$arah Palin, brazen and gutteral

The twit tweets:

Great day w/bear management wildlife biologists; much to see in wild territory incl amazing creatures w/mama bears' gutteral raw instinct to protect & provide for her young; She sees danger? She brazenly rises up on strong hind legs, growls Don't Touch My Cubs & the species survives & mama bear doesn't look 2 anyone else 2 hand her anything; biologists say she works harder than males, is provider/protector for the future.

First misused word:
Adjective
gutteral

1. Common misspelling of guttural.

Adjective
guttural

1. Of or relating to the throat.
2. Having a harsh grating quality, as certain sounds produced in the back of the mouth.

Gutteral raw instinct???

Guttural is an adjective used to qualify sounds, I can't see how it applies to instincts. It comes from the Latin word "guttur", meaning throat.

$arah Palin probably thought it had something to do with one of the slang meanings of guts?
Noun
Gut

1.
a. The alimentary canal or a portion thereof, especially the intestine or stomach.
b. The embryonic digestive tube, consisting of the foregut, the midgut, and the hindgut.
2. guts The bowels; entrails; viscera.
3. Slang
a. Innermost emotional or visceral response: She felt in her gut that he was guilty.
b. guts The essential components or inner working parts: "The best part of a good car . . . is its guts" (Leigh Allison Wilson).
4. guts Slang
a. Courage; fortitude.
b. Nerve; audacity.

From Middle English guttes, entrails, from Old English guttas.

Next word:
Adjective
brazen
1. shameless or impudent: brazen presumption.
2. made of brass.
3. like brass, as in sound, color, or strength.

$arah Palin's use of the English language in her tweets is always very interesting...

When is she going to tweet about the Medicaid/Medicare crisis affecting so many vulnerable Alaskans?

Oh, but she did, over a month ago:

"Here’s a link re: older AKns & Medicare http://tinyurl.com/ljott2, & a great read by former LG of NY http://tinyurl.com/c44ah5"
10:41 PM Jun 8th from TwitterBerry

"True reform should benefit, not neglect, older Americans, the very bedrock of society! In AK, 80,000 AKns age 60+, to be affected by reform."
10:40 PM Jun 8th from TwitterBerry

From the ADN:

State programs intended to help disabled and elderly Alaskans with daily life -- taking a bath, eating dinner, getting to the bathroom -- are so poorly managed, the state cannot assure the health and well-being of the people they are supposed to serve, a new federal review found.

A particularly alarming finding concerns deaths of adults in the programs. In one 2 1/2 year stretch, 227 adults already getting services died while waiting for a nurse to reassess their needs. Another 27 died waiting for their initial assessment, to see if they qualified for help.

$arah Palin has been the governor of Alaska for the past 31 months. It appears she has brazenly ignored the disabled and the elderly in the Alaska she loves so much. Where were her "gutteral" raw instincts to protect her constituents? How has she provided for/protected anybody's future? 254 vulnerable Alaskans no longer have a future. This happened in her watch.

Come on, $arah, tweet us the answer!

  1. Yeah, Sarah Palin in her own language, we love it!

    I have another tidbit:

I downloaded once from a blog (cannot remember where it was) the excerpt of an email exchange between Sarah Palin and her subordinates which happened on April 12, 2008. There, Sarah apparently complains about some blog and the legislators (did she ever do anything else??) and some other things, I don't even know what that is all about, but Sarah Palin "unplugged" is always worth reading!

I originally downloaded it because it happened a few day before the official birth of Trig (and, in connection to my last comment on the previous blog, it also shows that Ivy Frye was still using her government email account at this time).

    Download here:

    Enjoy!

  2. Patrick,

Did you noticed that Kris Perry's e-mail address was krisandclark@etc etc ? How very cosy, they copied e-mails to Todd, another husband was in the loop...

That's how one conducts state business!

  3. Hi Regina,

yes, it's very interesting to see how they conducted their state business (by the way, just for the record: It's the invaluable achievement of Andree McLeod that these shady practices with private yahoo email addresses being used for government business were discovered!).

Also, they sound like a bunch of schoolkids...

  4. I love this picture of $arah! The reason that her own hair is thinning and looks wispy (is that a word?) is because some one at the beauty salon bleached and streaked it too much. Harsh chemical treatment! I love the dark hair extension which doesn't match.

And, what's with Mama Bear rearing up and protecting her young? It's a little late for more Letterman outrage. He has moved on to "zinging" her almost every night. For example, the other night he made another Madonna joke, then admonished himself, saying "Tasteless!" Paul repeated the remark, "Tasteless!" to which Dave responded wickedly to the camera, "Thank you Governor!" (Dave may have been told to apologize, but he isn't going to shut up. When a crowd gathers outside his NY theater, he jokes that it's another "Fire Letterman Rally.")

As for Mama $arah protecting her young-- how does that square with dragging poor Trig around as a political prop throughout the campaign when it was obviously not good for his health and development? Does Mama Bear $arah protect Bristol's dignity by publicly shaming her? (No! Hell, No!)

In fact, the reason that most politicians give when they suddenly leave office is to "spend more time with their family." Mama Bear $arah didn't use that excuse in her resignation speech, so it's hard to imagine her rearing up on her hind legs now. Must be some more bad news coming out about one of the Palin kids and this is advance damage control???

  5. I'll start a rumor about her kids!

What if Bristol was pregnant -- again!?

That would sort of make sense. There was a reported fight between Bristol and her mom just a couple days before Sarah called that presser to resign. Bristol didn't appear at the presser nor has she been seen publicly of late as an abstinence ambassador for Candies.

Since Bristol is still, as far as we know, unmarried -- and living at home -- another pregnancy would really really put the lie to the idea that abstinence works, and put the lie to Sarah being a good mother, and the press would be all over it for a week at least.

*shrug* Remember, it's only a rumor. I have no knowledge if it even touches truth.

  6. Great rumor! Why is she suddenly so defensive about her kids? She put them on the campaign stage for two months, when the DS child needed therapy, when Piper belonged in school, while Bristol really was pregnant! Where was The Bear then?

Wasn't there a tweet about a daughter returning from basketball camp??? Yeah! Good Rumor!

  7. Ms. Palin, would you like some Thousand Island dressing on your word salad?

  8. Regina: I think it's important to deal with the last issue you mentioned. The fact that the US Dept of Health & Human Services has embargoed enrollment in the Alaska State Medicare/Medicaid program.

This is no trivial. There have been (as you said) deaths - there are also lawsuits.

The Feds have been investigating and held a "focused audit" approximately 1 week prior to $P's resignation.

Has this ever happened before? Has a State committed such egregious actions that the Feds have stopped enrollment in a State Run Federal Program due to physician complaints and deaths?

This appears to be a program in trouble when $P took office. However she certainly did nothing to alleviate the suffering of her most vulnerable and sick citizens. She is responsible for deaths that occurred during her tenure.

I'm really concerned this isn't being addressed. H&HS (under Kathleen Sebelius) is going to rip this program. These are U.S. citizens who are dying because a State Government is incompetent.

    Stupifying.

  9. I just saw today that the "Anchorage Press" had written about "www.teamtruther.com" already on June 24!

  12. I have a wonderful idea for $arah'$ $second book. (First book worth gazillions will be ghostwritten and the big sales will come from the Bible Press). So, for $arah'$ $econd book: a collection of her most memorable Twitters. Because they read like 7 year old gibberish, Piper can illustrate the twits (tweets?), and that way she can make money like her big sister, Bristol.

  13. I would be more interested in reading a book written by Piper than Sarah. I feel, that little gal has got more on the ball than her mother any day any time.

  14. It is worth noting that Palin did not say she was quitting to spend more time with her family because she has no desire to spend time with her family, or should I say spend "more" time with her family.

She has stars in her eyes and she wants to be free from having to be concerned about her following the laws and rules of the state of Alaska. She wants to be adored. She craves it now. She wants throngs of people to hang on her every word and cheer her name.

She didn't like having to do actualy work. She never has liked that part. Listen to legislative members who will tell you she will be all smiles and attentive for the first 15 minutes of a meeting, but after that she grows bored and becomes distant. She can't answer questions so she has other people do it for her.

She is a user who will use anyone, including her own children if she thinks it will benefit her. Look at Trig, he was a great help to her on the campaign trail to help her obtain her bona fides within the special needs community, but has she had him with her at either the RTL speech she gave or the Autism walk she went on? Nope. But dangened if she didn't use him for a photo op in Runners world, and when she needed to claim that people were picking on him during that photoshop issue, she had picks of her and him posted on the state website.

She cares for her and only her. Everyone else can fall in line behind her.

  15. I can recall during her resignation she repeated several times that ethics complaints, and lawsuits as one of the reasons she was stepping down. I remember saying to myself ethics complaints are not lawsuits. She was referring to the Medicade/Medicare lawsuits. Gino had the nerve to call them frivolous, too. She knew that they were going to come to light. I am sure this had something to do with her stepping down. Among other things. This was the straw that broke the camel back.
