Some fun with proverbs and Sarah Palin
In the early days of the blog I used to collect quotes and proverbs that would fit Sarah Palin and her actions. The following were posted over two years ago and are as fresh now as they were back then...
This is just a bit of fun on this slow Saturday. Enjoy!
As you make your bed so must you lie on it.
He who pays the piper calls the tune.
Don't burn your bridges behind you.
If you can't be good, be careful.
Empty vessels make the most noise.
People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
Pride comes before a fall.
Let them eat cake.
The ends justify the means.
There's no smoke without fire.
Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
Two wrongs don't make a right.
You can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear.
Honesty is the best policy.
A bad workman always blames his tools.
A leopard cannot change its spots.
Cut off your nose to spite your face.
There are none so blind as those that will not see.
The truth will out.
A luxury once enjoyed becomes a necessity.
Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.
A sharp tongue and a dull mind are usually found in the same head.
These proverbs would make a fine collection of magnets to go on that dented fridge in Wasilla, don't you think?
