Sarah Palin bags TV job! - UPDATE

Yes... Sarah Palin is going for all the paid gigs she can get. She has seized an opportunity to go back in front of the camera. No, not her ESPN dream... it's just Fox News, no surprises there.

Former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska has signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel.

The network confirmed that Ms. Palin will appear on the network’s programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person familiar with the deal said, though she will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time.

The deal could be formally announced as early as this afternoon. Robert Barnett, Ms. Palin’s attorney, did not respond to a call for comment.

Granny Sarah has to cash in while the going is good. Her star is in decline and some day the only TV slot available to her may be on QVC, selling bumpits and pregnancy scarves.

Will the Fox News deal clash with her 2012 presidential run for the Teabaggers Party?

While on the subject of exploiting every money grabbing opportunity, we have a good exclusive coming up, involving another Palin... it should be published later on today.

Sarah Palin on joining Fox News:

"I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News," Palin said in a statement posted on the network's Web site. "It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news."

Fair and balanced, eh? Fox News???
