Sarah Palin's wild ride in her own words

An fervent admirer of Sarah Palin describes his idol:

"Sarah is unique. She doesn't fit a pattern nor any particular role. She is Ambitious, Beautiful and Brilliant, Considerate, Dedicated, Exciting, Faithful, Godly, Hard-working, Inspiring, Jubilant, Kind, Loving, Magnanimous, Noble, Optimistic, Prudent, Quick, Respectable, Strong, Tenacious, Unfaltering, Valiant, Winsome, and she has Zeal.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, she is so much more."

People see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear. When I listen to Sarah Palin describing events in her own words, none of the adjectives above spring to my mind.

The only word I could relate to was "iceberg"...

Listen to this superwoman giving her very own account of the famous wild ride.

Transcript of Palin Interview

Reporter: I was hoping you could walk us through a little bit about kind of what happened because he came earlier that you thought and not when and where.

Palin: And, uh, he wasn’t due for 4 or 5 weeks later and um, while I was at energy conference I felt perfectly fine but uh, had thought maybe a few things were starting to progress a little bit that perhaps there was an idea there that he might come early. So I called my doctor at about uh four in the morning in Texas and um I said ya know I’m gonna stay for the day here at the energy conference - have a speech that I was determined to give at one o’clock that afternoon and, um, had Todd check on a couple of flights that were earlier than we had scheduled. I decided it would be ok to, um, skip the reception that night that we’d already by that time have taken care of our meetings and my speech. So Todd checked on flights. A flight allowed us to get out a little earlier than we had planned. Skipped the reception and, um, called my doctor before I got on the plane to say, ‘Yea, we think that we will come home a few hours early,’ and, uh, she said ‘OK call when you land and I’ll check you out.’ But none of my babies had been early and being my fifth child I know what labor feels like (laughing) and if I had felt at all that I was really engaged in uh, labor activities I would not have desired to fly and, um, get back uh, to deliver in Alaska. But anyway, so no real huge labor signs. Landed in, uh, in Anchorage at about10:30. Got out to the valley at 11:30 and she met us at the hospital, checked me out and said, ‘Um, Yea you look, you may have it um tonight or in the morning.’ And it was smooth, it was relatively easy, in fact it was very easy, the easiest of all of them because he was so tiny. And, um, it’s just been absolutely wonderful. It was all, it just all seemed meant to be… the logistics and everything else just worked out so perfectly and to us he’s absolutely perfect, too.

Reporter: Of course you’re back to work already today and actually signed a bill that day, right?

Palin: That day, yeah, staff came out to the hospital and I signed a bill there so I could uh make sure we transmitted that in time and then uh here today also yeah, we have some energy updates I didn’t want to miss so that was good look and at him he’s just doing so well and it’s been easy and relaxing and again all it seems just meant to be this way.

Reporter: You said you felt some signs of labor, what were those signs?

Palin: Well not contractions so much because I had Braxton Hicks contractions for months as every pregnant woman does, and nothing real painful but just knowing that, um, it was feeling like, I may not um, be able to be pregnant a whole another four or five weeks knowing that it would be not a bother to call our doctor and let her know. And um she’s delivered how many babies over the year did she say?

Todd: Lots

Palin: A lot. It’s been a couple of decades of her delivering babies. We knew to call her and just get her advice and, um, from there we again decided to skip the energy conference reception and come on home and get checked out.

Reporter: So did your water break?

Palin: Well, if you must know more of those type of details, but, um…

Reporter: Well, your dad said that and I saw him say it so that’s why I asked.

Palin: Well that was again if, if I must get personal, technical about this at the same time, um, it was one, it was a sign that I knew, um, could lead to uh, labor being uh kind of kicked in there was any kind of, um, amniotic leaking, amniotic fluid leaking, so when, when that happened we decided OK let’s call her.

Todd: There’s a lot of new doctors out there on the streets in the last couple of days.

Palin: Yeah, that’s significant too. Todd said, uh, after getting a couple of comments he said that he said wow everybody’s a doctor, Everybody’s going to tell us what we could have should have done and even though these folks - especially the critics- they’re not doctors. They didn’t know the situation. They don’t know the situation. They, they certainly don’t know our doctor and the consultations that we’ve had with her. So we did nothing to put our child nor anyone else in danger, uh, going through this five times I know what labor is and, uh, I am not a glutton for pain and punishment. I would have never, um, wanted to travel if I had been fully engaged in labor.

Reporter: In the family statement that was issued by… it said through early testing you knew you would have some special needs.

Palin: Right…

Reporter: Can you explain?

Palin: Right, yeah, well, He’s got that extra chromosome, he has Down’s Syndrome. And, um, ya can’t tell at this stage by looking ya know but, um, there are some characteristics there that I think will become more apparent, but just absolutely perfect in our eyes and we’re just very, very, very blessed and, um it’s, its a perfect situation for us when we first heard it was, ya know, kind of confusing and, and at first blush hearing the news it was you know, I… it was received by me for a couple of hours there after hearing the news as, uh, very, very challenging… even sad… that day but just knowing that there’s purpose in every situation… there’s certainly good purpose in every child. Just knowing that, um, we should feel blessed that, uh god would choose us...

Todd: Yeah..

Palin: …to bring this child into the world. And we have hopes and dreams for him as we have with all of our children. We look forward to seeing the hopes and the dreams for Trig fulfilled.

Reporter: What does it mean for you as parents, um, and your role as parents?

Palin: Um, well, the, you know I think very significant here is the role that family and our extended family will be playing in raising Trig. Our older kids are absolutely in love with him right off the bat, um, I was so proud of the way that the kids reacted and um, our son, especially, uh, receiving a text message from him right away when he found out that the baby was born he says ‘Ya know despite, or in spite of any kind of challenge..’ He goes ‘This is just so cool. I finally got my brother. You know, eighteen years later I finally got a brother.’ So with the kids just being very much in love with him and adoring him and already very protective of him, it seems, ah, I think the family’s role here is going to be real important in the way that, uh, Trig is raised and treated and, um, again, you know I just, it just feels like he fits perfectly. He is supposed to be here with us.

Reporter: Will he need more time, you know, um, from you all, than your other babies did, do you think?

Palin: We’ll see.

Todd: We’ll see.

Palin: Yeah…

Reporter: And you’ve got… you’ve mentioned extended family your parents, siblings…

Sarah: Yeah.

Reporter: …you’ve got a lot of people, a lot of support?

Sarah: Yeah, we sure do, um..

Todd: A lot of support and that..we’re getting tons of emails today, uh, from families with special needs children. It’s very encouraging when they give us, you know, some of their life experiences dealing with this special need children (sic) so, uh, all across the nation actually today so it’s uh been pretty fun reading those emails.

Palin: In fact Todd was reading emails from, yeah, from people throughout the United States with, with their own encouragement and encouraging stories that they have about either a child that they have or that they know with Down’s Syndrome and what a blessing the child is and Todd says, ‘OK I’m determined I’m going to read these emails instead of the blog from here on out,’ and I said, ‘Please do!’ Because the emails have been very, very nice.

Reporter: Obviously it’s hard to, you know, be in this position where you have to take care of the whole state and also take care of your family. How are you going to balance that with, you know, a new baby now?

Palin: Again with that help from the extended family and having, um, you know, big siblings for this child.. that makes kind of the practical aspects of having a new one in the house much easier, much more convenient and thankfully, you know, I have a husband who loves being a dad as much as I love being a mom and Todd really goes above and beyond with, um, all the help with the kids he always has, so I’m not worried about it at all.. not having enough hours in a day or enough energy or enough, um, motivation to do both jobs. I’m a hundred percent confident that everything is going to be taking care of.

Reporter: For Todd how does it feel to be a new daddy again?

Todd: Ah, it’s just, uh, it’s amazing. It’s a huge blessing to our family. I’m excited about having another boy. You know, our oldest turned 19 yesterday. I was trying to have her hang in there for a couple days so we could have both our boys have the same birthday so we could knock it all out in one day.

Palin: Yeah. Right, right. Yeah.

Reporter: Track’s in the service now and he texted you?

Palin: He is. He is.

Reporter: Where is he right now?

Palin: Um, in Fort Wainwright. So early yesterday morning? Two mornings ago. Yeah. He got to drive down real quick and spent a couple of hours getting to see his baby brother. He brought a couple of soldier friends with him, a couple who had never held a newborn before so that was kind of fun, seeing these big tough soldiers holding this itty bitty baby in their arms and they just thought it was really special, really neat. So it was really neat to have the whole family there.

Reporter: Are you going to take a maternity leave?

Palin: No, mm,mm. I’ll, I’ll…

Reporter: You’re gonna be…you’re obviously back today..

Palin: I’ll be able to bring Trig with me, um, to many of the, um, meetings and, and events and um, parts of the job here that I’m engaged in and just working it around Trig either being here with me in the early days as I did… the last one, with Piper, when I was mayor of Wasilla, she was with me so often. And um, between that and then, um, having help with the three different sets of grandparents and all the aunts and uncles, everything is going to be taken care of.

Reporter: I know the other kids are named after Alaskan things. How did you come up with this name?

Palin: Trig is a family name on Todd’s side, um, a Bristol Bay relative named Trig and I’ve always loved the name and it’s a Norwegian name that means true and brave victory so you know I had that name in my heart for… especially once hearing about challenges that Trig probably will be facing I knew the name would fit. And then Paxson is his middle name cause that’s an awesome..

Todd: … a good place to go riding and excellent hunting.

Palin: Yeah, it is. It’s great hunting area. It is. It’s God’s country out there. And Paxson…and then we always liked the name Van Palin.

Reporters laughing.

Palin: So we just combined it all, yeah. And the kids voted and had their own ideas and we got so many cool suggestions from across the state of course lots of Alaskata names and uh, we got an email from an official in the NRA today saying ‘Oh, they’re going to love the name Trig,’ but you know they’re interpretation of what Trig meant was, you know, it’s them, anyway…

Reporter: Just a clarification – you flew commercial Alaska Airlines?

Palin: Yeah, yeah.

Reporter: And did -- This was something else I think I heard your father say I just wanted to clarify. Did you have to hide your pregnancy because you were so far along?

Palin: Well, you know I never felt nor do some people say I ever looked like I was that far along, um, so no purposeful way or need to hide that I was pregnant. Um, some, I know that some airlines would have uh, some hesitancy on letting maybe a nine month pregnant person get on board but it wasn’t nine months so, um, it was…

Reporter: And you didn’t tell them you were feeling something when you came back on the plane?

Palin: No need to because I wasn’t feeling at all like I was in labor in fact, you know I wasn’t one or maybe two contractions an hour that felt just like Braxton Hicks which I’d been having for months. That doesn’t constitute labor, so…

Aide: And guys we got to wrap it up so that he’s got to take a quick picture so we can go…

Reporter: Was it important to you to have the baby in Alaska?

Palin: It was very important that we have…it was more important that, that Trig arrive safely and healthy and um, and that is exactly what happened. The extra blessing was that Trig was able to be born into this great state, you know, kind of like, I feel like this extended Alaskan family, that he was here, for that.

Todd: Can’t have a fish-picker from Texas.

Laughter from reporters, Palin.

I find it almost impossible to wade through all the BS...

A lot of people on other blogs have been referring to this interview and asking for links to it and I thought it would be good to take a trip down memory lane. Some of the stories around the birth of Trig have been scrubbed from the ADN site, so I don't know how long the link to the audio of the interview will be active. The transcript is valuable, but her tone of voice tells us a lot more about this ludicrous story.

Enjoy!

  1. Which of these fairy tales is more believable?

Bristol becoming a nun after graduation from Harvard
    Todd working as a neurosurgeon
Track winning MVP in the NHL
The Keebler elves saying they built Sarah’s house
    OR
    Sarah’s account of Trigs birth

None of these will ever be believable...

  2. I always liked the part where Tod comes to the rescue when he sees Sarah struggling about the water breaking and remarks “There’s a lot of new doctors out there on the streets in the last couple of days.” Then typical Sarah goes on the attack instead of struggling with the rest of her made up story. We all have Grandpa Heath to thank for telling the reporters about the water breaking! Icebergs are frozen water, right?

  3. Thanks Regina for keeping this fairy tale in the blogosphere. Sarah is totally just making sh1t up as she goes along in this interview. The fact that she ever tried to pass this off as a true story is beyond me. If in fact this story is true it is more appaling than faking a pregnancy.

No one in the right mind (so I guess that excludes Sarah Palin) would fly that far and that long without even seeing a doctor knowing they are possibly giving premature birth to a DS baby.

  4. I can't believe she used progress as a verb to describe her delivery, too. As her followers are always saying, she's sooo articulate.

The effect she has on her worshipers is the best example I've ever seen of people projecting ideals onto an idol. I wonder why she inspires that? I just don't get it.

  6. I usually love the art that Regina chooses to illustrate each article. I would like to suggest the side-by-side-by-side montage of Sarah at various stages of her "pregnancy" displaying a flat belly and her trademark scarves, also, too, yabetcha.

The reason that so many people just don't believe Sarah is (1) this crazy wild ride story (2) accompanied by no photographs of a pregnant Sarah until well after the fact (3) we've never seen a birth certificate for Trig or any other proof of his birth (4) the only "proof" that Trig is Sarah's biological child is that Bristol was pregnant during the Republican Convention-huh? (6) add those crazy added stories about whether or not to tell her family, keep the child, when she found out she was pregnant, when she found out she was carrying a Downs syndrome baby (maybe her forthcoming book will have a new version). I am hesitant to add (7) because there are many readers who have described what it is like to raise a disabled child, but I would like to question her constant use of the phase, "Trig is absolutely perfect." I can only speak for myself. If I were in that situation, I don't think that I would keep using the word "perfect" when there are going to be more than the usual problems in raising him.

Thanks, Regina, for keeping the issue alive. Some of the Alaska blogs are hinting that Something Big is coming, and that they can't talk about it right now. I don't think that the baby issue is what will bring her down; I think she has even bigger problems just around the corner, and the total accumulated mess will sink her ship. Hopefully, sooner than later.

  7. You know where she says that she didn't need to hide her pregnancy from the airline because she hardly looked pregnant in the first place? That directly contradicts the "photographic evidence" of the interview where she looks like she's holding a basketball under her shirt. (Gusty photo)

  8. she said he was easy to deliver - because he was the smallest of her babies...any info on the size of her other babies?

Right, were she the size that she sports in the Legs Video, there is no way she would have been allowed to fly...that picture is as fake as her being the BIRTH mom of this child...

    ReplyDelete
  9. Her staff came to the hospital? Have any of them ever said that?

And I thought Dr Cathy Baldwin-Johnso wasn't an OB and hadn't delivered many babies? She is listed now as family practice.

Regina thanks. I can hardly stand the BS either!

  10. Don't believe I've said this here, Regina, but during all of my pregnancies, women dressed in maternity businesswear trooped and waddled into our ob/gyn's office for check-ups, and for the mandatory letters that would allow a late-term pregnant woman to fly on business. Without that just-dated, doctor-signed letter, they couldn't board a flight anywhere. Period.

Since 9/11, airlines have become much stricter about boarding passengers than they were in '80s and '90s. Everyone has to show lots of documentation. So how does a woman who's "eight months pregnant" sail past security? Of course, it's much easier if you're not really pregnant and the "empathy belly" worn for the Andrea Gusty photos was left back in Alaska.

And it's just as difficult to READ a transcript of SP's words as it is to LISTEN to her. "Inarticulate" is as polite a description as I can muster!

How can she possibly explain that April hallway big-belly "pregnancy" photo then?

    It's simple:

  14. RE: lisabeth said comment

Yes Sarah said she signed a bill that day, meaning April 18 2008,but according to the Senate
Journal it was signed the next day on April 19 and went into effect 90 days later on July 18
    2008.

    Senate Journal 2975
    SB 149
Message was received stating the Governor signed the following bill
on April 19 and transmitted the engrossed and enrolled copies to the
Lieutenant Governor's Office for permanent filing:

CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 149(L&C) "An Act
relating to redistribution of used eyeglasses and to the
    Board of Dispensing Opticians."

    Chapter 19, SLA 2008
    Effective Date: 7/18/08

The Bill was transmitted to the Governor on April 7 and she would have had 15 days to sign
or veto it.They don,t count Sundays in that 15 days so she actually had until April 24 to
sign and transmit it to the Lt.Governor,s office.
Someone from her office may have taken it to the hospital on the 18th but I bet you they
    didn,t actually see Sarah.
I really don,t believe the Senate Journal would have stated that the Bill was signed on the
19th if it was signed on the 18th.

In Sarah and Todd,s statement that CBJ had delivered lots of babies----the hospital online
nursery has 394 babies listed from Jan.1 2007 till June 7 2008.In that 17 month period CBJ
was listed 3 times as being the delivery doctor. Those dates were Mar.17 2007,Oct.3 2007,Feb.
    7 2008.
Wouldn,t you think that if she delivered lots of babies she would been listed more than
3 times in that 17 month period.
The reason I only checked till June 7 2008 is because CBJ resigned from active status on
the staff on June 8 2008 so she could put in more time on her abused children practice.

I picked up on the date Feb 7 2008, as well. Especially since there is speculation that Trig was born in February 2008 (by some posters) on PD. Bristol's car accident was in Feb 2008, too ... with a medical facility nearby.

Hmmmm ... the mind reels. At least, mine does.

  19. Just had a thought, Regina. Since you did a great job comparing pictures of baby Tripp, and we have all seen the comparisons of Sarah during her PG, why not do some of Bristol during her PG?

Zimbio has some good pictures under the RNC. In the second set of pictures (1 - 16), look at #3. She is in a tan jacket and hugging McCain (ugh!).

There is something in the back of the upper jacket that is really weird.

Some people say the RNC padded her to look five months PG when she was only three or four months.

Well, I don't think she was PG at all. Every day I look for some clue that proves she was PG, had the baby, etc. Instead, with time, it proves otherwise...to me!

Anyway, it's a thought and I think it would be an interesting story!

  20. To Anon@23:39,
I don't believe that Sarah Palin gave birth to the baby called Trig-- not for a minute! Alot of fingers point to Bristol as the possible mother, and it looks like they dragged poor Levi into it as well.

However, how could they pull off an even grander deception, namely that Bristol never gave birth to Tripp?? We're got Levi and his family looking for custody and appearing on TV shows. If he's lying, he's a remarkable actor.

Then, we have Bristol dragging around the latest drugged baby, in the GVS interview and then again in her Candies promotions. And, the Johnston family claims to have "seen" him; too complicated and too many people.

I really do think that Bristol was pregnant when her mother announced it to the world at the end of August, 2008. If you'll allow me to work a little imagination here, I think that Sarah was willing to cover for Bristol the first time, when Sarah had a good chance of being nominated for VP. Didn't want to mess up any chances at the big prize. (One possibility is that they were going to give the baby up for adoption until they learned about the Downs Syndrome diagnosis. The only agonizing that went on about aborting the baby was between Bristol and Sarah).

Continuing with my vivid imagination, the 2nd time that Bristol, Levi and a friend had to tell Sarah that Bristol was pregnant, it was "harder than labor." Subconsciously, with all of those post-partum hormones raging, I think that Bristol really loved the idea of having a baby. After all, we watched her be the official family baby sitter at the convention. She might have been a little jealous at how Sarah portrayed herself, the heroic mother and all. I think that Sarah was so angry with Bristol's carelessness that she revealed Bristol's pregnancy as a way of proving that Sarah gave to Trig, as if it proves anything. There seems to be plenty of tension there between Sarah and Bristol-- with Sarah is still pulling the strings and Bristol resenting it. Oh, well, she did like the Candies Gig.

I do think that Tripp is Bristol's baby, but he wasn't born in December when they claimed. No photos, no proof, no nothing. That's the time line to exclude Bristol from being Trig's mother. More than likely, he was born at the end of January, allowing for more than 9 or 10 months between the 2 babies (there goes the proof, poof!) I agree that they probably stuffed Bristol at the convention to oversell their story because she didn't look that pregnant in September.
But, I think that the present charade, involving Levi and his family when there is no baby is just too unbelievable. The only element that is curious is that Levi should be in court demanding a DNA test and 50% custody, and he doesn't seem to be doing that. With all that being said, you can tell, I have a vivid imagination.

  21. Ah yes, that alphabet Palinbot left out the most important letter - Y. "Y" did she fake the pregnancy? "Y" did she go to such bizarre x-treme lengths just because her 16 yr old daughter got pregnant? And "Y" was CBJ the doctor who "delivered" Trig when CBJ's speciality is here:

    http://www.thechildrens-place.org/advocacy.html

    or here is the tinyurl:

    http://tiny.cc/7gFib

    Read the last paragraph:
    "DID YOU KNOW . . . 85% ..."

I have also heard of a circumstance in which a condom was used by one couple (A) then turned inside out (ewwww!) and used by another couple (B), resulting in girl B impregnated by boy A.

  22. I can't seem to find the link to the Bradley baby. Has it been scrubbed?

Only delivering three babies seems to me to be very unusual, particularly for a doctor who is to deliver a baby with multiple risks.

Did you see where they mention drugs? The children's place is in Wasilla, the Meth Capital. That is where they allege to protect. They have a number to call the state Troopers who don't make arrests on Palins when they are caught endangering children. These children are all treated like dirt.

Bradley Joe Jr. His picture is under Find Baby By Date or name
    Arrived: Feb 7, 2008 at 5:24 AM
    Weight: 7 pounds, 8 ounces
    Length: 20.50 inches
Delivered By: Dr. Cathy Baldwin- Johnson
    Mother's Doctor: Dr. Krozel
    Baby's Doctor: Dr. Krozel
I don't see Bradley Joe Jr. as looking like Trig.

If CBJ is anything like Sarah, she supports children in state care being drugged.

  25. Just another "idea" to throw into the mix. What if Trig is Sarah Palin's but Todd is not the father, which is why Sarah gets so antsy about talking about parentage and just wants everyone to drop the subject?

While I think a lot of research and evidence may point to her being deceptive when it comes to the entire pregnancy, I still think that had Trig not been her's then someone somewhere would have already spilled the beans on that.
Now I could be wrong, maybe she was able to pull it off, but if Bristol was pregnant twice, wouldn't people know about it? Was she kept away from EVERYONE during her first pregnancy so that no one, not a friend or even a female rival somewhere noticed her pregnancy long before the "Tripp" pregnancy and have given it away? That would have been a truly HUGE media event with whomever gave up the information becoming quite popular with the media.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Bristol was gone for months to stay with an aunt, I don't know all the times. There is a time line somewhere.
Bristol is again in isolation. It's a pattern? I've only heard she was allowed to swim at school and see her coach. When friends are mentioned they do not have names. Only the fool she was dating when she took Levi from her girlfriend from grade school. What was his name? He is the only one she can see that can be mentioned by name. Is he in college? He must be parent approved material. Bristol lives in an ivory tower most of the time.

  29. Hi Regina,

I'm posting on this thread because I lost my place and can't find the post with the picture of Diana Palin and the Palins walking into church.

Anon just below my post listed the link to the video. It was the same video except it didn't show Bristol turning her head when she saw the video camera.

Also, it looks like the video was tampered with. Somehow, they slowed down her gate and it does not show her walking fast.

If you look at the place where she catches up to Todd and he waves to the camera, you can tell there is a glitch. There are about three of them.

Do you have a photo expert that can verify this? Wow! The fact the tape was tampered with has me more interested than her walking so fast into church.

Please, Regina, peruse the tape and let me know what you think!

    Thanks!

  30. Sherry Johnston's doctor is Dr. Leon Chandler, an anesthesiologist at A.A. Specialty Health Center in Anchorage.
They put something under your skin to deliver the pain killers directly to your spinal fluid. She also has an epidural stimulator.

I don't know about Dr. Chandler's relatives. Johnny Chandler and Levi were friends in Wasilla. I'm told Johnny's father lives in another state where they have more family.

  31. Anyone interested in viewing the video of the Palins going into the school/church...I finally found it.

It is titled "What Do You Think."

And, I want to thank Anon, 24May2009, 14:59, for the link...

  32. Hi Reg,

thanks a lot for bringing up this important press conference again!

I would like to add that the audio MP3-file of the press conference can be downloaded here:

    http://www.box.net/shared/zbok63zyah

It is much more convenient to own the MP3 file and then be able to listen to the press conference for example in Windows Media Player, and jump to certain parts etc.

  33. "It was all, it just all seemed meant to be… the logistics and everything else just worked out so perfectly"

Regina, could you also provide the article when Grandpa Heath was interviewed when Trig was "born" in which he talked about Sarah's water breaking? That was the key screw up in Sarah's "logistics" for the presentation of Trig on 4-18-08.

  34. And don't forget these words from Sarah upon disclosing her "pregnancy." Didn't take long for her commitment to Alaska to dissipate.

    http://www.aksuperstation.com/home/16320496.html

When asked about how this new child would affect her, the Governor said, "This is one of those circumstances that has kinda shifted our way of thinking. It certainly makes me very much more so committed to even wanting to stay in Alaska, you know wanting to raise kids in Alaska and at some point in the future I don't know how far off in the future but in some point maybe there will be other doors open."

  35. I don't think Bristol was padded for the convention to make her look more pregnant, I think her chest padding was to keep the milk from leaking.

You know, her mother's baby that she was feeding....

  36. I heard this interview during the campaign. And I knew then this woman did not have leaking amino fluid while attending a conference, standing around for photos, getting in and out of cars and airplanes, and wearing seat belts with little or no amino fluid. I experienced amino fluid leakage twice.

    Thanks, Regina.

  37. Looking at the main website photo of Sarah at Cee4Mee.

Is Sarah saying, "Alaska. I am so out of here" or is she saying, "Alaskans, you can kiss my rear"

Not many sites post photos of Sarah's rear end.... even though Johnny Mac liked to stare at it.

  39. April 21 2008 interview

Reporter: So did your water break?

Palin: Well, if you must know more of those type of details, but, um…

Reporter: Well, your dad said that and I saw him say it so that's why I asked.

I have often wondered if the female reporter that asked that question was Lori Tipton.
She,s the one that did the interview with Chuck and Sally Heath at the hospital on the
day Trig was born. She also gave an interview to Andrew Sullivan at The Daily Dish where
she stated that she saw Bristol Palin at the hospital that day.She said that she asked
Bristol if she wanted to have her picture taken with Trig and Bristol said no she didn't
    like having her picture taken.

Maybe she saw her and maybe she didn't as we only have her word for that. Her interview
with The Daily Dish was done after SP was picked for VP.Anybody who has been keeping up
with SP since the election knows that KTUU,where Lori works,is a SP fan site.Their one
claim to fame is that the Governor used to work for them as a sports reporter.
Lori's boyfriend is Bob Lester of the Bob and Mark Show. He's been her boyfriend since
at least May 2008.That guy is a really big fan of Sarah's.

Re your last post about Lori Tipton!

This is a strange story indeed. I have in my hand an e-mail from Lori Tipton dated Sept. 22, 2008.

I've posted this e-mail before...many months ago. Here's most of what she said:

"To be honest, it's a tough story to cover. There are so many rules and regulations under HIPAA to protect the privacy of individuals...no hospital or its staff members will give us any information. Mat-Su Hospital, where Gov Palin delivered, wouldn't even confirm she was a patient at the time of her delivery. "WE HAD TO CAMP OUTSIDE THE ENTRANCE AND WAIT FOR HER FAMILY TO WALK BY."

I put the last sentence in caps to emphasize it. I've seen the pictures they took outside the hospital when the Palins walked by.

So, somebody isn't telling the truth. I say the e-mail is correct and I'll be happy to fax a copy to anybody!

  41. Ginger: I remember them saying that GINO was in another room, sleeping, when they talked to 'Bristol'. MY question, though, is: Was it *REALLY* Bristol they interviewed, or was it one of the many look-alike cousins from the wide palin (sic) clan? Remember the picture of a girl holding Trig and a bottle in a stadium (don't remember the event, but GINO was speaking) - she was standing next to Willow, and she looked very much like Bristol - but we were able to definitely determine that it was NOT Bristol - even though the media insisted on it...
IMHO, it might have been the same girl, and at the time of release of the baby from the hospital (I will not call it the 'birth' day, because nobody will confirm one way or the other...), she maybe did not feel comfortable with standing-in for Bristol

Sorry, the information I have is the same as yours.

I don't, however, recall anyone outside of the immediate family, being there.

There were pictures of Chuck and Sally Heath holding Trig in the lobby of Mat-Su. I think some reporter was talking to him and he was the one that said Sarah was sleeping in another room.

Don't buy the story that says there was no way Bristol could have had a baby seven hours earlier. At 17, and being Bristol's size, after a few hours you can get up, put your clothes on and look fine. I know...I did it!

The picture KTUU took the day they left the hospital, just had Todd, Sarah, Bristol, Willow and Piper.

Maybe someone else can shed more light on this.

    Ginger

P.S. Regina! I misspelled a word...it should have been "gait" not gate!

  45. "And, um, ya can’t tell at this stage by looking ya know but, um, there are some characteristics there that I think will become more apparent, but just absolutely perfect in our eyes . . ."
And, um, I guess our little Willow is psychic and just knew that he might be Down's and had to break it to her family. What is it with Sarah's embellishments? The Down's issue reported by Sarah could be a post on it's own -- the many versions that is. (Not who gave birth or probability as has been worked to death already) But just the inconsistent accounts side by side. Which story is it Sarah?

    Re: Lori Tipton

Just had a thought and remembered that the reason I e-mailed Lori T. was because of the article she did on KTUU about Trig's birth.

The article is still there and I went back and read it again. There is nothing to indicate she was in the hospital.

How sad she would say these things if not true. Especially, to Andrew Sullivan!

    Just another twist!

  47. Hi Ginger,

this is really interesting information about the email from Lori Tipton. Would it be possible for you to send me a scanned copy of the email? My address is: patrick12344 (at) yahoo.com

That would be great! Thanks a lot!

  48. Hi Patrick,

I don't have a scanner so I am on my way to send a copy of the email.

First of all, I want you to know I'm not doing this with any glee. Lori was kind enough to respond to me and I apprediated that.

My email helps prove she wasn't inside the hospital but I think any good investigation would prove that too.

What's up with KTUU? I'd like to know why they altered the tape of the Palins walking into church. This really bugs me!

Oh, the only thing on the e-mail I redacted, was my "age." I trust you wll keep the personal information private.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you, Audrey and the gang at PD for all your hard work.

Please respond on this thread if you don't get the e-mail soon.
