Sarah Palin's former top-official Frank Bailey: The axe has fallen down on the hatchet man

There is sad news: The axe has fallen down on the hatchet man!

Frank Bailey, the former top-official in Sarah Palin's administration who played a major role in the "Troopergate" scandal, was about to write his "tell-all book". Andrew Halcro wrote on October 22, 2009:

Bailey, former Gov. Sarah Palin's right hand man, has signed on with Releve Marketing of San Diego who anounced today that they are in in the process of writing their upcoming book "Renegade: Sarah Palin's Hatchet Man," which they say is from the unique perspective of one of Palin's three inner circle confidants.

In an interview with Joy Morgan this morning, one of the co-authors of the book, she said the book will be "accurate, factual and very documented." She stated the book will tell Bailey's "side of the story."

But now, "Releve Marketing" caved in. On their website, the following can be read from today:

Releve Marketing and PR has made the decision to no longer represent or co-author Frank Bailey's upcoming book Renegade: Sarah Palin's Hatchet Man. We are currently accepting other public relations clients and writing projects.

On the page with the biographies of the people connected with Releve Marketing, the bio of Frank Bailey was included - but it was deleted from this page today. Only the biographies of Joy Morgan and Christiana Grace have remained on the page. Missing is the biography of Frank Bailey, which read until today:

Frank Bailey Frank Bailey was former Director, State of Alaska Office of Boards and Commissions where he was responsible for more than 600 appointments to 120 State Boards or Commissions. He managed all aspects of 15 Judicial appointments ranging from Alaska District Court to Alaska Supreme Court. Frank was previously Communications Officer, Legislative Liaison, Special Assistant to the Commissioner; Deputy Director of the Palin/ Parnell Transition Team; and Campaign Administrator. As well, he is a musician, an instrument pilot and business owner. Frank lives with his family in Alaska.

It looks like the hatchet man himself now needs a bigger axe...

In addition: It is very interesting to note that Andrew Halcro removed one blogpost from his blog index, so for his visitors it can no longer be found. This post was called "Coming Monday - Bailey's on the rocks". The page itself still exists and can be seen here.

In this post, Andrew Halcro gave a little snippet of what Frank Bailey was going to reveal in his book. He explained that according to Frank Bailey, a shot in front of a hotel which was taken for one of Sarah Palin's campaign commercials in 2005 might have been staged - although Palin's campaign had strictly denied in the past that it was staged. Andrew Halcro leaves this questions open.

Furthermore, Andrew Halcro explored in this post the question of who pressured Frank Bailey into making a "Troopergate" related phonecall in February 2008, and concluded:

So who pressured Bailey into calling Dial? It seems that Todd Palin pressured Frye into pressuring Bailey into making the call, thus Bailey's revalation to Dial that he was calling on behalf of Sarah and Todd and in doing so Todd could deny culpability.

I myself don't know whether Andrew Halcro's conclusion is correct or not, but it might very well be the case the someone wasn't very happy with it.

  1. I am not sure that Releve had the capacity to do the book.

Well Bailey will have no problem finding a new publisher then, will he?

  3. Anyone think that it was not Sarah's people who stopped the book? Maybe he's going to be giving information to the DOJ (or whoever would prosecute housegate, other gates - I'd be lying if I said I know) related to a case being built against SP? Just a thought put badly, but hopefully you know what I mean.

  4. LOL, He is probably Gryphens "source". This is never gonna end.

  5. It is time for an adult in Alaska to step up and expose all of Sarah's dirty laundry.

Leaving this job on the shoulders of a 19 year old is not right.

Where are all the tough rugged men in Alaska? Are you afraid of a ex-governor?

  6. I totally agree with 16:49. I have been leaving "Step up, Adults in AK!" admonitions on various AK-related blogs for a few weeks now.

Can you imagine the large numbers of adults in AK who know the various illegal things that Palin did? It's got to be a huge pool of folks, since she was governor.

This Bailey move is very interesting; it will most likely lead to something else being revealed.

  7. If there is a God, it is exposing these hypocrites -- Carrie Prejean, Sarah Palin, Gov. of SC, Sen. of Idaho, NV Sen. Ensign, etc -- just like It exposed the hypocrisy of the evangelists.

By the way, God would be sexless, an 'it', because if It lives eternally It would have no need to reproduce. Stupid is as Sarah Palin does and says.

  8. Sounds like thre have been legal threats coming from the moneybags of the Alaska Fund Trust.

  9. If he has anything to say, he'll find another publisher.

In the meantime, don't forget to check out www.orbooks.com .. they are publishing Going Rouge: An American Nightmare (not available in store)

  10. Well, remember the day before the information came out about Bailey's book information ? Gryphen had said something like "I don't know where Sarah Palin is but I do know what she is doing...her head is exploding." (paraphrased) Then suddenly we hear that Frank's book is not being puiblished. People were speculating that Frank had been bought off by $arah or he was being threatened. Gryphen commented that Frank did not sell out and that he was under a lot of pressure. From whom, Gryphen? $arah, Rupert, FBI, or DOJ?

  11. Gryphen says that Sarah is going nuts in nearly every blogpost. Say something often enough and it might come true.

I think in that blogpost he was referring to Levi's actions not anyone elses.

    Go Levi!

  12. With all the circumstantial coming out why doesn't the Dept of Justice question Bailey? He only needs to do a book if he wants to set the public record straight or he wants to earn money or both.

If Bailey is talking to Feds now he may have wanted to post pone a book. His PR friends are helping him pull back since the time is not right?

  13. Andrew Halcro has this note up under his "Wednesday Shout-Outs"

A press release yesterday from Releve Marketing, the firm retained by Frank Bailey to publish his tell tale story, The Renagede: Sarah Palin's Hatchet Man, announced the deal was off.

In a one sentence release the firm said they were dropping the project.

The deal is off? But they've been soliciting press coverage about the book for almost a month, promising Bailey's yarn would be factual and well documented.

Maybe someone got to Frank and invited him to go fishing or maybe it's just a fact that this clan is incapable of finishing anything they start.

  14. I'm sure I read in another (earlier) version of the Halcro post you've linked to that Bailey confirmed that the RGA "photo-op" footage was staged.

Yes, I am certain that I read that too, but I didn't include this in the post as I had made no screenshot of it.

  16. Yes I read that too - Halcro said that Bailey would confirm the fact that the commercial was staged. He seems to have edited that post for some reason.

Someone in Alaska should ask Halcro why he did that.

  17. Another conservative seeks Palin's endorsement? How long before they release that it is the kiss of death?

  18. I wonder if this is a joke? It does seem like quite the presidential thing to do to me...

The keynote speaker at June's Bowl Expo in Las Vegas will be Sarah Palin.

  20. Andrew Halcro said it would be confirmed because he was told by the co-author on numerous occasions that it would be. He's not the kind of guy that says something that isn't true. No one knows at this point why the author canceled the contract, but to Alaskans it's obvious Sarah and her henchmen got to Frank.

  21. I think it is entirely possible that an entity such as the DOJ asked him to delay the book if it might spoil some pending investigation. . .Bailey is central to the email flapdoodle, for one, and who knows how many other issues that are being 'looked into.'
