Mind boggling Sarah Palin

Why is Sarah Palin so upset about people writing about rumours of an investigation regarding the construction of her nice, warm home in Lake Wasilla? Why wasn't she upset when the rumours about irregularities during the building of the house and the sports complex first emerged many months ago?

I find it very strange that she's outraged about anybody referring to rumours of an investigation into her wrongdoings but let the rumours about the same wrongdoings go unchallenged for so long.

An investigation would give an innocent person the opportunity to be vindicated.

But this is Sarah Palin... the same Sarah Palin who managed to turn a late night joke about her 18 year old knocked-up daughter into the rape of her 14 year old daughter in the middle of the Yankee Stadium. This is the iconic woman whose image of motherly love for her special needs son was desecrated in an unspeakable act of photoshopping. Yes, her lunacy follows a clear pattern. She takes the facts, twists them out of recognition and lashes out in faux outrage.

The facts about the latest outrage are simple: people heard rumours of an investigation into long running rumours of wrongdoing and mentioned them. Sarah Palin immediately lashed out at these people for daring to mention the rumours about an investigation, conveniently leaving the wrongdoing in the background. In sum: rumours about being investigated is far more outrageous than rumours about doing wrong.

It seems we can talk all we want about her wrongdoings, lies and deceptions, but we can't suggest that there are rumours of an investigation into any of them.

I remember her first reaction to David Letterman's "slutty stewardess" joke. He said she had gone to Bloomingdale's to buy make up to update her slutty air stewardess look. She pointed out that she had not gone to Bloomingdales. (Therefore she didn't look like a slutty stewardess?)

By the same token, if there's no investigation, there's no wrongdoing?

"Trying to keep up w/getting truth to u, like proof there's no 'FBI scandal'," the governor tweeted.

The mind boggles...

  2. I think this got to her because it was given national attention. She really thought everyone would swallow her "I'm quitting for the good of Alaska" line rather than going WTF? So she had all the talking heads on TV talking about a rumor rather than about how selfless and heroic she is. Everyone went off script.

She's an ugly, lying, vicious woman and I can not see why people don't realize it. A big share of the blame rests with the media, who make no effort to point out her countless lies. I don't think there is a big investigation brewing. I think she simply got very, very pissed off at something and quit in a fit of pique. I'm not sure we'll ever know what that "something" is, but it caused her anger, not fear.

  3. There are people in public office taking much bigger heat than Sarah. Look at the endless jokes made about Sen.Larry Craig tapping his foot in the men's bathroom. He didn't quit; he served out the rest of his term. He even tried to take back his confession.

Laughable Gov.Sanford who went hiking on the Appalachian Trail, I mean, went to see his lover in Argentina really should be kicked out of office. He deserted his state, couldn't be reached and didn't turn the authority over to his second in command. He's still there. Sen.Vitter, who paid for sex, apologized with his uncomfortable wife standing by his side, is running for the Senate again.

So, it just doesn't make sense that rumors, nasty bloggers and late night jokes would drive Sarah from office. If that's all that it took, we would have all ramped up the rhetoric a long time ago. You can't be President with a thin skin like that!

And, Sarah has been very selective about her outrage. Letterman wasn't the only one making jokes about the daughter who was "knocked up." But she singled him out for her outrage. Plenty of other bloggers have repeated the rumors out there about Sarah Palin, and only one was singled out for a threatened lawsuit. She doesn't seem to be threatened by the suggestion that she didn't give birth to Trig. She didn't threaten to sue the Alaska paper which first printed the Housegate scandal last October.

I offer big hearty thanks to Regina who has kept those issues circulating around the internet. I'm sure that Sarah will not go quietly; she is going to supply all of us with more outrageous stuff to come!

  4. According to all of the news stories, all of the ethics violations filed against Sarah have been dismissed.

Can anyone tell me what happened to this one: http://tinyurl.com/kukr2u
It was filed April 22, 2009 by Sondra Tompkins and it has to do with Sarah using some of her PAC money to travel to Evansville, IN during the short period when the legislature was in session and had alot of business to take care of. The trip benefited Sarah's reputation as a right-to-lifer but it had nothing to do with Alaska business (except for the silly travelogue she spouted at the beginning of her speech). Sondra names the Alaska statues that prohibit Sarah from any form of enrichment while in office.

So, any ideas if this one was dismissed? And, how is it going with Celtic Diva's emails?

  6. Thank GOD she is quitting - even now she is a moronic IDIOT!!!

Read about the WH "department of Law"!1!!:

    Just sit back and reflect:

But as for whether another pursuit of national office, as she did less than a year ago when she joined Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in the race for the White House, would result in the same political blood sport, Palin said there is a difference between the White House and what she has experienced in Alaska. If she were in the White House, she said, the "department of law" would protect her from baseless ethical allegations."I think on a national level, your department of law there in the White House would look at some of the things that we've been charged with and automatically throw them out," she said. There is no "Department of Law" at the White House.

  7. No only is there no Department of Law, what's with her saying YOUR Department of Law. Shouldn't it have been OUR - or just the Dept....? Her AIP secession thought processes are showing.

I always thought she wasn't a REAL American. She lives in her own magical kingdom.

Thanks Regina! I hope you're having a wonderful Holiday!!

  8. Ha, ha, now Palin has engendered MORE legal bills for the taxpayers of Alaska to pay, by obfuscating the line of succession.

The Alaska Department of Law (NOT the national Department of Law that Palin referred to, there IS no such thing) now has to spend hours of hours of research to be sure they are doing the right and legal thing in 1) either allowing Gen. Campbell to become Lt. Governor as per Palin's current wishes, or 2) putting Joe Schmidt in that position, which Palin set up when Colberg resigned, and whom the legislature approved some months ago.

Gee, think of all the trouble they could have saved by approving W.A.R., who said, just ignore the law and allow Palin to appoint whoever she wanted.

As of last Friday, anyway -- she might change her mind by NEXT Friday...

  9. KaJo: seems like Schmidt does not WANT that job according to some blogs I read...
So, now the legs will have to come into special session, also, too (and might just decide on the stimulus money for good measure, also, too!)

So - great job, as usual, IquitALot Palin!

And head over to Shannyn's blog and give her a shout out for her new honor.

  13. Palin is flitting around the state signing bills and probably doing photo ops.

Cunning, sneaky, and what else. She does not care--no empathy for others. Classic textbook narcisist. Unfortunately, very good at covering her a##. I don't think she likes the media at all because she can't control them. They don't understand, etc, etc. There are psychological terms for her and for what she does that I don't want to go into here.

Folks don't drag yourself down to her level of anger and hate, but don't let up. Just let others see her for what she is.

  15. I note she's tweeting 1) that she's going to be working on her supreme court nominations (yeah right, as if), and 2) tweeting incorrect Plato quotes - the last one about knowing more about someone by watching them play (ummmm, no). Turn the volume off and watch her resignation speech, you'll learn more about her reasons for quitting than listening. Rapid blinking, gulping, obvious nerves....

I saw a terrifying comment somewhere - said that they were afraid she'd announce on the 25th or 26th that she'd changed her mind. wouldn't that be something!

  16. That was me, Kyra (21:14) -- I was just speculating!

But only because I wouldn't trust this woman any further than I could throw her. I think she's capable of anything that furthers her own interests, even if it costs the state even MORE money -- like her decision to name Craig Campbell Lt. Gov. instead of Joe Schmidt.

  17. The difficulty in exposing Sarah Palin is due to numerous factors. She is equivalent to a 10,000 piece jigsaw puzzle. However, we have found all four corner pieces and the outside edges, and the middle of the picture is falling into place nearly every day now. The Vanity Fair article substantiated a lot of information gathered by Palin’s Deceptions, Palingates, Gryphen and many others. For instance, the emails between Steve Schmidt and Sarah Palin exposed the ease with which Sarah felt she could simply command someone else to lie for her when confronted with an embarrassing situation (i.e. the truth that Todd belonged to AIP for 6 or 7 years!). Many of the puzzle pieces are missing because they were scrubbed (pictures from the Gov’s website, MySpace and the Johnston’s computer) and altered (ADN changing dates, Andrea Gusty photo, etc). But enough of the jigsaw has come to light to form larger pieces - it is now finding where those larger pieces connect to the outside edges. Sarah is the rotten bratty kid who wants to spoil all your effort so she eats some of the puzzle pieces, but will eventually choke and puke them up. In fact, I think I hear her coughing now!
