Sarah Palin is too busy...

Politico reports on a fundraiser to which Sarah Palin was invited to appear as the headline speaker:

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty will headline a major fundraising dinner next month for the Iowa Republican Party, another in a growing list of signals that he’s laying the groundwork for a 2012 presidential run.

The state party originally sought out former Alaska Gov. and vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin to speak at this event – or any other she’d like to attend. Strawn said in a brief interview that while they heard back from Palin, they never got “a yes or a no.”

“We did make an open-ended request for Gov. Palin,” Strawn said. “We were told it’s under review.

Palin adviser Meg Stapleton said the former governor is still interested in a visit to the Hawkeye State, but that they couldn’t fit the dinner in.

"With the Governor's accelerated book schedule and other travel obligations, the timing was just too difficult to make a firm commitment,” Stapleton said, adding, “We look forward to another opportunity."

I find it really amusing that when Sarah Palin had her accelerated pregnancy with Trig she had no problem taking him to her office (full of germs, reporters, cameras and all that), even though he was a premature, jaundiced baby with special needs. She didn't alter her schedule at all. Everything went according to plan, perfect timing!

At least back then she was the state governor and could say she wanted to show the "neanderthals" that she could have a baby and rush back to work as if nothing had happened. The baby appeared, the baby was presented to the world, everything was back to normal, just like that!

Now that she's unemployed there are clashes in her schedule? A book is preventing Sarah Palin from progressing her career?

Does she still have a career?

  1. Yeah, Sarah didn't even take MATERNITY LEAVE for giving birth when in office.

But now, without a job, Sarah is just too busy to talk to folks.

    Right.

Will Trig be going on the book tour with her, in the same way she hauled him around during the campaign?

  2. They probably didn't offer her enough financial motivation. She's like a diva supermodel that says, "I don't get out of bed for less than a million dollars".

  3. Everyone knows the folks in Iowa aren't real Americans!

  4. Nothing.....and I mean nothing makes sense in $arah's wacky world! The book is written, no speaking engagements lined up and she is too busy? What...overseeing the construction of Bristol's new house next door? Her and Todd all snuggly watching TeeVee together? Counting their money? It is a tough life, I know, I know. Whew....it is exhausting tearing other people down for no darned good reason. Levi, we understand your pain and support you. S.H.

  5. I know what is keeping Sarah so busy. She actually has to read that book. When she shows up, even on Fox, and has to answer some questions about the book, her answer has to match what is in the book. We can have a good laugh guessing whether or not Sarah can remember what she wrote in August.

  6. Yeah, Meg's statement leads me to believe that $arah has problems making commitments and cannot multitask. Real presidential material there.

    ReplyDelete
  7. It was Newt Gingrich advised her to have some canned speeches ready to go. All she would have to do for Iowa is change the intro. and closing. That's how all the rubber-chicken circuit speakers do it. It's just like the pageant circuit, but instead of walking, smiling and waving, you read your practiced speech. Who knows? She might get away with just a "hello," some pageant moves, then "good-by."

  8. anon @ 03:09: You forget that it is a grassroots dinner and they want a question/answer session.

  9. She has finally figured out that every time she opens her mouth, everyone knows how incredibly incoherently stupid she really is.

She's ducking people who actually read, write and speak comprehensive English.

She's a phony and everyone knows she can't even conjugate a verb. Using her book to trash Levi was a really cheap trick for someone who is such a "leader". She's just a media whore.

Can we please bring back witch burning?

  10. She didn't take maternity leave because she couldn't, legally--only Trig's birth mother would have been able to do so without risking a fraud charge. :-)

  11. Basheert, She must have read Gryphen's post, where he advised her to STFU (when she was tweeting) because it made her look ridiculous.

  12. OR, she may just show up and demand to speak, demand to prance across stage, demand to be recognized. Remember, she has done this before - at a RNC dinner and at the memorial ceremony in AK for fallen Vets (the mini skirt event).
Leaving organizers hanging with no RSVP (one way or another) is her MO. Then, if she doesn't show - "we never committed" and if she DOES show, she demands the stage.
DIVA, WHACKJOB, what a piece of work - and that is just what the Republican Party says.

  13. "$arah has problems making commitments and cannot multitask."

Sarah can also too multitask there! She can bash levi, rant at Todd, watch bristol to make sure she doesn't get knocked up again, pander to special needs families, play with her grandsons, and ignore Piper, all in a day!

  14. I've got a song for her, Paul McCartney's "Blackbird":

Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arise

Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to be free

    Black-bird fly
Black-bird fly, into the light of a dark black night

    Black-bird fly
Black-bird fly, into the light of a dark black night

Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

  15. I think this seals it- she is NOT intending on seeking the 2012 Rethug nomination for POTUS. She doesn't go to an event in IOWA?! She is just keeping the inuendo going so her names stays in play and she can sell books. The SECOND that she makes it known that she won't be seeking public office ever again is the second she will be OFF everyone's mind for good.

  16. eileenM, here, there's a link to a video where she rambled on for some time, then told the audience that she hadn't prepared any remarks because she wasn't sure that she would be there.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yeah, I don't think a serious candidate for 2012 would skip that dinner. Even undecided, potential candidates won't miss it.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Folks, Palin is not intending to run. If she were, she'd be showing signs of change: someone other than Meggie at the helm, learnin' things like world geography, patchin' it up with Todders, etc.

But look, this is a woman who quit being a governor midterm for no reason. She can't do anything right. She promised her "base" political incorrect tweets! BUT WHERE ARE SAID TWEETS? She couldn't even fulfill her promised Tweet quota! IS SHE THAT SCARED OF BILL SHATNER?

Her base must be brain dead. She just takes their cash and smiles when seen. Otherwise, poison pen letters are filed under her Facebook billboard moniker, and they keep opening their wallets.

    ReplyDelete
  19. She's too busy lazily watching shopping channels whil eating crunchwrap supremes in her Walmart jammies.

  20. Can Sarah have a PAC if she doesn't plan to run for any office? If she can, then all of us can start our own individual PAC's, ask for donations, use the money for travel, to donate to candidates and pay for spokespeople. There has to be some kind of oversight and regulation regarding a PAC. It is clear that Sarah is not going to be a meaningful candidate for president, so how does she justify her PAC?

    ReplyDelete
  21. This is not one of those mass delusions where the characters are interesting to watch. I hope they end this ruse asap. We've known for some time she isn't going for a high office. I don't see how she could manage any office. What are the conditions for holding a political action committee together? Her fans will support her long after she is gone and their noise will go on. It is the moderate Republicans that need to dump her soon if they want to survive.

What is the problem with the FEC?

Everyday it is more obvious that she is a fraud and anyone who is enabling this to continue needs to go down with her. Don't tell me there aren't any Republicans that can't open their eyes and see. I'm not referring to babygate, so they can discuss.

SP will be going the way of all dumb crooks. The sooner the better for the world. Soon the focus needs to shift to what the McCain campaign knew and when did they know it.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Her obsessiveness and vindictiveness are consistent. Trooper Wooten ... Walt Monegan ... Levi Johnston. Maybe it's obsessive vindictiveness, I don't know, but they're not the traits we should be looking for in a candidate for any public office.

    ReplyDelete
  23. $arah knows the money coming in depends on her base, she is leading them on thinking she will run, they live for every word or sighting of her iconic image. She doesn't care about them, just their money and they are so stupid and blinded to see it. I think the book is coming out early before the sh!t hits the fan...

    ReplyDelete
  24. Miss Wasilla is not wearing Walmart jammies anymore.

If her book is a snark-fest as reported, that will make her a no-go for office anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  25. eileenM: No way - the people who surround her KNOW that she is not only a "blithering idiot" but she is also un-electable.

She will try to remain relevant with about 1 million supporters. The Dems and the Indies recognize mental illness when they see it. Her base is staying stable (or shrinking) not growing.

It's hard to win when the same people support you and no one else wants to join your party.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I don't think she's electable etiher. Her crowd is Limbaugh's and Beck's audience. Larry King let Michelle Bachmann know that that audience is about 1%-2% of the people.

Her facebook audience -- at about a million -- is less than 1% of facebook participants.

I think she is stringing-along her supporters for $$$.

  27. Half of Palin's Facebook audience are Democrats watching a virtual train wreck.

    Pistachios: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggB6SsB4DgM

The fact that Palin let her daughter do the pr for candies is outrageous. It is soft porn. They use our teenage daughters to promote abstinence all the while flaunting their sexuality. At least the nut ad is teenage proof. They know BS vs. sincerity.

  31. Sarah may have had 1,000 requests to speak but you can be sure that most of those were from people who either didn't expect to have to pay or who would supply at most a small honorarium. Sarah doesn't do freebies anymore.

She's going to be in for a rude shock if she's expecting many more gigs in the Hong Kong range.

  36. Anon @ 07:42, the only part you really got right in your troll rant is the part that says, "...the slime trail you leave behind Sarah Palin..."

Really, this woman is the lowest form of gastropod life, taking the last 2 months of her elected position to IGNORE THE WORK SHE WAS ELECTED TO DO but instead she began to write that book. The National Enquirer reports the book is a continuation of the rants Palin put in press releases on the state of Alaska website vilifying the teenage father of her daughter's child.

I'll bet the reason Rupert Murdoch allowed a negative-Palin article to appear in his New York Post newspaper and another in the WSJ is because he found out Palin doublecrossed him.

He paid her $7 million to write a book expanding on the various Palin biographical anecdotes that have been reported in the MSM in the past year and a half.

Instead, she used Murdoch to issue this $25 anti-Levi-Johnston rant. Once people find out that's all the book is, they won't buy it. Palin made a big mistake crossing Rupert Murdoch.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Kajo if you take your opinion from the National Enquirer then you are the biggest fool amongst this gaggle of geese. As if a 400 page book would be concentrated on Levi "that's all this book is"-do you know how stupid you sound-obviously not.As if Harper Collins would allow their reputation to be denigrated by publishing what only your fevered imagination conceives.

However,I am glad you can read the mind of Murdoch-you have amazing powers. This site is habitated by frustrated (Todd,a real man would be beyond your capacity to attract),jealous (and I would be correct I am sure)overweight, spiteful tongued women in the main.

  42. Interesting new article by Andrew Sullivan. So he confirms again that his doubts about Sarah Palin's pregnancy have not been laid to rest. ;-)

    http://tinyurl.com/ybor7aw

It's incredible how much abuse Andrew Sullivan has received since he took a stand in the faked pregnancy question - it really drives the right-wingers nuts.

I wonder how the wingnuts will feel once the truth has been revealed. Surely Sarah Palin will come up with an excuse, probably "I did it to save the babies life". Will her die-hard supporters just swallow it and forgive the "Governor"? I doubt it. The fact that Trig Truthers have been portrayed by the right-wingers as the scum of the earth will come to haunt them. Sarah had lots of opportunities to explain her deception. She didn't, and instead continued to lie, and lie, and lie.

Even the dumbest redneck will have some nagging doubts whether Sarah Palin really is presidential material after the hoax has been made public.

  45. re: comment by SP supporter quoted at Sullivan link "Sarah is a fertility goddess" WTF????? I thought the Bible was anti fertility goddess(es) in a big way.

But it does suggest a new possible motive for faking pregnancy - she couldn't stand the thought of being pushed into grandmother status, and producing one more baby would keep her clearly in the young and fertile group.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Yeah, Palin is a "fertility goddess" for a bunch of old men on the right. But that isn't a "Christian" concept now, is it?

I think that Patrick has a point there. Babygate is "the issue" that will bring her down. It is the one scandal from which she cannot recover no matter how she or her supporters try to dress it up. Fact is that the McCain campaign is up to its neck in her deceit as it released the "medical documents" that were supposed to cover her "pregnancy story". The fact is that they allowed their hands to be tied, politically and when her faked pregnancy is revealed McCain and the rest will have a lot to answer for.

  50. Truly Madly Deeply8 October 2009 at 16:34

I wouldn't compare Palin to Lilith at all.

Lilith represents the idea of feminism and emancipation of woman from man. She refused to submit to Adam and because of this she was banished by God from the garden of Eden and is portrayed as a demoness. Eve however, who used womanly guile to trick Adam into eating the apple, was permitted to stay. I'd say that Sarah more represents Eve than Lilith who was given a bum wrap and still is to this very day.

  52. It's so weird the way the Palinbots always assume that anyone who dislikes their goddess must be a fat ugly loser who is jealous of their beauty queen. It's called cognitive dissonance, anon from above; seek professional help.

Invite your (probable) opponent for the same place on the ticket to

  59. Sarah knew the gig was up sometime this year, thus why she quit the governor's office (and referred to it as a "title"). She's milking her braindead supporters for their money, because to her, it was only about the money. She's a reality show contestant of the worst sort: a fame chaser with no intelligence or career ambition.

I'm a member of the 2012 Draft Sarah committee on Facebook. It truly is a shock to read the gushing comments Palinistas make about their Quitter Queen every day. When I refute them, they say I'm drinking the Kool Aid. One even said that Sarah was smarter than all the Democrats in Congress and the White House combined.

Okay...they aren't drinking Kool-Aid. They are smoking some crazy hallucinigenics!

I can't wait to see their reaction when they learned that Palin conned them all along, like a Madoff ponzi scheme just to fund her shopping sprees at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. She ain't running in 2012 because she doesn't give a flip about anyone but herself.
