  1. Phew indeed! Just saw this on Progressive Alaska. I don't care if I do live in Southern California - today I feel like an Alaskan!!

  2. Been sitting on pins and needles. I feel like an Alaskan, too, SoCal.
Glad they made the decision they made. What a relief!!

  3. Wonderful and now I'm sure all the Alaskans will contact their Legislator and thank them for the good job they did!!

Whew - but wow a blow out...The C4Peers are deleting the negative naliP comments off of ADN as fast as their little fingers can type.

BTW Reg = the "word" I have to type to get this posted is "DITZP" this time...hilarious!

  4. We're all relieved Alaskans today!

  5. Great news!!! Hey how do you know the c4 p are deleting negative comments? I ask because I seem to be banned from the politics blog but not from the front page? I think I told someone they came across as dumb- in oh- yep. Do they ban names or ip addresses? I'd like to shut down some of their posts!!!!!

  6. Arizona Gal,

I'm banned from the politics blog. I was always careful to be civilized, but the cee four pee gang must have spotted my flying pigs avatar. They hate my guts!

Apparently the comment appears as normal while you're logged on. If you log off it disappears. This way people don't even realize they're banned.

I think it's a disgrace. ADN shouldn't give in to a few bullies.

  7. They seem to pretty much ban anyone they don't like - they false report them as abusive and get them banned.

They are whining their a**es off aren't they?

This is SO freaking amazing and everyone is picking it up. My friend on AmericaBlog got the story from me this am and he just put it up. HuffPo is up with Shannyn - Politico has it!

    We are all Alaskans today.
And Nasty Lady is not at home to watch everyone celebrate.

  8. Wow!! What is with the censorship!!!!! That is wrong. I tried real hard to be nice but I did tell some crazed Palin lover that most Palin supporters had pea sized brains (oops!) can I register under another name? I think ADN is giving into Palin herself!
After this week, I am hoping she is finished and the Republicans who voted to confirm Ross made a big mistake! They are in the wrong side of history (great Obama quote)

  9. Hey - what do you bet that Ross goes home and beats his dog? (Well he says he doesn't beat his wife)..

    Just askin'

  10. I thought of registering with another name. I don't think they ban the ISP... We could try and see what happens.

The list of the votes about WAR is a good guide to figuring out what makes them tick. I was disappointed with Ramras, he seemed to be a decent sort, he was very helpful during the crisis in Emmonak and the other villages...

  11. IF you go to the Political Blog on ADN it will say 26 comments and there's 2...everyone is asking "where are the comments" ...they report them as "abusive" if they are not Palinistic worship comments.

    She's just plain trash ignorant....

  12. Congratulations to Alaskans!

Regina, have you seen this "Still Crazy After All These Years" retrospective at Talking Points Memo on Palin? http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/photofeatures/2009/04/best-of-sarah-palin.php?img=1

  13. GREAT JOB, ALASKAN LEGISLATURE!!!
Yes, today, we are ALL Alaskans!

O/T: Did anyone see the clip of Zieglers arrest? What a freak show he is!

  14. What I heard was happening is that it is an automatic program and if you get flagged by enough people then you will have your posting suspended. Or removed. If you are having that problem and you haven't done anything that breaks Pat Dougherty's rules (the editor of ADN) send him an email and let him know what is happening. They are flagging away one blog entry at a time. So you might have 15 or 20 abuse reports all in a short span.

  15. I was very, very careful at ADN and actually never had a problem until I asked someone if they knew what magical thinking was (referring to SP, but I think Pat thought I meant the commenter). He had just posted his long list of rules, so I guess that was considered an ad hominem attack. Pretty hard to have a political discussion without a few bent feelings. oh well. it's a frustrating blog to comment on.

Did anyone else notice how quickly WAR's name disappeared from the State of Alaska website? and how quickly SP posted a citation for him? She obviously was expecting him to go down in flames.

I'm in California, but there are too many people down here (and the rest of the 48) who think she's great so I think it's too important to stay informed about what she's doing - plus - it's just too entertaining (and scary).

  16. For the last day or so we've been fighting the sarahphiles on ADN by recommending every post that we like; hopefully enough recommendations will offset a possible account deletion because of Sarah's minions abusing the "report abuse" buttons.

So make sure that you hit the "recommend" button for any poster's comments that you agree with.
