Sarah Palin, the sharp shooter

Levi said Sarah was not a hunter and did not know about guns... this video confirms it.

If she hunted moose and caribou she would be totally familiar with how to hold a rifle properly and how to properly place it in her shoulder. If she had shot a high powered rifle the way she first positions the M16 in this video, she would end up with a broken shoulder.

She looks absolutely clueless about guns in this video... look at how she first positions the gun at 13sec into video.... the instructor has to reach over and push the gun down to a more proper position. She still ends up firing it with the butt of the gun too high up on her shoulder.

Judging by the absence of smoke, shells and real noise, it was just a pretend shoot. Observe the position of the rifle and other details in this next video. It was shot with a silencer.

  1. Yeah, notice in Sarah's video that the rifle doesn't kick when there are what may be rifle fire sounds! Then go look at the other video and you clearly see the rifle kick back into the guys shoulder each time it's fired.

There is no end to her fakery!

  2. She was probably taking rifle practice because of all those pesky bloggers in Alaska!

  3. Wonder if Sarah knows how to put a worm on a fishing hook?

Yes, that was a M16 simulator range in Kuwait.

    Gun is fake gun...

In the 1st Greata interview (in earlier post) she asks Sarah about hunting and shooting caribou and moose... you can watch Sarah try to come up with an answer without lying too much when asked how many caribou have you shot? ..Sarah says, "a few"

  4. How does anything in that video of her make Christians think this is what is need in a leader?

  5. In one of those Greta videos below from the Sept 2 post, that the Palinistas keep saying is "proof Sarah Palin cooks", it also captures Palin saying she doesn't shoot moose, that she hunts caribou because "it's easier". She further qualifies who really does the actual hunting by saying it depends who has the permit, blah blah, as to who actually shoots the meat.

I would not be surprised if she hasn't pulled the trigger herself out hunting for a number of years. Same with the commercial fishing: I don't know many people who can commercially fish and manage to keep a pristine looking french manicure while doing it.

Regarding both the "moose stew" and the caribou or moose hot dogs, she admits they have none of either in their freezer and that she got some from her Dad's freezer. Clearly they are not eating meat out of their own freezer all winter, but Palin knew Greta would want her chili and so she had to go get some from ol' Chuck so Greta would be happy.

Also, the Palinistas are using a quote from the Todd Palin article where it talks about Palin instructing Levi on how to tell if a roast is done, again as proof that Palin cooks. But they ignore the other parts of the article that talk about how much laundry Todd does, that Bristol and Todd are the primary caregivers for Trig. Meals are haphazard and seem not to involve much home cooking.

That same article paints an unflattering portrait of Palin when she comes home from work as the gov, after Todd has had a busy day holding down the fort, and nearly the first words out of Palin's mouth are some griping about "why aren't the Christmas lights up yet?".

Just wanted to add that Greta has claimed that her interviews with Palin all came through her own bookers and not because her husband was advising Palin. Yet I noticed for the first time, in the "Todd Palin teaches Greta to ride a Snowmachine" video in the Sept 2 post, that somebody who sure looks like Greta's husband John Coale appears briefly several times in that video.

This was the first time I noticed that, because when I watched these videos months ago I did not yet know what John Coale looked like. This time I noticed that as Palin and Piper follow Greta and Todd down to the frozen lake, a sturdily built older man in an expensive looking long winter coat accompanies them to the shore. You can also see him at points as Palin walks out onto the dock to watch the action. The camera man seemed to be trying to keep Coale out of the shot most of the time, but a few times he is in the shot.

At least it sure looks like Coale to me. I doubt you see many people in coats like that in Alaska. And somebody yells to Greta in a joking way from off camera, as she talks about going fast, that "you've got your lawyer here" or something like that. I think that was her husband, John Coale.

The reason I am making such a big deal about this John Coale thing is that Greta has been very defensive about her and her husband's connection to Palin. She specifically has stated she got this interview solely through the bookers for her show, and not through any connection to her husband "helping" Palin. If that is true, I wonder why she was dragging a high priced lawyer like her husband along on this interview.

The other reason I mention this is because as Sarah remains silent and out of view for weeks, the only way I can imagine her not being allowed access to phones/internet/cameras is if she is in rehab, in a psych ward, or in intensive Scientology "counseling".

  10. Anon 19:45, I think that John Coale is also the guy who set up her PAC and legal defense funds for Sarah. Isn't he the guy who bragged that the minute they went on line they collected hundreds of thousands of dollars?

Later, when ethics violations were filed against Sarah regarding those funds, the very defensive lawyer, Coale, said that they were set up in accordance with federal guidelines, since he was a Washington DC lawyer. The trouble was that Alaska's regulations did not correspond to the Washington DC ones, hence the trouble.

So, we are shocked shocked shocked to find out that $arah is a fake. The only thing about her that is real is her shameless need for attention, money, more attention and more money. The family was a fake, Trig's birth may have been faked, her marriage isn't looking all that good.

She was a fake as a mayor (needed a manager). She was a fake as a governor (quit midterm). She was a fake as a national candidate who did not submit to one national open press conference, did not appear on one Sunday morning political talk show. Hell, she didn't even answer the debate questions.

Sarah was absent for two weeks after the convention last year as the McCain campaign tried to whip her into shape. Judging from the results, she needed more than 2 weeks, and wasn't very good at following directions.

Coale had been coaching her, and that didn't seem to have much effect. Now we will have to see if Rupert can turn the scullery maid into Cinderella, or Liza Doolittle into My Fair Lady. He has more time and money to spend than the GOP did last September. But, he does have a deadline- we'll have to see how well the new, improved Sarah does in Hong Kong. Or will that turn out to be a fake, too?

  11. Sarah is a total fake...fake fisherman, fake hunter, fake wife, fake mother, fake gun expert, fake governor, fake church-goer, and fake cook.

She is a facade, a hollow shell, a veneer and image created in her own delusional mind, and those of her supporters. There's nothing wrong with being tired when you come home from work, being frustrated with your husband and kids, and even vegging out on the couch watching reality TV. As a wife and working mother, that happens to me, too. But, Sarah and touted herself as a holier than thou bible thumper, superwoman who had the picture perfect family, mavericky reformer who fights government corruption while simultaneously pumping breast milk as she drags home the moose she just shot in the woods behind her house on pristine Lake Lucille built by her Iron Dog racing husband and his buddies. I knew a year ago that Sarah was a phony...it's just not possible. Sarah used her motherhood as a political qualification, and now that the veneer has been wiped off the Palin family, we see they are more dysfunctional than we could have even imagined.

Do I as a liberal Democrat fear Sarah Palin, the person? No, she and I actually have things in common. We are close in age, we are working mothers, we like home shows on TV, Starbucks, Diet Dr. Pepper, and hot baths. I love to shop for designer clothes and shoes (on sale of course). Sarah Palin the politician scares me...the ignorance, the vindictiveness, her use of hateful, divisive rhetoric , and above all else her lying and hypocrisy. This country cannot afford another GW Bush puppet president controlled by the worst faction of the far right. We all know how ell that worked out.

  13. FAKE - no live rounds:
No ear protection, no shells are being ejected, instructor is standing right where the shells would eject from Sarah's rifle, people/cameraman standing nearly in front of muzzles instead of behind all shooters, not realistic recoil, etc.

Sarah Palin really is a complete fraud.

  14. Hey isn't this about the time "she" got "pregnant" with Trig?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yes, she looks at least 8 months pregnant is the video.... she just forgot her scarf for this press op.

Why is she shooting a fake gun when she is pregnant?

  16. Thanks for this post Regina... it's really funny and totally backs up what Levi is saying. If only $arah could be found... maybe Track could give her some lessons while he is on leave. I guess it is no wonder that in all those 'publicity STILL photos ' we see her with her aiming the gun and nothing else. A whole clip would have all the Military Veterans laughing. And she just got that Award from speaking to the NRA last month in Anchorage...too funny.
With everything else that is phony about Her, SJK had it dead on when she pointed out that the gun had an imbilical cord attached to it.I assume that this is something similar to a gun you could shoot at a ' Carnival shooting gallery ' where the lazer beam hits the target and scores..? I think another description would be that it is called a ' simulator '.... like they have flight simulators. Those are used for practice... when you can't really do any damage.... like crashing a plane. The stock position against the shoulder as someone pointed out is very telling. She has this rifle almost resting on top of her shoulder like she was ready to fire a bazooka in those old war movies. This might be OK... but when do REAL hunters get a chance to go shoot Moose or Caribou with bazookas...?
{ If there are any of you Cartoonists out there....THAT would be a funny cartoon- Caribou Barbie with her bazooka }The captions might be really funny. Just an idea.

  17. Bravo, VV! All of your points are absolutely on. It's not enough for $P to be a working mother, she has to be St. Working Mother! And I'm glad that someone else has questioned $P's familiarity with guns, which seemed clumsy even to someone who's never touched one.

A little-discussed but valid bit of Heath/Palin lore is that Chuck Sr. insists that each member of his family get a hunting tag. That way he can bag a moose on someone else's permit. No, it isn't legal.

  18. I'm outraged!!!

The Commander-in-Chief of the Alaska National Guard is not allowed to shoot real bullets with a real gun.

Guess they just did not trust her... me neither ..

    ReplyDelete
  19. that would be one of the lazer guns that the military is using for training. No need for ammo to train and no messy lead clean up on the range. Still, she does not tuck that gun into place like a skilled hunter would.

  20. Okay you guys are getting a little bit too nit picky here. I'm an experienced rifle shooter myself and I can tell you there is a big difference between a hunting rifle and an assault rifle. I've no doubt she knows how to hunt and fish. Most of us who grew up in the "boonies" do.

  21. Maybe the game warden should take Sarah out on the range and see if she can hit the broad side of a barn. If she can't, any moose or other game that were claimed on her permit should be questioned and someone should be fined, at minimum. But what am I saying, they are probably all fundies like her. Oh well.

  22. Finally managed to get signed in so I can post under my own account...

And yes, Anon 20:10, I also think Rupert is having a go at getting Palin spruced up to where she can make some coherent presentations. But so far, no amount of tutoring by anybody seems to have accomplished much.

IF she has the hair and makeup people with her at all times she can keep herself presentable, but we saw how much $$$ that cost the McCain campaign.

I watch Greta now and then for a few minutes at a time and last I saw she was still doing the "another vicious attack by media on Governor Palin" kind of stories. I think she and Coale still have their own designs on Palin, while Rupert Murdoch seems likely to be calling the shots right now.

I wonder if Greta/Coale and Rupert have the same goals for Palin or are they rival puppetmasters? Scientology itself has a big bundle of money to spend. I think they would love to see Sarah make it big on TV with Rupert's help, while converting her to be a loyal Scientologist...

If I get bored I can go see what Greta has had to say on her blog about the VF article...

Also, I had to laugh - I looked at a few of the Pro-Palin You Tube videos of gun toting Scarah saving the world, and now I know that the gun they show her shooting isn't even real!!! The Terminator Sarah Palin Chronicles makes sure to crop the shot so you don't see the gun umbilical cord LOL!!

  24. I'd never seen that video before. And the Palinistas are using it as evidence she can shoot? What a hoot. I'm no expert myself, but anyone who has ever fired a rifle or a shotgun knows to brace it against their shoulder. The way she first holds it up in the air by her face is a dead giveaway. And no ear protectors or flying shells screams "simulator".

It's okay if she can't shoot; a lot of people can't. But that gun-shootin', moose-skinnin' image is a HUGE part of her appeal, along with the loving wife and mother who can do it all. Which is why it irks me that people are criticizing Levi fro spilling the truth about her. He's just saying she's a fraud, and that's something we need to know about her. It goes to the heart of what kind of person she is--a liar, a fake, a lazy ass who wants it all without having to work for it.

  25. I was going to say something in comments about this very thing yesterday when I read Levi's Vanity Fair comments about Palin's gun under the bed.

But all I had to back up my opinion was a still picture of Palin without a very good view of her shoulder, and a not-so-clear view of her squinting eye (it didn't look to me like she had her eye anywhere near the scope).

I learned how to shoot a .22 rifle on a Sheriff's Rifle Range when I was a teenager, and reached "sharpshooter" status, even with glasses. They were very thorough about how you hold a rifle, sight it, proper firing positions, etc.

Palin looked SO awkward, even in the one still picture I found. She looks 'way worse and out of her element in this video.

    --------------

As far as this being Palin's "Dukakis tank moment", Anon @ 21:34, I thought THAT happened when she was in that June Kosovo helmet-and-flight-suit getup looking like a kid wearing a Halloween costume with too-large goggles.

  26. Part of the vendetta agaist Wooten (Troopergate) involved shooting a moose illegally. He took Molly, Sarah's sister, to shoot a moose before her tag expired, or the shooting season ended, or something like that. Chuck Heath didn't want to waste her tag and insisted they went hunting and brought back a moose. Molly, another sharp shooter tought to hunt by Chuck, chickened out, Wooten shot the moose and was later accused of doing it illegally by the Palins.

It's a whole family of sharp shooters, hunters, whatever!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think that when Sarah was a little girl she did indeed go on some hunting trips with Ol' Chuck Heath, and I am sure he insisted she shoot some game.

And when Sarah and Todd were first married and young and poor, she probably did help out with the commercial fishing.

But I'll bet SP hasn't really hunted or fished in years. Maybe gone along on hunting trips for the social aspect of it, and to be there when Dad or somebody else does the actual shooting.

I think some time back she decided she was destined for bigger things, and I have a hard time imagining her getting dirt/blood etc under her fingernails and ruining her manicure these days. But that didn't mean the hunting and fishing stories couldn't come in handy for building her Super Sarah image.

We've already read in multiple places about Palins/Heaths bagging game off other people's tags. One of the things about the Wooten situation that really amazed me was that the Palins took home and ate game that Wooten bagged off his wife's tag, and then later they reported him for it. Seems like they didn't care at all about this violation of the law and were willing to eat the meat, and then they report the guy for it? Classy....

On another note, I was surprised just how many of these video montages there are of: Sarah shooting the (fake training) gun, Sarah in the flight suit, Sarah with the troops, Sarah in younger days huntin' and fishin'. I also saw on that same You Tube page that had the "Sarah Palin Chronicles" video that there was a "Sarah Palin: VPILF!" video with close to 2 millions views that I did NOT watch. BLECCH! Sarah's fans, again keepin' it classy!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I just watched that video from Kuwait - she is almost hyperventilating; has a deer-in-the-headlights look on her face when she realizes she will actually be expected to hold/shoot that gun!
I also noticed, how each time she is ready to shoot, the guy next to her raises his gun and shoots - as if to fake some hits at the target.

The gun definitely has the umbilical chord, like at a state fair...

  29. Mrs. TBB, it gets me enraged every time I think about how McCain tried to sell this woman to us like a fake designer bag...on the surface it looks like the real deal, shiny, new and pretty, but once you open it up, examine it closely, then start using it, the bag completely falls apart, just like Sarah did. She is about as authentic as a Louis Vuitton bag you buy on the streets of NYC.

  30. Well, even if she can't shoot a gun, she sure can thrust her chest out while wearing a snug tee shirt.

  32. I think Levi's comment about her not hunting and fishing and living off animal meat meant..
She acts like she lives in the mountains and goes out shooting game.. fishing .. eating on fresh wholesome wild animal meat

    But she doesn't
She lives in that big climate controlled house and spends her days thinking about herself

She may of hunted or fished or ate wild game at one time.. but it is not her day to day life as she tries to make it sound

She is trying to reach the folk that still life like that. The only thing she has in common with that crowd "today" is she would meet up AFTER they went out for a beer at a local bar as long as the camera's were clicking and she could sign autographs

    I helped my brother skin a rabbit when I was 9 :(
and have put many worms on a fishing pole ..again :( yuk
Does that make me a wild annie oakly? not in the least

  33. Levi said: “She had a gun in her bedroom and one day she asked me to show her how to shoot it. I asked her what kind of gun it was, and she said she didn't know, because it was in a box under her bed."
    http://voices.washingtonpost.com/reliable-source/2009/09/levi.html

Whew, Levi, that was a close call! Don’t you know how many “accidents” happen when showing an “inexperienced” person how to load a gun? When was that, exactly? Why would she ask YOU instead of Todd or the Great White Hunter Grandpa Heath? Mull that one over. Or perhaps Rex already did, which is why Tank is close by. Just food for thought.

  34. Someone needs to make sure that NY Times columnist

  35. First off, I would like to point out I am an NRA qualified Distinguished Expert rifle shooter. Just so you know when you're firing any unfamiliar gun for the first time, the buttplate (especially the ones that aren't adjustable) is likely to be uncomfortable and hard to place correctly into the shoulder. Even on my rifle, -which is very familiar to me and which I have taken to the nationals, my buttplate is forced into the air even when the buttplate is adjusted to be as low as possible so I can keep my head in the right position.
