Sarah Palin accepts apology

Sarah Palin's response to David Letterman's apology:

"Of course it's accepted on behalf of young women, like my daughters, who hope men who 'joke' about public displays of sexual exploitation of girls will soon evolve," she said.

"Letterman certainly has the right to 'joke' about whatever he wants to, and thankfully we have the right to express our reaction," Palin said. "This is all thanks to our U.S. Military women and men putting their lives on the line for us to secure America's Right to Free Speech - in this case, may that right be used to promote equality and respect."

Is the war in Iraq about America's Right to Free Speech? Have I missed something?

Sarah Palin is beginning to get her soundbites mixed up...

When the Exxon/ TransCanada deal starts going pear-shaped and she's criticized or lampooned about it, will she change it to: (this is my creative take on a possible "presser")

"It's all thanks to our U.S. Military men and women putting their lives on the line for us to secure our rights to the hungry markets in the Lower 48, to safely and responsibly develop our natural resources for progressing energy independence from nations that are not our friends, rein in expenditure without interference from big government with strings attached there. It's all about job creation because every life is precious and we have to walk the walk, not talk the talk. Those brave men and women protect our rights to plow through that door, following in the footsteps of our Founding Fathers, also. God bless America."

Funny post here

  3. Lovely picture, by the way.

"...may that right be used to promote equality and respect."

Just not by Sarah Palin, though.

  4. Maybe she is thanking the brave men and women who fought in America's Revolution against England 2000 years ago, when they actually did secure our right to free speech. Since then, the battles have been about something else.

  5. I had to re-read that jumble of a word salad a couple of times till I finally 'got' what she probably meant.
I am soooooo glad we have someone with proper English speaking skills in the WH...

That said... She did a half-hearted acceptance of his apology - hypocritical and snarky as usual, and mixing history and present - and acknowledging evolution DOES exist ("...young women... who hope men who 'joke' about public displays of sexual exploitation of girls will soon evolve)

  8. Regina - Thank you!

I just couldn't take the hypocrisy anymore so I've been posting the audio link in the commentary section of each new article that pops up. I've been attempting to grab a spot in one of the first slots.

    Arrrgh.

  9. I think we're all agreed that SP is a blithering idiot who can't form a coherent sentence even if it's written for her.

I am so glad that she cleared up, for all of us, that the purpose of the Iraq War was to guarantee her right to Free Speech but not free speech to comediens. We have all been wondering for about 7 years now, WHY we invaded Iraq and now we know.

Moron is too intellectual a word.

  10. "like my daughters, who hope men who 'joke' about public displays of sexual exploitation of girls will soon evolve"

I hope she will consider something more than homeschooling and on-line for her daughter's education.
They clearly want sexual exploitation of girls to soon increase.

Now that she is in her Church Lady on speed mode, will she be cleaning up all radio and media?

Did her pals, like Zeigler, called off the protest to fire Letterman? He wouldn't want to set up a fake outrage for a documentary to prove how right he is, would he? He is also out to prove why the victim Sarah lost her veep role.

  11. It is so frustrating that an elected official, especially one that wants to be president does not understand that none of this has anything to do with free speech. Freedom of speech has ONLY to do with government suppression of speech. In fact, as a government official, Letterman (as press sort of) would be the one being in danger of losing his right to freedom of speech by government suppression (Palin - government) if she succeeded in forcing him off the air or to stop talking about her, a public person. And, as her family (and children) are "official representatives" of the State of Alaska, they are fair game.

    Get it right GINO!

  13. Hey - hang in there guys.
She'll never be anything except an aging loser ex-beauty queen.

She morally bankrupt. And dumb as a box of rocks.

This is what sociopaths do - and sociopaths are not often successful at what they attempt. They may fool a few people, but not enough to win an election.

She will NEVER EVER win the a POTUS election. Not only that, but a lot of the attention she is drawing is not very good attention.

    Now it's up to Alaska.

  14. Did Sarah Palin apologize for calling Dave Letterman a pedophile and a sexual pervert?

In Alaska, all it takes is an allegation for an investigation.
