The Palins say thank you

Generous Elizabeth, a member of a certain Team connected to our Sarah, was over the moon upon receiving a thank you card from Bristol after sending a couple of gifts for Trig and Piper.

I just received a card from Bristol :)

I think it was sweet of her to send this!

Further down in the thread, replying to envious comments, such as :

Another card from the Palins? LOL, Good on you girl. Are you collecting Palin Cards or something? :)

Generous Elizabeth waxed lyric:

Hehe, I only have 2 right now. I just love sending them stuff and showing my support, and they are just so sweet enough to send out replies! :)

To which another fan commented:

They are so lucky to have such a special friend like you Elizabeth! Perhaps they'll put you on their Christmas card list? Now wouldn't that be something?

Do you have an address where we can all send gifts?

Generous Elizabeth:

Thanks everyone!

And aww Kathleen, that means the world to me for you to call me their friend! Here's where I sent the presents for Trig and Piper :) It's their home address

Blah blah
Wasilla, AK 99654

Now we know why Bristol doesn't find the time to go to school! She's too busy writing thank you cards to all those generous donors.

All these cards and postage must cost a fortune. (Start a Gift Fund Trust?) According to Chuck Heath, Sarah's dad, there were more than 100,000 gifts piling up at the Palins.

Sarah Palin's father, Chuck Heath, says that the presents have literally been piling up.

To the tune of one hundred thousand.

In an interview with Grandparents.com, Mr. Heath remarked,

"There's all kinds of gifts laying around the place - all kinds of baby stuff. I'm in a room right now just full of baby stuff - more than she'll ever use."

I think it's very sweet that people are so generous and send gifts to the Palin children. To be fair, Sarah Palin can't control that any more than she can stop lovely toy wolves and adoption certificates arriving at her home.

But considering that the Palins are not paupers and don't need the gifts, I'm sure they could find needy families, children's wings in Alaskan hospitals, daycare centres, etc, that could put this mountain of baby stuff to good use.

Such a gesture would make the Palins look good for a change. They're not often associated with giving...

I don't think these gifts have to be declared as they fall under a certain value, but 100,000? Do they received cash gifts as well as sock puppets, by any chance?

Recall Sarah Palin

  1. That just plain pathetic, to send untraceable, undeclarable boodle to the Palins and hope for a reply. Not that they'd ever ever give away the swag that they now consider their due, but there are thousands of military families with infants and small children who have one or both parents serving abroad. Certainly they would be worthier recipients than the both-hands-out pack o' Palins.

On the other hand, GINO must be quite averse to identifying herself with a cause to which First Lady Michelle Obama has committed her time and effort.

  2. So, Bristol, not Sarah, sent a thankyou card for a gift received for Trig. Makes me go hmmmmmm.

  3. That's what I was going to say, Dianne. Is this the actual card that was sent? Because it is very strange that Bristol is thanking anyone for a gift to TRIG. Not Trip. Is she the only one of those Palins with manners who sends thank you notes?

  4. For you SatanPac or TeamSatan folks sending gifts... please send diapers.

Maybe it will shut Chuck H's pie hole, so he does not need to trash Levi anymore.

  5. This sounds like idolatry, kind of like the girls who swooned over the Beatles, groupies who loved their rock idols, and now this, groupies of Sarah Palin and her family. It's upsetting that fickle idolaters would send donations, gifts to people who really don't need that stuff. It tells on our society that common sense doesn't reign anymore. There are so many kids without, so many needs, look all around us, and the Palinators get swooned if they even get a little return crumb from the Palin circus.

As christians? - they might see the bible warns against idolatry. A christian would know better than to let "celebrity" entitle them to special treatment.

  6. Diana,
And it's not just thanking the sender for a gift sent to Trigg, but thanking the sender for a gift sent to Piper!

Obviously Bristol was/is the designated thank you note writer - probably Piper can't write well enough yet and in any case, she's too busy changing diapers, feeding babies, burping, etc.

In the old days, families had lots of kids to help out with all the work that had to be done unless they were wealthy enough to have servants. But this? What a piece of work she is. What's her money for if not to help out her family?

  7. I just don't get why people idolize them so much. It is not like they have done anything special. Bristols a teen mom and Pipers a cute kid. Why don't they send these gifts instead to the millions of needy children in our world. It's just strange. I guess it's about how you were raised.

  8. To be fair, I recall reading that the shower for Trig (hosted by Kristan Cole) produced gifts that were turned over by the Palins to local military families.

Of course this was when life was simpler.

  9. Sandra, I don't doubt you, but... got a link?

  10. @Sandra...I dont doubt you either, but a link is necessary to validate that. I never heard anything like that...but who knows.

If she has 100,000 in gifts laying about, it would behoove her to give them to people who need them. I am sure there are service men and women and needy folk in Alaska.

  11. Also a WTF with Bristol thanking anyone for Trig gifts. This plays right into the Tyra Banks photo of Levi with Trig and the Larry King photo of Levi with Trig and the freudian slip of Larry King mentioning something about "seeing one of your sons" to Levi, and the endlessly repeated photos of Bristol and Levi cuddling Trig at the convention.

Perhaps this is just becoming an accepted fact without ending up being a big media extravaganza.

I just can't get my head around all of the madness surrounding this woman and her daughter and these babies!

    Just venting.....

  12. Two of you asked for links about the shower presents. Sorry. That was so long ago. I think it was in early September that I read it. It may be in with the stuff on the shower. That was on Kristan Cole's website. The original statement was probably made in May.

    I'll go searching.

  13. I googled on Shower for Trig Palin. I got a headline about the gifts for military families, but there is no article that I can find on Zimbio.

  14. Dianne and AK Pet Mom...I thought the same thing...why is Bristol sending these thank you's. We found out from the Esquire Mag that Bristol and Toad are TRIG'S main caregivers, and it seems like Bristol has taken on the stay at home mom/housewife role.Kind of sad for an 18 year old girl who should be thinking about hanging out with friends, high school prom and graduation, and looking forward to going to college in the fall. This should be the best time of her young life, but she's at home taking care of two infants and writing thank you notes.

She's like a 35 year old in an 18 year old body...

  15. This is most weird. Bristol. Supposedly first time mother with Tripp, sending thank yous for gifts for T R I G.

That's hard to wrap your head around, right there.

  16. Poor Lauden. Now she has to sell all that crap on eBay for her Auntie Sarah. I hope she's getting a good cut of the profit!
