Frank Bailey, the former top-official in Sarah Palin's administration who played a major role in the "Troopergate" scandal, was about to write his "tell-all book". Andrew Halcro wrote on October 22, 2009:
Bailey, former Gov. Sarah Palin's right hand man, has signed on with Releve Marketing of San Diego who anounced today that they are in in the process of writing their upcoming book "Renegade: Sarah Palin's Hatchet Man," which they say is from the unique perspective of one of Palin's three inner circle confidants.
In an interview with Joy Morgan this morning, one of the co-authors of the book, she said the book will be "accurate, factual and very documented." She stated the book will tell Bailey's "side of the story."
But now, "Releve Marketing" caved in. On their website, the following can be read from today:Releve Marketing and PR has made the decision to no longer represent or co-author Frank Bailey's upcoming book Renegade: Sarah Palin's Hatchet Man. We are currently accepting other public relations clients and writing projects.
On the page with the biographies of the people connected with Releve Marketing, the bio of Frank Bailey was included - but it was deleted from this page today. Only the biographies of Joy Morgan and Christiana Grace have remained on the page. Missing is the biography of Frank Bailey, which read until today:
Frank Bailey Frank Bailey was former Director, State of Alaska Office of Boards and Commissions where he was responsible for more than 600 appointments to 120 State Boards or Commissions. He managed all aspects of 15 Judicial appointments ranging from Alaska District Court to Alaska Supreme Court. Frank was previously Communications Officer, Legislative Liaison, Special Assistant to the Commissioner; Deputy Director of the Palin/ Parnell Transition Team; and Campaign Administrator. As well, he is a musician, an instrument pilot and business owner. Frank lives with his family in Alaska.
It looks like the hatchet man himself now needs a bigger axe...
In addition: It is very interesting to note that Andrew Halcro removed one blogpost from his blog index, so for his visitors it can no longer be found. This post was called "Coming Monday - Bailey's on the rocks". The page itself still exists and can be seen here.
In this post, Andrew Halcro gave a little snippet of what Frank Bailey was going to reveal in his book. He explained that according to Frank Bailey, a shot in front of a hotel which was taken for one of Sarah Palin's campaign commercials in 2005 might have been staged - although Palin's campaign had strictly denied in the past that it was staged. Andrew Halcro leaves this questions open.
Furthermore, Andrew Halcro explored in this post the question of who pressured Frank Bailey into making a "Troopergate" related phonecall in February 2008, and concluded:
So who pressured Bailey into calling Dial? It seems that Todd Palin pressured Frye into pressuring Bailey into making the call, thus Bailey's revalation to Dial that he was calling on behalf of Sarah and Todd and in doing so Todd could deny culpability.
I myself don't know whether Andrew Halcro's conclusion is correct or not, but it might very well be the case the someone wasn't very happy with it.
