$arah Palin's hair. How droll...

$arah Palin on May 25 and June 7 and July 10. Didn't her hair grow quickly? Is two-tone the latest in hair fashion?

When Alaska Governor Sarah Palin recently sought “emergency’’ treatment for her hair, what, exactly, did her longtime stylist do?

“It wasn’t like I did an intervention,’’ Jessica Steele said in a phone interview from her Wasilla, Alaska, beauty parlor, the Beehive.

In fact, despite the juicy hair-loss tidbit that Palin-aholics gobbled up in a New York Times story (“The Long March to a Short-Notice Resignation,’’ July 12), Steele insisted that Palin’s hair hadn’t thinned so much as it had gone blah.

She gave Palin a much-needed trim, she said, and “kicked up’’ Palin’s shampoo and conditioner a notch, to the high-end Pureology NanoWorks line. She also gave Palin a chichi leave-in treatment, Altieri Brothers Tuscan Oil.

Steele says she doesn’t understand why Palin’s hair is still a story. But if there’s one thing more surprising than the fact that the hair of the former vice presidential candidate remains of global interest, it’s that the hairdresser to the most famous hair on Earth can be reached directly, simply by calling her at work.

“Let me give you my e-mail,’’ Steele said.

Nice ad for hair products, but she didn't mention the hair extensions...

Blah sort of sums up $arah Palin to a tee.

  1. In the original story, I just loved the way the hairdresser implied that merely spending time in the Lower 48 was enough to ruin anyone's hair.

  2. Love the extensions - the old hag must be going bald.

Also loved the story about the lying hairdresser - until of course, the email of her commenting she "loved" the story caught her by the tail and she had to remove her pack-of-lies.

God what is it with THESE people?

...for more details about "hairgate" and Jessica Steele's complex relationship with the truth. I have nothing against her - I am sure that she is a fine hairdresser. I just wished that she would understand that Sarah Palin is not an appropriate object for worshipping, and hairdressers should stay out of ultra right-wing politics - maybe she knows by now.

In my flickr-phoitostream there are also new screenshots of Jessica Steele, taken from the Team Sarah website, where she is boasting about her impressive history of interviews (Inside Edition, GQ and whatever else).

  4. Jessica Steele goes to the same church as Sarah Palin. They are blessed with the same complex relationship with the truth.

  6. Going out on a limb here - I really am not interested in $arah's hairdresser or her connections.

$arah is connected to everyone sketchy - this is not news.

I find THIS interesting though. Kristen Cole's mother is a convicted embezzler - sourcing here:

Wonder how far the apple fell from the tree ??? And what about VidOm and Mansour? Any embezzlers in their background?

Why were they in Alaska with Stapletongue???

  7. So here's a funny story - Seems like Carrie Prejean (Boobs for Jesus) actually got a deal to write a book - no seriously WRITE a book.

Did anyone know she had even READ a book?

  8. PREDICTION: All these Christian beauty pageant books are gonna tank. Those militia-Christianist folks don't read.

  12. The last we checked Cole and Mansour were not related. Cole has looney and criminal in her life. The Mansour's look respectable on the outside. They are all number crunching gamers.

  13. What is Murdock's ship doing in Alaska? Too bad Judith Reagan didn't get to write her book. It could have put more light on the Murdoch operation.

  14. Palin definitely has thinning hair: post-baby hormones and drastic weight loss. Angelina Jolie and Fergie have also lost massive hair due to weight loss (Angelina had the twins).

The hair extensions make the balding worse and irreversible. Look at Britney Spears and Jenna Jameson, they are practically bald due to so many hair extensions.

This is fascinating news because I think Palin's popularity is based on her looks so what happens in 2 years when her looks are gone?

  15. Anon@22:37,

I think $arah's hair had plenty of time to recover since the birth of Piper...

  17. Hair thinning can be from a bad diet or chemical toxins, also. I don't know why thin hair would stop her from a career with Fox media. She can wear wigs and start another career. Wouldn't you buy a beehive wig? We were told the Fox people are paying for her speech lessons. Why would they do that? They hired Glenn Beck and he goes crazy nuts. I think it is good for ratings. Having a breakdown on teh teevee is a good thing for Fox. They want her to take over the Lower48, however, they can make it happen. Ratings first. She will be loved and you'll either love her or you'll be told you are the devil. Her king maker status isn't over, they'll have their candidate. Someone who can pass for being like everyone, populace. Watch the movie "A Face in the Crowd."

  18. LOL, Regina! Yes, she surely had enough time... ;)
BTW: I wonder if $arah has some thyroid problems (thinning hair, losing weight, etc)

  19. PLEASE put her on Fox, Murdoch! That will be fabulous! Palin's business always goes "sour," so I can't wait for her relationship with Fox to go bad.

  20. Female alopecia is not unheard of - my daughter has it and has extensions. She hasn't had a child for over 8 years. Both my mother and my grandmother had it as well. It can be genetic, just like male pattern baldness and NO I am NOT defending her. She's still an idiot.

RE: Mansour - Sorry, just trying to figure out who is who in the players. The info on Cole's mother IS accurate. She did serve time for embezzlement after running to AZ with trust money she stole. I sourced it.

The Trust issue is big but evidently in Alaska you can do what you want and make it legal.

I still want to know how much the Trustee is paid, and why Mansour and VidOm are up in Alaska with Stapletongue.....

  21. Damn! I love Pureology. It's vegan. And know I'm rethinking ever using it again. I'm pretty that I'll think (shudder ewwwww) of her every time I use it. How very sad for me.

  22. And damn again. See what she makes me do? Garble everything. Let's try again, shall we?

... And NOW I'm rethinking ever using it again. I'm pretty SURE that I'll think (shudder ewwwwwwwwwww ewwwwwwwwwwww yuck) of her every time I use it.

  25. I am not sure about your comment what you called "two tone hair" You meant it as derogatory so I am guessing you don't have your hair professionally colored. Most dark haired women Sarahs age have coloring done. Good haidressers do not use a single all over color. Actually that is what is out. Natural hair has highlights and lie lights and Sarah has them weaved in obviously. The color looks great.
If none of you have heard of this you either dye your own or have an outdated hairesser. Having all the same color is flat looking.

  26. To Anon@ 01:29

I'm quite sure the "two tone hair" comment was about the picture farthest to the right, where her extensions are much darker than her real hair. No one is suggesting that highlights, when done properly, are not lovely and modern. That is not the case with her extensions, as I'm sure you will agree.

And yes, we've all heard about this.

  27. Regina, you said "Trust Funds, Dairygate, Housegate and PFDgate are the ones that would invite embezzlers."
Have I missed something? What is PFDgate?
Personally, I would like to see a Religiongate complaint filed for the $25,000 of taxpayer funds she donated to the HUB Juneau Teen Christian Center. I suspect they played a part in helping to hide Bristol's first pregnancy with Trig.

The hair dressing fluff does seem silly or just for fun. That said, I appreciate what Regina does when she brings this up. Also, I applaud Patrick for his spot on work to show us what does matter.

We need to know how the Sarah church, media and politic teams operate in their own disharmony. Beehive is an example of their ugly lies. Even her protest too much ugly little evil lies show us the nature of these sycophants and they all must be incorporated into the whole picture. What all is Jessica Steele about? In part, she made a big deal out of getting Ziegler on her case against the Times. A very political move. He is all about proving how the media is at fault for Palin failures. It is an old right wing agenda with new characters. Steele buys into it but she is just a tool also. Ziegler needs subjects to film to prove how the liberal media lies and are at fault for problems Palin created. Jessica Steele of Beehive was so much a lunatic that a case like Ziegler stayed away from her.

Let us not forget that there is a whole lot more to her church connections then meets the eye. It may look sweet and small time steele magnolia church time but if you scratch the surface and it's another story.

The hair extensions are a poor choice and a poor job. Palin should get her money back.

  31. No need to be snarky. I misunderstood Regina's comment and didn't see the two tone extensions. And not everyone know that. Where I live wecstill have women with that solid blue grey hair and platinum all one color bleach.

I also was thinking how hair seems a very shallow thing to talk about. Especially because Sarah is a scary politician. I don't care about her hair or her dress. I care about her crazy religion and her crazy extreme political views.
I think she has pretty hair and if it's thinning I feel sorry for her.

I'll be snarky if I want to! :0

From a psychological perspective for females, hair is an important topic. What women do with their hair (and ask their hairdressers to do) says something about their current mental state.

You can tell what's going on with Palin with the changes in her hair: in style, in length, in extensions. Her highlight were too obvious on 7/3--not subtle at all.

When Britney cut her hair off, it was a psychological statement.

  33. Catty women telling stories - that's what this sounds like.

She is a sick and dangerous person who probly still wants to be president . Hair is a distraction from how sick and destructive she is IMO. To each ibis or her own.

  34. The occasional posts about $arah Palin's style (or lack of it) are just for fun, but they do illustrate what a tabloid politician she has become. The NYT used the hairdresser's opinions to show how stressed $P is, but after that, it became a silly game.

I can only think of one other politician with long hair: Michelle Bachmann, another deranged airhead.

$P uses her hotness and sex-appeal to attract her "base". She's shallow and her inability to speak or write in proper English indicates that she's parroting somebody else's talking points. That's dangerous. If she's a pretty package being used to further the agenda of some group, we should worry. GW Bush was "elected" twice.

The problem with $P is that she's a loose cannon, so she might be dropped by whoever is trying to pull her strings.

    ***

I have removed comments with references to Mansour's family. We don't want to resort to the same tactics as the other side...

  36. Ahhhhhhh - was wondering what had disappeared.

I do think it is important to connect Kristen Cole to her mother though. They are both in real estate after all. Kristen Cole's mother is a CONVICTED embezzler. Kristen Cole is $P's designated TRUSTEE.

How much is Kristen Cole being paid to perform her duties for the Trust? Which according to her is doing nothing and $P knows nothing about the Trust.

In fact, it appears that $P didn't even know there WAS a Trust so how did those notes get sent?

Geez .... people are still donating to this Trust?
