Sarah Palin, you'd better go MIA and save face... your opportunism is a distraction

This woman is a piece of work. The guy said it all: Sarah Palin is going to their rally because she knows there will be half a million people there.

Sarah, read his lips: "You're NOT invited."

Sarah Palin's One Nation

Sarah Palin - Pauline Hanson

I urge you to read this post on Oz Mudflats. It tells the story of another woman who wrapped herself in the flag and used the slogan "One Nation."

Pauline Hanson is an earlier version of Sarah Palin and she wrote a book also, too.

As we can see, Sarah Palin is not terribly original:

The similarities are uncanny. The ideology behind both women is frightening and their rhetoric disgusting. Neither of them knows the meaning of the word "shame."

Pauline Hanson served some time in jail for fraud. I fervently hope Sarah Palin copies that as well...

Mrsgunka sent me this video. It has the best of both worlds: A tot and a dog... Enjoy!

Thank you for keeping us amused and sane, Mrsgunka.

Sarah Palin going on another bus tour

This lovely picture comes from Lallalori's Flickr collection

Sarah Palin is on the bus again, according to RealClearPolitics:

In a move designed to propel her closer to a presidential run, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will set out on a bus tour of the country on Sunday, making stops at symbolic sites along the way.

"Starting this weekend, Sarah Palin will embark on a ‘One Nation' tour of historical sites that were key to the formation, survival, and growth of the United States of America," SarahPAC treasurer Tim Crawford said in a statement to RealClearPolitics. "The tour will originate in Washington, D.C. It will proceed north up the east coast."

Members of Palin's immediate family are expected to join her on the trip, which will eventually take her through key early-voting states.

Well, well... a film and another bus tour.

The snippet shown on Hannity was very boring, was that the best clip he could get? Sarah Palin's Alaska was far more entertaining.

I wonder which members of the family will tour with Sarah this time. I also wonder if they'll travel on the bus while she jets to the next destination. Here's the real bus:

I'm trying to take this seriously, but it sounds like the circus coming to town, I can't help myself. I wish she would announce or get out of the bush, this whole cat-and-mouse game is getting very tedious.

Come on Sarah, isn't that fire in your belly raging by now? Or are you waiting for your friend God to crack the door open just a little bit so you can plow through it?

Sarah Palin's Wonderland

My husband came across an article that reminded him of the difference between Sarah Palin and other parents of children with special needs.

Where EVERYONE can play: Father builds theme park for special needs children... and names it after his own precious daughter

It's the theme park with a difference. Queues are deliberately kept short, attendance is restricted so there's not too much noise and it there's no gaudy advertising promising thrills and adventure.

Yet Morgan's Wonderland in Texas has proven a huge hit since it opened last year, attracting just the right number of visitors from 16 countries across the globe and from every American state except one.

The difference? Morgan's Wonderland is aimed squarely at children with disabilities, even if three out of every four of the people who pass through its gates are able bodied.

I did a bit of googling and found out a bit more about Gordon Hartman, the man who created the park, which, by the way, doesn't charge admission to individuals with special needs.

The Gordon Hartman Family Foundation was founded by Gordon and Maggie Hartman on September 27, 2005 to allow them to pursue their dream of helping children and adults who deal with the daily obstacles of cognitive and physical special needs. The Foundation’s initial funding of $10,000,000 came from a contribution from Gordon Hartman.

Gordon and Maggie’s decision to give their time and resources to this specific cause is inspired by their love for their daughter, Morgan, who copes daily with cognitive and physical challenges.

The Hartmans realized that they were blessed to be able to provide for Morgan’s needs in ways that many families could not. Therefore, they resolved to find creative ways to provide positive opportunities for individuals with special needs and their families.

Our Mission

The Gordon Hartman Family Foundation is dedicated to transforming the lives of our friends with special needs. We invest our financial support, our time and ourselves into organizations that serve individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities.

“Philanthropy is much more than just investing your money in a cause... it is about investing yourself daily in the lives of others.”

--Gordon V. Hartman

Morgan's Wonderland started with an investment of $10 million.

I'm sure Sarah Palin has that amount to invest in a similar project, but I very much doubt we're going to see a Trig's Wonderland either in Alaska or Arizona...

Sarah Palin doesn't invest anything in any cause for special needs. All she does is talk about what a remarkable woman she is because she didn't abort her precious gift from God.

That's not philanthropy, it's opportunism.
