla City Hall fax telephone number for "candidate information.”
Palin’s mayoral schedule for June 12, 2002 showed that she met with Herold Advertising Products in her office at City Hall. Soon after, the company faxed the city’s deputy administrator, John Cramer, "Sarah Palin Lieutenant Governor" artwork and an invoice for the work.
In July 2006, Paul Jenkins, an editor for the conservative Voice of the Times, confronted Palin about her own apparent ethical breaches four years earlier. Her response was to insist, without explanation, that her situation was different from Ruedrich's.
I find her double standards and hypocrisy quite scandalous. Ethics supervisor??? Ethics reformer??? Do me a favour! I wrote about this before, but this article is very clear and detailed, worth a read. It made my blood boil all over again.
Sarah Palin is a sick joke, ethics apply to everybody else, but never to her...

There is a subset of the republican party who believe they are the special people. Rules of ethics and laws do not apply to them. Laws only apply to others and they even bend and reinterpret the law to harm others. I have found this to be true of a lot of the bussiness owners in AK, it does not shock me anymore because it is so widespread.
ReplyDeleteRegina!
ReplyDeleteYOU GOT IT RIGHT again...THE RULES ONLY APPLY TO OTHER PPL.
This blog is a part of my daily habit...and I always love the pictures because they match the subject matter and they're always good for a laff..thanks I needed a laff today.
Are Sarah's hands really that bug?
ReplyDeleteOpps- big, not bug
ReplyDeleteHer hands look swollen, especially her index fingers.
ReplyDeleteAnd they're fish-white, not the same color as her face and neck.
That's weird. Does she wear gloves when she's in the tanning bed?

I'm sitting here all speachless, again. How did she get away with this then go on to become governor? Please. Someone explain, because every freaking time there's another revelation about her corruption from the time she was a mayor, I'm left apoplectic. I'm going to border on rudeness here, but is anyone in Alaska awake? Please. People, wake up and pay attention to what flake the people you elect are doing.
ReplyDeleteYES...her hands are that big, take a look at the picture on the caPharaS site....
ReplyDeleteThese photos you find are unreal!! Her craziness shows through loud and clear!!!
ReplyDeleteBachmann/Palin 2012 (LOL, can you imagine!!!!!!!??) two lying unthical nutjobs
Unbelievable story!
ReplyDeleteIs she corrupt or just a stupid amateur? Or both? Arguments could be made for both...
She is corrupt, but - forgive me, Alaskans! - Alaskans are the ones that are stupid. Or blind. Or both.
ReplyDeleteThey do not (want to) see what is so plainly out in the open. GINO can get away with it, because she KNOWS that people say 'No, no rational person would do this'. What they don't know is that GINO is NOT rational...
People get what they deserve.
ReplyDeleteAlaskans actually elected her Governor!
Alaskans, therefore, are as pathetic as Palin.
You know, I never noticed the man-hands before! But now, I can't seem to stop noticing them! I'm even looking for other pictures to make sure, and WHAM! There they are. Man hands!
ReplyDeleteNow she possesses every kind of ick factor.
And, may I also say that I totally disagree with the assessment that Alaskans are pathetic. I read quite a few that I feel pretty darn sure had NOTHING to do with her getting elected. And those dear Alaskans don't deserve to be forced to endure her stupidity.
XOXO Alaskans! From the Deep South!
On April 15th, Dan Fagan, submitted a good opinion piece at adn regarding the Bristol, Levi, Palin saga. Here is some of the best of it:
ReplyDelete"It's clear Palin is aware of her base and is practicing Levi damage control through her spokeswoman Stapleton.
"Bristol's focus will remain on raising Tripp, completing her education, and advocating abstinence," Stapleton's statement read.
But didn't Bristol tell Fox News abstinence wasn't realistic? How's that advocating abstinence? Facts typically don't get in the way of the "Truth Squad" or its vitriolic spokeswoman, Meghan Stapleton.
Stapleton's statement went on to say, "It is unfortunate that Levi finds it more appealing to exploit his previous relationship with Bristol than to contribute to the well-being of the child."
Think about that for a second. Sarah Palin released a statement to the nation accusing the father of her grandbaby of not caring about the well-being of his child. How will Tripp feel the day he learns his grandmother publicly attacked his father? This is family, for goodness' sake. What won't Palin do to anyone getting in the way of her political ambition? If the 18-year old father of her grandchild isn't off-limits, nobody is.
The governor ends her attack on Levi by saying, "Bristol realizes now that she made a mistake in her relationship and is the one taking responsibility for their actions."
There you go, Tripp. Your grandmother wants the world to know your mother considers your father a big mistake. Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!
Young Levi Johnston, once an innocent target of an evil columnist, is now turned to bad father, exploiter, liar, seeker of fame, attention and fortune, engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion."
Myself I was saying right at first they are not going to marry or they would have before she went on the trail. I also thought why in world would she even bring them along? Normal parents would leave them at home and not say much about them. It was odd to have all of the children on stage at every speech. Plus she had already been dragging them around everywhere she went and we are suppose to believe that these children were working on state business every time, any time. They also have to stay in $700.00 a night hotel rooms paid by the tax payers, but social programs should not be your responsibility, "that's not right that's not fair". I know these type of people exist, but I am still stunned by it. It's hard for me to get my head around it, because I still want to believe that people are better than this. Alas it's true though she is a piece of work all right. It's not just us lying, horrible, liberals, twisting everything around to make poor Sarah look bad. We are just making observations and the conclusions are easy to come to. Even McCain and his handlers came to the conclusion she is a whack job, etc., are they mean nasty liberals too? If Bristol ever gets back with Levi and outs her mother, it will be that she is lying and being influenced by the evil Levi and his family.
Of course she is above ethics complaints, she is GOD'S CHOSEN woman to lead during the End Times, so like Nixon, it isn't unethical if God's warrior Queen does it.
