The facts about Sarah Palin's flights - New information shows original statement by Harper Collins was false! - UPDATE: SARAH PALIN REACTS ON FACEBOOK

+++

UPDATE: SARAH PALIN REACTS ON FACEOOK, MENTIONS THE FAKE PREGNANCY ALLEGATIONS AND TAKES A STAB AT PALINGATES!

I absolutely knew that this would happen. Sarah Palin is just too predictable.

Sarah, I have a message for you:

You are liar and a fraud who has not only faked a pregnancy while being a Governor and then used the child constantly as a prop, but you are also severely mentally disturbed and should have no place in politics.

By the way, we are still waiting for the letter from your lawyer, for over a year now! Has it gone into the spam-folder?

Sarah, if you have nothing to hide about your "bus tour": Can you tell me why Harper Collins distorted the reality of your trip yesterday in a statement? (see below!)

Hey Sarah, now we have a conversation going!

Sarah, I would like to show you so many things - what about this clip - say hello to Michael Carey:

More will follow! ;-)

Well, here is more (click to enlarge):

Sarah wrote today on her facebook:

"Media's Priorities Shine Bright, Again! :)

Today at 1:40pm

It’s really comical at this point! Despite all of the important events happening in the world today – the president’s speech tonight on the strategy in Afghanistan, the Senate debate over health care reform, the disturbing details of the “Climategate” scandal, the continuing challenges facing the world economy – the media is concerned about my travel and lodging arrangements on my book tour?! Does this sound familiar? It should. The media showed the same out-of-proportion obsession with my personal arrangements, clothes, and hairstyles last year instead of focusing on the crucial issues involving the election.

So what is this news “story”? That I fly on an airplane to complete some of the stops on my book tour when it’s impractical or physically impossible to reach the next event on time by bus. Some news outlets are behaving as if my travel was a secret that they didn’t know about – despite the fact that I’ve tweeted about my flights and at least one local newspaper reported on the arrival of my flight into Rochester, NY. What’s even funnier is that these same media outlets think it’s shocking that we stay in hotels. I guess they expected us to pitch a tent alongside the road. We love the great outdoors, but such an arrangement is hardly practical for a book tour. Using common sense, it was determined that traveling by plane between some stops would save time and energy and allow me to go to more events. Economically speaking for HarperCollins, it’s more efficient to travel by charter, and I am very grateful to the publisher for providing my family and me with this incredible opportunity to shake hands with as many Americans as possible on this book tour.

If you’re scratching your head wondering why my flight and hotel logistics warrant news coverage, join the club. They can, of course, report on whatever they like, but in my opinion CBS loses whatever professional integrity it still has when it links in its report to a website devoted to the bizarre conspiracy theory that I’m not the real mother of my son Trig.

I’m truly humbled by the response to my book tour by everyday Americans, and if traveling by plane means that I can meet more of these wonderful people, I’ll travel by plane (or bus or train or canoe or dog sled or whatever it takes). Please enjoy the photos below!

- Sarah Palin"

Start of original post:

When I was nearing the end of this blog post, CNN reported that in contrast to the original statement by Harper Collins, Jason Rechter, an aide to Sarah Palin, had now admitted that Sarah Palin actually was present on five flights with the hired Gulfstream plane during the book tour (not counting the flight back to Tri-Cities for Thanksgiving, which would have been the sixth flight!).

The premise of this post was to prove that the original statement which was given by Tina Andreadis of Harper Collins was wrong – she had confirmed yesterday that Sarah used the Gulfstream plane only on three occasions during the book tour, which was a factually wrong statement.

The original statement by Harper Collins as reported by theplumline.com:

"Tina Andreadis, a spokesperson for Palin publisher HarperCollins, confirmed to me that Palin did in fact take three plane trips by privately chartered jet, flying to stops in Michigan, Rochester, NY, and Birmingham, AL."

Therefore, the post has now been overtaken by the events, but I will still publish it in order to show the exact extent of the travel. Furthermore, I still cannot understand why Harper Collins decided yesterday to release a false statement (after they first announced that they would not comment on the "logistics" of the bus tour at all!).

CNN reported today:

"An aide to Sarah Palin downplayed reports Tuesday about the former Alaska governor's use of a private jet during certain legs of a national bus tour to promote her memoir, "Going Rogue."

While it's not unusual for political figures to fly from state to state before hopping on a bus to head to events, Palin is taking heat for using a private jet for some of her travels, with one report claiming that the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee flew in style while leaving her staff behind to ride the bus during long journeys.

But Jason Recher, who is traveling with Palin and coordinating logistics for the tour, said that's not true.

Palin was joined by her family and a handful of staffers on each flight leg, said Recher, who noted that the jet was paid for by Palin's publisher, Harper Collins. He said the publisher originally wanted all of the book tour travel to be by plane, but Palin lobbied for a bus tour.

The private jet transported the Palin entourage for several legs of the tour, including from New York City to Grand Rapids, Michigan for the beginning of the tour last month. The bus then took them to book signings in Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania before the group boarded the plane to Rochester, New York. The private plane was also used for flights from Rochester to Roanoke, Virginia; from Fayetteville, North Carolina to Birmingham, Alabama; and from Birmingham to Jacksonville, Florida.

Palin also took to the skies to visit with Billy and Franklin Graham in Montreat, North Carolina on November 22, but not on Harper Collins' dime. Instead, she was picked up in Roanoke on Franklin Graham's provate plane and flown to Billy Graham's mountaintop home. That plane took Palin on to Fayetteville after the private visit.

Recher calculated that Palin and the people traveling with her spent about 24 hours total on board the "Going Rogue" bus during the first seven days of the book tour.
"

THE GENERAL PROBLEM, IN SHORT:

"The tour will last about three weeks, with a break for Thanksgiving, and will end around Dec. 10, after which the increase in holiday shoppers makes it difficult for stores to hold events, Andreadis said. Palin will travel by bus for much of the time, likely accompanied by family and by aide Meg Stapleton."

In contrast:

"(Sarah Palin's aide) Recher calculated that Palin and the people traveling with her spent about 24 hours total on board the "Going Rogue" bus during the first seven days of the book tour."

However, in seven days, according to CNN, she only spent 24 hours in the bus! The rest of the transport was done by private plane. That qualifies as a "road trip"?

Please also note that Harper Collins have still not corrected themselves about the number of the flights!

Here is my post about the facts of the book tour:

The complete flight log of the plane (click to enlarge):

FIRST FLIGHT:

November 18: Teterboro – Westchester County
Departure 8:32 AM EST
Arrival 8:45 AM EST

THE FACTS:

Sarah did an interview with Barbara Walters on November 17, 2009 in New York.

I don’t think that Sarah was on the plane when it flew from Teterboro to Westchester County on the morning of November 18. I have spoken to somebody who knows both airports and I am convinced that she boarded the plane at Westchester County airport, which is an airport which allows much greater privacy.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was not on this flight.

+++

SECOND FLIGHT:

November 18: Westchester County – Gerald Ford International, Grand Rapids, MI.
Departure 12:06 PM EST
Arrival 01:22 PM EST

THE FACTS:

Sarah Palin had a book signing in the evening of November 18 at Barnes & Nobles in Grand Rapids, MI. It is undisputed that she took her private plane to Grand Rapids.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was definitely on this flight (COUNT: SARAH FLIGHT NO 1)

+++

THIRD FLIGHT:

November 18: Gerald R. Ford International, MI – Washington County Airport PA
Departure: 3:11 PM EST
Arrival: 4:00 PM EST

THE FACTS:

Sarah Palin had no more book signings on November 18, after the one in Grand Rapids, MI. She had two books signings in Indiana on November 19. Therefore the plane just flew to Washington County airport without her in order to pick her up again on November 21.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was not on this flight.

+++

FOURTH FLIGHT:

November 21: Washington County WA – Greater Rochester International NY
Departure: 3:24 PM EST
Arrival: 3:56 PM EST

THE FACTS:

Sarah Palin had her first book signing on November 21 at 11:00 AM at the Sam's Club in Washington, PA. She then took the plane to Rochester NY, where she had another book signing at 6:00 PM. This flight is undisputed.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was definitely on this flight (COUNT: SARAH FLIGHT NO 2)

+++

FIFTH FLIGHT:

November 21: Greater Rochester International NY – Roanoke Regional VA
Departure: 9:43 PM EST
Arrival: 10:38 PM EST

THE FACTS:

On November 22, Governor Palin had an 11:00 AM book signing at the Barnes & Noble in Roanoke, VA followed by dinner with the Rev. Billy Graham later that day at his home in Montreat, NC (to which she used a plane provided by “Samaritan Purse”).

This flight was not mentioned in the “three stops” that Harper Collins had admitted. This is inexplicable. Sarah Palin herself twittered on the morning of November 21:

"Landed in VA/swung by overnight campers to say "thx & we'll see u again tmorrw!" Reminiscent of Alaskan camping trips-slash-tailgate parties"

Therefore Sarah Palin admitted herself that she was on this flight, which is entirely consistent with the flight log. The conclusion is therefore inevitable that the statement by Harper Collins as reported by Greg Sargent at theplumline.com is FALSE, because the flight to VA is omitted in the statement.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was definitely on this flight (COUNT: SARAH FLIGHT NO 3) - NOW FINALLY CONFIRMED BY CNN!

+++

SIXTH FLIGHT:

November 21: Roanoke Regional VA – Fayetteville Regional NC
Departure: 11:43 PM EST
Arrival: 12:00 PM EST

THE FACTS:

The plane flew without Sarah Palin, who had her book signing at Fort Bragg, NC, which is just next to Fayetteville Regional, NC, only on November 23 at 11:00 AM. The plane waited for Sarah at Fayetteville Regional from November 21 – November 23.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was not on this flight.

+++

SEVENTH FLIGHT:

November 23: Fayetteville Regional NC – Birmingham Shuttlesworth AL
Departure: 3:40 PM EST
Arrival: 3:47 PM CST

THE FACTS:

This trip is undisputed. Harper Collins acknowledges that she was on the plane.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was definitely on this flight (COUNT: SARAH FLIGHT NO 4)

+++

EIGHTH FLIGHT:

November 23: Birmingham Shuttlesworth AL – Jacksonville International FL
Departure: 8:12 PM CST
Arrival: 10:09 PM EST

THE FACTS:

On the day before, on November 23, she started her last book signing at the Books-A-Million store in Birmingham at 4:30 PM.

On November 24, Sarah Palin had a busy day in Florida. She had three book signings. Her first book signing was at the Books-A-Million in Jacksonville at 9:00 AM.

Again, it is inexplicable that Harper Collins has omitted this flight in their statement.

In theory it’s possible that Sarah Palin could have taken the bus from Birmingam AL to Jacksonville FL. The map shows that the journey would have taken at least 7 ½ hours, therefore it would be “do-able” over night.

However, it seems extremely unlikely that this was the case. Sarah’s plane took off about one hour after her last book-signing in Birmingham had finished – should we really believe that it went without her and that Sarah instead preferred a long bus tour overnight, which she knew would be followed the next day by a gruelling bus tour through Florida with three stops on November 24 (Jacksonville, The Villages, Orlando). I don’t think so!

As I had noted in a previous post, even C4P believed that she took the plane to Jacksonville, in their article in which they showed their outrage about this “faux scandal”.

It defies all rules of logic to believe that Sarah was not on this plane, and it’s also not consistent with the overall pattern of the flights during this book tour. The only “empty” flights up to this point were those ones where she didn’t need to be on the plane. Here, the plane took off about an hour after the book signing was finished and she needed to be in Jacksonville early the next morning. It can safely be concluded that Sarah flew to Jacksonville and spent the night from November 23 to November 24 in a hotel.

There is one extremely interesting point about this trip to Jacksonville:

On the morning of November 24, Sarah Palin had twittered that she was “on bus to Jacksonville”, therefore deliberately setting an impression that she actually travelled to Jacksonville by bus:

The fact that Harper Collins and Sarah Palin were deliberately giving a false impression about the tour, saying right from the start that it would mainly be a bus tour, when in fact it was mainly a plane tour with overnight-stays in hotels, is the reason why we felt it was necessary to expose this behaviour, which was classic Palin style – “Bible Spice” in action.

CONCLUSION:

There can be no reasonable doubt that Sarah was on the flight (COUNT: SARAH FLIGHT NO 5)NOW FINALLY CONFIRMED BY CNN!

+++

NINTH FLIGHT:

November 23: Jacksonville FL – Orlando FL
Departure: 11:01 PM EST
Arrival: 11:25 PM EST

THE FACTS:

It’s clear that this was an empty flight, and that the plane was flying to Orlando in order to pick her up on November 25.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was not on this flight.

+++

TENTH FLIGHT:

November 25: Orlando FL – Tri-Cities WA
Departure: 2:40 PM EST
Arrival: 4:47 PM PST

THE FACTS:

This flight is undisputed, as the media reported her arrival at the airport in Tri-Cities. This event started the whole “planegate” saga, as our reader “snowbilly” found the registration number of the Gulfstream plane in the flight list, and palingates afterwards discovered the complete flight-logs and broke the story, which then went viral, nationally and internationally.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was on the flight, but this flight arguably was not directly related to the book-tour, because she flew to a private gathering for Thanksgiving in Tri-Cities (where Todd was conspicuously absent, because he apparently had to “fix the roof” in icy-cold weather in Wasilla…).

Word of advice to Harper Collins:

Don't throw yourself under the bus for the Quitter Queen! As others have found out before you: Sarah Palin is just about one thing, and that is: Sarah Palin.

  4. Oh come now. This is NOT a bus tour. This is a private jet tour.

    Typical nitpicking - SkankySarah would NEVER travel on a "common bus". That's for her worshippers, the common people who offer up offerings in her name.

    For them, as a treat, she continues to "lie and make shit up".

    If only her "fans" knew how very little she thinks of them. She's sucking them dry and they don't even know it.

    If it wasn't so pathetic, it would be hilarious. If this was Old Salem, she'd would be burned at the stake for deceiving people.

  6. How is Trig traveling? Who cares for him when he is not doing his get off the faux bus prop gig?

    How is this in his best interest? Why is he not in a stable environment with his primary care giver?

    Th public was outraged when the Hennes involved children in their hoax. Why does the media ignore Trig when he is a victim of a Palin scam?

  12. The fact that Harper Collins and Sarah Palin were deliberately giving a false impression about the tour, saying right from the start that it would mainly be a bus tour..."

    Prove it, Patrick. Where did Palin say that?

    I've already proven you wrong once before on this. Remember?

    " You said that Sarah Palin lied when she said that she was on the way to Jackonsonville on her bus, when in fact she flew in the night before on her private plane. The answer of course to this lies in the tweet itself.

    "On bus to Jacksonville, FL book signing. The Southern hospitality around here is unsurpassed - thx for the encouragement!3 book events today"

    She says she is on the way "to Jacksonville, FL book signing", not on the way to "Jacksonville, FL". This is important, because "Jacksonville, FL" in this case is a noun used as an adjective, which describes the location where the book signing is taking place. The book signing itself is the destination, the object of the prepositional phrase in question. The words "Jacksonville, FL" are modifiers in the prepositional phrase. So when Governor Palin says that she is "On bus to Jacksonville, FL book signing" it means that she is headed to the book signing itself. It does not preclude here from actually being in the city of Jacksonville at the time."

    You never really had an answer for that, did you?

    This book tour has not been a diaster, or have you been unaware of the fact she has now sold a million copies of her memoir?

She can use it to divert the controversy of her dad's treasonous talk on a military base. 27. If there was no intent to deceive, why did Harper Collins lie about the number of flights?

    Why was this book tour promoted as a BUS tour through the heartland if it was not a bus tour after all? How many other Harper Collins authors have flown their families to stops on THEIR book signing tours?

  41. Palin is such a coward, hiding behind her Facebook page...........even on her "book" tour she is TERRIFIED to make a statement to the press, locally or nationally.

    Unless it's a prearranged Greta Van Susteren gushathon.

    I think she may be sorry, bringing up babygate again, since Andrew Sullivan gets allot of national attention chasing down that story.

    As a matter of fact, I think her "book" should have been called "My Waterloo", because it only serves to highlight every single controversy in her life.

    And her accusation can so easily be disproved and refuted.

    As Regan speech writer, and don't we KNOW how Palin LOVES to resurrect Regan, Peggy Noonan said:

    In television interviews she was out of her depth in a shallow pool.

    She was limited in her ability to explain and defend her positions, and sometimes in knowing them.

    She couldn't say what she read because she didn't read anything.

    She was utterly unconcerned by all this and seemed in fact rather proud of it: It was evidence of her authenticity.

    She experienced criticism as both partisan and cruel because she could see no truth in any of it.

    She wasn't thoughtful enough to know she wasn't thoughtful enough.

    Her presentation up to the end has been scattered, illogical, manipulative and self-referential to the point of self-reverence. "I'm not wired that way," "I'm not a quitter," "I'm standing up for our values." I'm, I'm, I'm.

    "The elites hate her."

    The elites made her.

    It was the elites of the party, the McCain campaign and the conservative media that picked her and pushed her.

    The base barely knew who she was.

    She is a complete elite confection.

    She might as well have been a bonbon.

    There are indications that Bristol gave birth to Trig much earlier as most people suspect, most likely in December 2007 or January 2008. Therefore, it should not confuse you when people saw Bristol non-pregnant in spring 2008.

  47. She's getting scared about babygate. Why else would she even mention this blog?

    Hey, Sarah, nobody is questioning if you are the real mom of Trig, people are questioning if you're the BIRTH mom of Trig.

    Now, put some glasses on that kid and act like the real mom you say you are.

  48. Actually the people don't get to meet her. Bree's site has video of the signing today and it is run like an assembly line. The stills they release show handshakes, etc., but that should now be considered misrepresentation. Many of the 'bots must be disappointed at being rushed through after their expectations were raised by the still pics.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I thought Karl Rove told Greta Van Sustern that Palin should talk about Iran when asked about babygate. Or maybe the other way around. Either way, from looking at the facebook entry, I have to conclude that Sarah didn't take the advice.

  51. @Jesse Cornish

It does not preclude here from actually being in the city of Jacksonville at the time."<<

    Huh?

  52. " Patrick said...
    Jesse, my special friend,

    open your eyes wide and have a look:

    "The tour will last about three weeks, with a break for Thanksgiving, and will end around Dec. 10, after which the increase in holiday shoppers makes it difficult for stores to hold events, Andreadis said. Palin will travel by bus for much of the time, likely accompanied by family and by aide Meg Stapleton."

    Harper Collins spokeswoman Tina Andreadis talks about bus tour - MSNBC

    Now look here - eyes still open?

    "(Sarah Palin's aide) Recher calculated that Palin and the people traveling with her spent about 24 hours total on board the "Going Rogue" bus during the first seven days of the book tour."

    CNN reports about facts of bus tour

    Now - you just have to concentrate really hard and imagine that Sarah Palin is in fact BARACK OBAMA!! Obama, the socialist, has lied to you! He just was on the bus for 24 hours! You have to be outraged now!"

    Patrick, you've got try harder than this! I was really counting on you to put up a good fight. Why did I get my hopes up? I mean, you're just disappointing me right now.

    I want you to take note here. I've given you a lesson on adjectives, now its onto preposition phrases. Take notice of the word "for much" here. It is a prepositional phrase used as adverb. The same is the case of the preposition phrase "of the time". both modify the verb "travel". So when you put all the words together, "travel for much of the time", it means merely that she would be using the bus most of time, but not necessarily all of it.

    CNN's 24 hours on the bus statement does not preclude her from using a plane. Nice try, though.

    When you can come out and show that Sarah Palin said she would be on a bus the whole time you'll have some credibility. Otherwise, you just a European trying to boost his blog traffic.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I wasnt talking about the spring, and it was December when she was seen at a holiday party. I dont mean to be doubtful of your investigation, but I trust my friend.

    I still do not believe that Bristol is Trigs mother.

    You will have a hard time convincing me without hard proof, as a trusted eye witness is more convincing than anything else I have seen.

    That why I am really leaning towards Willow or one of Mollys

    ReplyDelete
  54. Jesse, 24 hours is not most of 7 days. Nice try! But some of us know a little arithmetic.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I actually agree with Jesse that Sarah was being extremely careful to say that she was on her way to the signing, not to Jacksonville itself. But if she wasn't trying to hide the fact that she was flying, then why were there no tweets or facebook comments about flying, or about being on the plane, or anything like that? She and the HC handlers definitely wanted the public to THINK that SP was on the bus for a lot of the time.

    ReplyDelete
  56. And now I have to say that Jesse, can you not do math at all? Out of 7 days, 24 hours of being in the bus does not in any way count as being in the bus "for much" of the time.

    At least now I'm getting an idea of why the seeforpeers are willing to bring their younguns to stand outside in the cold for a glimpse of Sarah. They don't have, or make, much sense.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Just re-read the facebook rant. Palin clearly has connected the dots because claiming she's the mother of trig means she'll have to take RESPONSIBILITY for the risks taken in the wild ride.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    THIS is Palin's REAL problem with CBS:
    Couric: You've cited Alaska's proximity to Russia as part of your foreign policy experience. What did you mean by that?
    Sarah Palin: That Alaska has a very narrow maritime border between a foreign country, Russia, and, on our other side, the land-boundary that we have with Canada. It's funny that a comment like that was kinda made to … I don't know, you know … reporters.
    Couric: Mocked?
    Palin: Yeah, mocked, I guess that's the word, yeah.
    Couric: Well, explain to me why that enhances your foreign-policy credentials.
    Palin: Well, it certainly does, because our, our next-door neighbors are foreign countries, there in the state that I am the executive of. And there…
    Couric: Have you ever been involved in any negotiations, for example, with the Russians?
    (take a BIG breath Sarah...lol M)
    Palin: We have trade missions back and forth, we do. It's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia. As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there, they are right next to our state.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Couric: You've said, quote, "John McCain will reform the way Wall Street does business." Other than supporting stricter regulations of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac two years ago, can you give us any more example of his leading the charge for more oversight?

    Palin: I think that the example that you just cited, with his warnings two years ago about Fannie and Freddie - that, that's paramount. That's more than a heck of a lot of other senators and representatives did for us.

    Couric: But he's been in Congress for 26 years. He's been chairman of the powerful Commerce Committee. And he has almost always sided with less regulation, not more.

    Palin: He's also known as the maverick though, taking shots from his own party, and certainly taking shots from the other party. Trying to get people to understand what he's been talking about - the need to reform government.

    Couric: But can you give me any other concrete examples? Because I know you've said Barack Obama is a lot of talk and no action. Can you give me any other examples in his 26 years of John McCain truly taking a stand on this?

    Palin: I can give you examples of things that John McCain has done, that has shown his foresight, his pragmatism, and his leadership abilities. And that is what America needs today.

    Couric: I'm just going to ask you one more time - not to belabor the point. Specific examples in his 26 years of pushing for more regulation.

    Palin: I'll try to find you some and I'll bring them to you.

  61. Sarah's face book is right; she is the real mother of Trig, right now, legally, she's his mother.

    But we all want to know who conceived Trig and gave birth to him. We're mildly curious about who may have been the partner in fertilizing the egg, also, too.

    Some time ago, Sarah faced down the ADN's questions with a dare-- if they would pay the hundreds of dollars for the DNA test. It never happened.

    Let's take up a collection and take Sarah up on her offer. Just what do you think would be the results using Todd, Sarah & Trigg DNA?? Wouldn't it be a hoot?

    How to pay for the test-- it's simple. Sarah is now charging a fortune for a Photo-with-Sarah along the tour, as a fund raiser for her PAC. Pictures, all the blogs have pictures. All ya need is a pay pal button. Come on, Sarah, let's play DNA!

    THIS is Palin's REAL problem with CBS:

    Her trademark feistiness (sophomoric "insultiness"...M) is on display as she delivers a punchy sound bite about her rival, Joe Biden.

    "I'm looking forward to meeting him, too. I've never met him before. But I've been hearing about his Senate speeches since I was in, like, second grade," she said at a campaign rally.

    Couric: You have a 72-year-old running mate - is that kind of a risky thing to say, insinuating that Joe Biden's been around a while?

    Palin: Oh no, it's nothing negative at all. He's got a lot of experience and just stating the fact there, that we've been hearing his speeches for all these years. So he's got a tremendous amount of experience and, you know, I'm the new energy, the new face, the new ideas and he's got the experience.

    Couric: And when it comes to establishing your worldview, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this to stay informed and to understand the world?

    Palin: I've read most of them, again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media.

    Couric: What, specifically?

    Palin: Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me all these years.

    Couric: Can you name a few?

    Palin: I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news, too. Alaska isn't a foreign country, where it's kind of suggested, "Wow, how could you keep in touch with what the rest of Washington, D.C., may be thinking when you live up there in Alaska?" Believe me, Alaska is like a microcosm of America.

  69. "Conjunctation?" Is that a word in any place other than one of Sarah's word salads?

    ReplyDelete
  70. As an English teacher, I really don't have time to correct all of the bad grammar in the world. But, I do have to mark someone's paper incorrect regarding prepositional phrases. (The correct term is prepositional, not proposition phrase).

    The correct way to diagram that phrase is that "for much" modifies the word "travel."

    The prepositional phrase "of the time" only modifies "much" as in how much. It cannot modify the word "travel" because it would make no sense to write "travel of the time."

    Sorry, but you will have to repeat the class on prepositional phrases. I missed your lesson on adjectives, but I might suggest some that apply here: sloppy, poorly written, misguided, inaccurate. Class dismissed.

  77. Even though it's absolutely confirmed that Palin flew from Birmingham to Jacksonville, I should have noticed the itinerary to begin with.

    The space between Birmingham and Jacksonville are my stomping grounds. No way that bus could have made it in that amount of time.

    I don't even think there was marked bus that taveled in between the two towns. I have a theory on that.

    I have a feeling that Patrick is not familiar with the geography of Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. Not in the areas the bus would have traveled anyway.

    There are only a few ways to get from Birmingham to Jacksonville.

    (1) Take the interstate from Birmingham down to I-10 and go east to Jacksonville.

    (2) Take I-85 to I-75 in Atlanta and keep going south until I-75 meets I-10.

    Option 1 and option 2 are roundabouts.

    There is another way, option 3. Take Alabama highway # whatever it is to Columbus, GA. From Columbus, drive south and meet US 82 in the tiny settlements of Georgetown, Cuthbert, or Dawson.

    Continue east on US 82 until you get to Waycross, GA. In Waycross, go south on US 1, which goes to Jacksonville, FL.

    There is no possible way on any of these routes a bus could have made it from Birmingham to Jacksonville.

    Mainly because there isn't a direct route. The Okefenokee Swamp is right in the middle of the fastest way and there aren't any roads that go through it.

    From my hometown in lower middle south Georgia (close to Valdosta), it takes 2.5 to 3 hours to get to Jacksonville. It takes around 4-5 hours from the same town to get to Montgomery, AL, which is south of Birmingham.

    Also add in that the bus was apparently not spotted on routes that were high in traffic (interstates) or heavy in gawkers (backroads on US 82) who would have called up the two news channels serving southwest Georgia (WALB and WFXL).

    And a final thought, no one says anything here that isn't said in mainstream America. Real America, if you will.

    Just spent the weekend with my friends who work at a southern army base. The subject of Sarah Palin came up and she was the laughing stock of everyone.

    Had other friends up from Florida --same thing.

  86. Not only did Tina Andreadis say that Palin will "travel by bus for much of the time", Palin herself gives the impression that the trip would be a ROAD TRIP. Her Facebook note specifically calls the trip a "Road Trip", and in concluding she says she "Can't wait to hit the road!". Now I don't know about elitist trolls, but when "average Americans" talk about "road trip", they mean just that, a trip on ROADS! How hard is that to understand? Now she wants to weasel out of it.

    And the news that Palin "lobbied for the bus trip" only makes it worse, not better. It means she wanted the fakery, wanted to appear to travel in a campaign bus except THIS time it would have HER picture on it. What other author does a faux bus trip with their giant mug plastered on it, while covering the majority of the miles flying by Gulfstream? This is all a big salve to Sarah's ego. Seriously, what other book tour has anybody ever heard of that was conducted this way? And that includes the family posse, who has seen that before?

    CNN mentions "While it's not unusual for political figures to fly from state to state before hopping on a bus to head to events...", but that's just the point! This is supposedly NOT a campaign, and the bots are now making a big deal about how Sarah is a private citizen, not a politician. Why use a "vanity bus" for a book tour except to use to campaign at the expense of Harper Collins, while feeding Sarah's already giant ego. (Well, actually the bots say $P is a private citizen while at the same time comparing $P to President Obama travelling on Air Force One. Sorry to break it to you over there at the Ocean of Pee, but Sarah's side lost BIG TIME, and what she does has nothing to do with the President of the United States, you C4P sore losers)

    Sarah's ROAD trip announcement:

    Road Trip! Book Tour Announcement
    Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 4:40pm
    I am very, very excited about the upcoming road trip for my book. It will be an honor to meet as many of you as possible!

    “Going Rogue” publisher HarperCollins is working hard to schedule book signings across the nation, and we’ll be announcing the locations in the next day or two. I’ve decided to travel to cities outside of the typical book tour venues, and I hope to cover as much of the country as I can.

    We’re in the process of arranging interviews with local and national media. An interview with Oprah Winfrey is already scheduled, and I’m also hoping to have the opportunity to talk with Bill O’Reilly, Barbara Walters, Sean Hannity, Greta Van Susteren, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Dennis Miller, Tammy Bruce, and others, including local Alaska personalities Bob & Mark and Eddie Burke. (Variety is the spice of life!)

    Can’t wait to hit the road. Can’t wait to see you!

  87. Patrick and Regina,

    May I make a suggestion? Start a Facebook Page called Palingates. I know Regina is on facebook as Regina Palingates, but you need a page. Pages show up more often in those 'ad' type things that show up on the right hand side of your homepage at FB. You can also spend a few bucks (which you know we'd help contribute to) to actually advertise using the page.

    Takes about 5 mins to set up. I think Bree Palin, Immoral Minority, Mudflats, Celtic Diva's Blue Oasis, etc. also need pages rather than just individual accounts.

    Right now the only folks that see Regina Palingates on FB are 'friends'. With a page anyone can be a fan and anyone can join that page and follow the info on it.

    Just my two cents for getting your message out on an even larger scale.

  102. Just thought I would mention that it is also interesting that Palin made sure to be riding the bus for the only two "on the road" interviews I have so far seen, one with an Alaskan TV station and the other one with Greta Van Susteren. Why not have any interviews when she was flying on the Gulfstream? Just an observation.

    Oh, and to those new to this blog, that comment at 01:21 is the sort of thing you find that Palin's fans will say to justify themselves. And that same classy individual making such a remark will probably whine about the sexism of that ridiculous photo that Palin posed for that ended up on the cover of Newsweek.

    01:21, take a look at the women (and men) in the lines to go see Palin for the book signing. Are those the sexy conservatives who are "getting some"? Glass houses and all that? Those lovestruck Palinbots who don't want to have to take medications that would interfere with their use of Viagra are advised to leave this site if it is causing high blood pressure or chest pain.

  105. I'm an American and a frequent business traveler. When a co-worker says "I'll be on the road, next week" it means there'll be a series of customer calls in a series of cities probably involving much air travel. "On the road" may just be an Americanism in that case.

    I'd be interested to hear if other commenters think that's a regional or local usage.

  110. Patrick, great job! This is so important. Thank you for all you have done. Thanks, Regina!

    ReplyDelete
  111. "on the road" isn't the same phrase as "road trip".

    "on the road" means away from home. "road trip" is very American and means a trip via road. that would imply wheels on road. Not wings in air, in which case, one would say,
    "I'm jettin' to -- tomorrow" or "I'm flying all over the country to meet y'all! Can't wait!"

    I have never heard anyone say "road trip" and mean private jet. And I have traveled by private jet on four occasions, with one very famous movie star. I can assure you that she wasn't telling people she was on a "road trip". We went to two locations and then she took another private jet home for the holidays while we flew back to LA.

    I didn't tell anyone I was on a "road trip". Nor would I have, even if we were going to 6 locations. IT's called a jaunt. Or, "we're going to--, and then to__."

    I think this silly parsing of language for a known and proven liar is absurd. Clearly she was trying to mislead people and clearly she imagines she is on a campaign tour, where she is the top of the ticket. And clearly, from her stage today and other things like the "turkey pardoning" and referral to her family as the "first family", she thinks she's the President.

    She's delusional.Or, in truth, she's a jealous narcissist who can't stand seeing anyone else achieve what she feels only she is entitled to.

  113. You know if we were Sarah supporters we would claim the more out there comments came from "trolls who have infiltrated the site".

    I know why she wanted to pretend she was on a bus tour!!! She knows it brought John McCain back from oblivion. He spent a lot of time riding the bus and talking with citizens and jounalists,it made it possible for him to win the nomination of the GOP.
    Sarah being Sarah,of course,wanted to copy the winning strategy,but did not want to actually have to ride that bus and deal with the grit and grime of travel.She was positive she could pull the wool over the eyes of her supporters once again.

    She was right about them. But she failed to take into account all of the people who are determined the truth about her come out.

  117. Gee, I've been on this blog for a year now and never seen comments like I have tonight with vulgarities and rants about vaginas.

    Palin trolls, you are so demented. I can guarantee that if you go to any blog where someone says anything critical of Palin, you will see these screaming ninnies, swearing at people (in the name of their Lord and Savior, Sarah Palin) and insulting people right off the bat. The juvenile tone is recognizable right away.

    Don't forget that there is now a company run by a right winger who pays people to post on blogs and defend them or "get their message out". The politician pays this guy and he pays his bloggers. They don't disclose this, so again, more dishonesty from the "freedom" screamers.

    if you had the stomach to dissect their psyches and the many contradictions in their "value" system, you would see they stand for Second Coming. They do not align themselves with the teachings of Christ, as Christ was a pacifist and that's for liberals and "ditherers". Nope. These are prayer warriors who worshiped cardboard cut outs of Bush and now Palin. Worshiping false idols. Holy War. God as weapon.

    Ring any bells?

    ReplyDelete

  127. Isn't it funny how this supposed "non-issue" brings the trolls running to the one place they can post freely (unlike the strict authoritarian places they usually hang out at where it's tightly regulated what can and can't be said), not to mention that this "non-issue" causes them to write post after post claiming what a "non issue" this is, and Sarah has someone write up a Facebook rant about this "non-issue".

    Like I said, her minions will bend over backwards, actually they will become contortionists in order to try and explain away things that they are terrified will make the Bitter Quitter look bad!

  130. WOw. the love obsessed Palinbots think we care about Sarah's private parts?

    LOL. We aren't the ones who call her hot and use her for conservative porn -- but I understand the need for projection when you're uncomfortable with the lustful stirrings in your loins.

    As for me, I used to be a model -- I don't bring this up usually because it's not relevant, but since the trolls keep saying we're jealous, I have to take a trip into shallow land in order to make it clear to them that they don't understand our value system.

    I'm told I'm beautiful, and all of my girl friends are gorgeous, smart women with incredible careers and/or great moms. They're also just nice people, which is part of what I look for in a person (good sense of humor, kindness, generosity and integrity).

    I'm not jealous of Sarah Palin. I don't like the way she's abused her power and doesn't understand the most basic things about our constitution.

    She's not fit for office, she's a scourge on the country.

    My husband can't STAND her and no, he doesn't find her attractive -- but then, he's always dated smart women with kind hearts, so that rules her out.

    What's the next line of attack?

    Oh, and I'm petite, also, too and I can assure you that never have I seen a pregnancy disappear on a petite woman as it has on Sarah.

  132. You see, the problem with you guys is that I don't let you get away with your straw men. You not-so-subtly attack a highly exaggerated position or claim a person purportedly made (but actually didn't), so you can tear it down easily.

    Fact: Sarah Palin never said this was going to solely be a bus tour, but it was claimed to be a book tour. Fact: She took a plane where it would be impractical to take a bus, that way she could reach more cities. Fact: She travelled 24 hours during the first week alone, which would consist of "much of the travel time". Fact: Patrick is a lying European who would be saying 'Guten Tag!' if it wasn't for the sacrifice of the U.S. soldiers.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Another point about why people thought she was on just a "bus" tour is that Greta of Fox interviewed her on a bus, while it was seemingly moving, and Greta never asked her about flights, or hotels, nothing.

    I believe Greta's avoidance of the subject isn't coincidental. Why didn't she meet Sarah at an airport? Why do an interview on a bus?

    ReplyDelete
  134. bus tour = G II + bus. no worries. except for a nearly naked baby in 35 degree temps, an 8 year old signing autographs and missing skool, and an old grumpy douchebag dissing the POTUS on a military base. All good!

  136. It's Sarah's supporters who are "dehumanizing" her. We know all too well just how human Sarah is. Our eyes are open. And I'm so glad to see that every day, more and more people are getting to know how devious and conniving she really is.

Over and Over and Over. it wasn't sarahs fault EVER!!!

  142. Sometimes, it is important to understand the correct rules of grammar. I have been researching a silly phrase having to do with Sarah going to the Jacksonville book signing. You see, she was not going to Jacksonville, that was just an adjective describing where she was going.

    There is just this small little problem. Adverbs are the part of speech which tell us how, what, where and/or in what manner. Jacksonville is not an adjective. It is a proper noun used as an adverb to tell us where.

    Adjectives tell us size, age, shape, color, origin, material, purpose for example. The book signing could be crowded, noisy, large, well-mannered. Jacksonville describes WHERE it takes place, adverb.

    WV=ressor, you may all go out and play at recess if you got your grammar lesson finished correctly. If not, you will have to stay after school.

  149. Why didn't Sarah just step up to the plate and tell the publisher to take that jet and shove it? She went back to her consignment shop clothes during the VP race, didn't she?

    ReplyDelete
  150. I don't think Sarah would care why anyone was in line. It's not like she spent the time after the election educating herself about politics or international issues or anything like that. She's fine with having people stand in line because of what she thinks is her "personality" or "great looks."

    She could fly in a corporate jet forever and I wouldn't care, if I could only see Trig wearing his glasses and hearing aids and looking as if someone is doing some kind of therapy with him. It's so important that it be done early, and I just don't see any indication that that's happening. And that might be the worst crime Sarah Palin has committed.

  159. This blog is attracting lots of new attention. You can always tell when Palingates hits a nerve by the number of people who have to say something nasty, even if it is totally off the subject.

    I'll tell you what's nasty. Sarah represented herself as an ordinary hockey mom who shopped at resale shops and was just like us folks out there in the real America. She promised to blog from the bus as she crossed our fair land.

    The problem is that we all saw that the bus could not meet the schedule; of course there would be a plane. But, HC's lame statement that there were only 3 flights really isn't true. In addition to Franklin Graham's plane, there is proof of more flights.

    Then we have just-one-of-us-Sarah charging for photos, her photographer only, outrageous prices. And, we have the shameless treatment of Trig, being dragged around half the time without shoes and socks, no jacket in cold weather. He is used as a prop for the Right to Life Crowd. Keeping Piper out of school shows Sarah's lack of regard for education. And, this is just the beginning.

    Her book is filled with lies, untruths, exaggerations, and more of the same. Quotes are used in an inappropriate way. To fact check the book requires another book just to catalog all of Sarah's misrepresentations.

    Let's get one thing clear about that big bus. It is a rolling bill board. It can be used to shuttle the Palin Parade from aircraft to bookstore, and it is big enough to cause alot of attention. It is also an advertisement for SarahPAC.

    When you realize that this is why Sarah Palin quit her job as governor, it makes the money-grubbing SaraPAC-fundraiser book-and-campaign-tour all the more laughable. All that Sarah needs is to back into a fire hydrant, have someone rescue her by breaking a window with a golf club, and call the tabloid TV people and her tour will be complete.

    And, please, Sea-of-Pee'ers, Stop calling that woman Governor Palin. She isn't the governor of anything. She Quit!

    Sarah Palin is nothing but a reality TV-show politician. If they made an "Ex-Governors Gone Wild" video, she'd be the first to sign up, and then try to throw all the others off the island before her water broke again.

    She has lived in her alternate reality for way too long--she's starting to believe her own made-up fantasy world actually exists.

    The woman is obviously mentally impaired. It's a good day if two brain cells accidentally bump into each other while rattling around up there in the mire of mental illness, Red Bull, and whatever happens to be the psychotropic drug of the day.

    The very idea that she's dragging a special needs child around the country in this self-glorifying freak show is just criminal. She ought to have that Lee Press On Hair snatched off her head & be flogged with it. And that precious baby should be at home with his mother.

    She's afraid to go anywhere (on or off the bus) where there might be a population center in which someone might have actually read Plato or Aristotle or John Wooden Legs. She's got to slink thru the sheet-covered "real" parts of America that hold her same truths to be self evident. I think the book tour should come with a banjo soundtrack, and be re-named "Deliverance."

    She is as transparent as saran wrap, and as deep as a petri dish. And we should all be mortified that someone with the intellectual capacity of a shoelace was put before us as a serious national political candidate. John McCain only showed us the depths of his desperation when he presented the equivalent of a doorknob as his running mate. The very idea.

    If someone doesn't come forward and say what he knows--the info that will not just bring her down, but dig the grave of her "political career," than we can all look forward to another 4? 6? 8? years of her babbling, made-up, sewage coated rhetoric that does nothing but divide people, incite hatred and violence, and polarize the entire country.

    Leaders lead by bringing people together and moving toward mutually beneficial purposes.

    Self-inflated idealogues get on private planes and pretend to be on bus tours thru KKK country.

  174. Jesse: Fact: Patrick is a lying European who would be saying 'Guten Tag!' if it wasn't for the sacrifice of the U.S. soldiers.
    Whoa! (why do I waste my breath): so we are cheese-eating surrender monkeys? So?
    So, we would be licking Adolf's boots if it weren't for the likes of Ms Palin and her heroic sacrifices on the Western Front?

    I am so grateful. Dude, you nearly saved me from a nasty mistake. For a moment I thought we were at risk from a lying megalomaniac...

    (Wait, I don't want to prove Godwin's law.)

  175. Stop talking to Jesse. It's obvious he's works for that woman. Probably that guy we see handing her the books in all the new 'for a fee' pictures of her with her 'supporters'.

    And I'm really starting to believe two different theories. Meg and/or Sarah let me know which is correct.

    Her sis Molly and Todd had a fling because Molly is/was always the backup Mother. It's in print and in the video she provided for Oprah she says Molly came and helped Todd a lot when she was away from home.

    If not that then Track got one of his own relatives or a very young girl with very angry parents pregnant.

    What do we know about cousins to the Palin kids and their ages?
    Doesn't necessarily have to be a sibling, could be another extended family member.

    What about Sarah's neices? Todd's neices?

    Seems to fit with the fact that without a few pics Track is an enigma in the lower 48. We know he's home, Joe McGinnis said when he was in Alaska recently researching for his book on Sarah that he stopped by to drop off a book he wrote in the 70's about time in Alaska. He said Track answered the door and they spoke briefly.

  176. Those photos of "pregnant" Sarah next to actual pregnant women at the same stage of pregnancy are so powerful.
    You'd have to be either an idiot or completely blind to see Palin was not pregnant.

    Brilliant. I hope you have a blog where you write -- this was both hysterical and balls on analysis.

    Jesse is not from the South, though many southerns flocked to his corner of the world during the depression and created a mini-south in the cold midwestern state where he hails from.

    Close enough to where the OK bomber lived- libertarians and kkk members and Baptist churches abound.

    We're not allowed to out other posters, so I won't name the city or state. Suffice it to say, we don't hunt down those with opposing views and terrorize them as the C4Pers do to us.

    We're better than that.

  178. Jesse C- you ignored my question-What sacrifice has Sarah made as a mother? I realy would like to hear your thoughts. Or are you only here to disrupt the conversation? If so, then STFU!!

  179. Oddly enough Jesse is now trying to change his track on the "europeans" issue.

    On Texas4Palins he writes:
    Jesse Cornish said...

    ......
    I know the two people running that site are not Americans, but are Europeans with no vested interest in our politics. I asked them to back up their lies and they couldn't. I also have good reason to believe that someone in Alaskan politics may be feeding this blog information, though I can be sure about it.

    ......

    November 30, 2009 4:59 PM

    But now, here, he is claiming that is it isn't that Patrick and Regina are "europeans", but the fact that they aren't advertising it enough for him.

    Odd isn't it, that elsewhere he isn't pointing out that they are "closet europeans", but it is the fact that they are "europeans who don't have a vested interest in our politics", and yet I have never seen him or anyone else make that claim towards the writers at C4P who are "europeans". Should they be allowed to write and contribute on C4P in defense of Palin when they obviously have no vested interest in our politics? Or is it only those who worship at the alter of Sarah Palin be allowed to voice an opinion?

    Hypocrisy Much?

  180. Track is definitely home. According to court view he got a speeding ticket on Oct. 2nd, which is interesting since his unit wasn't welcomed back until Oct. 8th

    ReplyDelete
  181. It's so funny he says this site won't back up it's 'lies'. For crying out loud Jesse they provide you travel documents, e-mails, photos and several other documents.

    All the claims here are backed up and backed up and backed up with fact.

    Whole reason Jesse and St. Sarah's defenders feel the need to come here, because here is where the proof is.

    It will all come out in the end and they will have nothing to show for the money they've spent and Sarah will be living high on the hog in her big house, Todd in the one the C4P's are helping to build right now(the one they're funding) and Bristol can live in the 3rd house they're renting.

    Three houses side by side to keep up the illusion of one big happy family.

    NOT!!

    ReplyDelete
  182. Wow anonymous 04:02 interesting he's ticketed before he's back? Why the secrecy around Track if there is nothing to hide?

    No wonder she needs the money so bad. She's got so many people to support that have to stay out of sight and hidden so they can't get real jobs.

    ReplyDelete
  183. No offence, but really this Jesse Cornish individual shouldn't be the focus, nor should his/her comments elsewhere matter one hoot to the people here. Am I correct, Patrick, that you'd prefer we ignore him/her/it? First-time visitors to this blog are going to get the wrong impression about the threads here...this Jesse person only appeared quite recently, as in the past 48 hours, at least that I'm aware of. Maybe you all know of this Jesse Cornish, but why is anyone bothering to debate with such a hopeless case? Ignore him/her/it. We should make a pact, and stick to it. Keep the thoughtful comments going, instead.

    ReplyDelete
  184. As for Europeans having no vested interest in our politics -- are you insane?

    You do realize that our wars and war-mongering Republicans made life different for them?

    Have you ever been to Europe, Jesse?

    OF course not. No Palinbots believe in a world outside of "real America".

    What a bunch of provincial nut jobs.

    Oh, and Jesse, I'm from where you live.

    Luckily, the state went blue in 08.

    ReplyDelete
  185. It suddenly occurred to me why the Palinbots are always accusing us of being "jealous" of Crackpot Sarah: it's a classic case of projection. THEY are jealous of Obama--his intelligence, his education, his erudition, his eloquence, his success, his beautiful, intelligent, successful wife, his loving, happy daughters. He has succeeded beyond their own wildest dreams, despite the fact that they're white and are supposed to be the rulers of the universe while he is a--horror of all horrors--black man.

    In fact, no one is more jealous of President Obama than Sarah herself. She spent months fantasizing about the day McCain would fall over dead and leave her as POTUS; instead, That Black Man got the "title" God promised her. She's spent the past year being eaten alive by jealousy, and as her Bots are always telling us, she's just like them.

    ReplyDelete
  186. Ignore them. Please. Now. Good, where were we?

    ReplyDelete
  187. Where's Todd?

    And when was the last time Ms. Palin actually laid eyes on him?

    ReplyDelete
  188. They have sent that Jesse Cornish here to provoke everyone, don't you all realize that? They're hoping we'll stoop to the lowest possible level in our responses, thinking it will then reflect poorly on the blog as a whole. Don't let them get away with that, good people. I have never seen a thread here deteriorate the way this one has, ever! Ignore Jesse Cornish and any commenters like him. (Not to be too paranoid, but those debating with Jesse Cornish might also be sent here by Palin's people ;-).

  189. Midnight Cajun,
    I think you're right. President Obama's beautiful family radiates love and genuine closeness. He has every good quality she lacks; genuinely thoughtful; genuinely intelligent; genuinely interested in the good of our country; genuinely concerned for troops and citizens; genuinely athletic; genuinely a writer; actually honest!
    Remember when she wanted to challenge him to a race? She's obsessed with him. I kept thinking of that after learning she'd quit the 5 K Turkey Trot, 40 minutes after it started.
    He gets mud slung at him, and he just brushes it off. She gets called on her lies and freaks out and goes on vendettas.

    Shirtless, tanned, and holding a baby.......

  191. I have mixed emotions about Jesse. He does make things fun because he is so easy to contradict and he is so persistent.

    He has quite a bit of intelligence but not enough experience to understand his limitations. He must have a very strong ego to be able to take the blows we keep giving him.

    It is interesting that he is barely tolerated on the sea of urine site. It's as if they hold their hand on his forehead while he punches the breeze.

    He has an extremely strong ability to deny the reality in front of him. He's presented with evidence, and rather than assimilate it, he ignores it and comes back with his same argument that was just refuted and pretends it wasn't refuted. Maybe he's not pretending; maybe he's just dense. I don't see it as a mark of intelligence, more of emotional deficiency.
    He does have his merits as entertainment, and his description of "tangling" with us is pretty hilarious.
    I haven't been to the Sea of Urine; what is their beef with him? He seems unusually devoted to Quit-Governing Palin. I should think he'd be appreciated.
