Palinbots on the attack again

Film critic and journalist Anthony Kaufman interviewed the director of The Undefeated for the Wall Street Journal (a Murdoch publication) and dared to ask a few questions. Kaufman was mercilessly attacked by C4P, where, once again, they resorted to sarcastic personal remarks and flimsy evidence to make their points. The title of their post: If Ignorance Is Bliss, Anthony Kaufman Must Be Pretty Happy! [I won't link to C4P]

Anthony wrote to me, puzzled by the very aggressive reactions from the palinbots, both in the post on C4P and in the comments on his own posts. I suspect he also received a few nasty e-mails. Anthony wrote: "I recently wrote some critical pieces about her new film The Undefeated for the Wall Street Journal's website and my own blog. I shouldn't be surprised that they've gone after me, but their attacks are personal, insulting and totally manipulative of the facts."

Stephen K Bannon

One of the questions Kaufman asked Bannon was about the MatMaid dairy, which I think was very mild, considering what we know about it.

Kauffman - I realize you need to make choices as a documentary filmmaker. But I also wanted to ask you about the MatMaid dairy privatization, which is used in the film to show how she turned around the state. But there’s some crucial information left out. Like she initially wanted it to stay open, and gave it $600,000 to keep it open. That seemed a little misleading.

Bannon - We use MatMaid as an example of one of the state-funded entries that went to the private sector. Initially, she made an initial attempt to make a go of it, because there were people that depended on it for the jobs. But she determined that she needed to have a private equity solution. I’m not trying to make the point that she’s perfect.

C4P fudged the subject and offered an e-mail from Sarah Palin as evidence that she did want to close the state dairy:
Dairy farmers were told their last day to deliver milk is June 27th. The state just broke its word again if we were to roll over for the board ‘ s ridiculous vote to shut it down without proper notice…Farmers will be dumping their milk in the parking lot of DNR if we don’t step in and show the leadership they’re craving and deserving.
We need to regroup and get good business minds in there to figure out close – out plan in next yr or so, or re -vitalization plan for Ag.
The issue is not whether Sarah Palin wanted to put the dairy in the private sector, but how she went about it, how she enabled a bunch of her Valley cronies to take over the Board of Agriculture and used state money (considerably more than $600,000) to prop the failing business. The state continued to pour money into it and the incompetent new CEO also secured federal funds, even though she had a history of defaulting on loans.

Dairygate is a tale of cronyism and fraud. Of course Bannon wouldn't explore it in any depth, and neither will her palinbots at C4P.

Can you imagine if Kaufman had asked a trickier question about the dairy? I don't think Bannon would have been able to answer it, as his version of Sarah Palin doesn't involve any proper research and doesn't deal in facts, only fantasies. And the palinbots would have gone into a real frenzy!

The upside is that a journalist, writing for the WSJ, can see that Sarah Palin is a myth: "I hope you can appreciate the situation we can find ourselves in when we try to get to the bottom of Sarah Palin and the myths she and her comrades try to perpetuate."

These tactics of attacking what they call the "lamestream media" is bound to backfire. More and more journalists may get fed up with the personal attacks and start digging a bit deeper, exposing Sarah Palin for what she really is, a phony and a fraud.

That should keep the dwindling number of palinbots very busy indeed...

Sarah Palin, the amazing CEO, is shallow, immature and vulgar

A recently acquired troll thinks Sarah Palin's e-mails show her in a positive light. He borrowed Larry Hagman's name and I think the real Larry would not be amused. He is a liberal and would never show any admiration for Sarah Palin.

The e-mails show very little evidence of governing by the amazing CEO, but show instead an immature woman who writes like a teenager:

Sarah Palin likes to show what a good Christian she is:

As a good champion for special needs, her choice of words couldn't be better:

Would she have affectionate nicknames for foreign leaders if she ever makes it to the White House? Sarah Palin referred to Jay Ramras in language very becoming of a lady:

One of the palibots' main arguments for liking Sarah Palin so much is that she's one of them. I agree. Sarah Palin is inarticulate, shallow, ignorant and vulgar. Just like her stupid followers.

Sarah Palin's fans threaten and try to intimidate Senator Leland Yee - Screenshot of threatening fax and audio of phone call - NSFW!

This is an ugly post. However, this is not our fault. California State Senator Leland Yee, as has been reported on Palingates, took a stand against CSU Stanislaus. He condemned their actions, especially the fact that CSU Stanislaus tried to destroy their contract with Sarah Palin and lied about the existence of the contract documents.

As was to be expected, this angered Sarah Palin's fans, who just as her idol cannot deal with any kind of criticism of her whatsover.

Sarah Palin's "hardcore" supporters are less and less afraid to show their true colors.

Senator Lee today published the following press release:

CSU Palin Controversy Incites Hate Messages
Tuesday, April 20, 2010

Yee threatened with racist, homophobic phone calls and faxes

SACRAMENTO – The controversy surrounding an upcoming Sarah Palin event at California State University Stanislaus and calls for greater transparency from Senator Leland Yee (D-San Francisco) has spurred several racist and homophobic phone calls to Yee’s office and even a fax threatening the Senator’s life.

An expletive-laden fax received yesterday in the Senator’s San Francisco and Sacramento offices says, “To: JoBama Rectum Sniffer Fish Head Leland Yee” and then in all capital letters, “WERE YOU TO EXTRACT YOUR HEAD FROM TREASONOUS MARXIST NIG**R HUSSEIN OBAMA’S RECTUM, YOUR BRAIN WOULD STILL FUNCTION AT ITS PRESENT MUCH DIMINISHED LEVEL BUT AT LEAST THE NIG**R SH*T SMELL WOULD EVENTUALLY DISSIPATE.”

The fax, which included a graphic of an American flag adorned pickup truck dragging a noose, also states “FIGHTING The Marxist Nig**r Thug Hussein Obama” and “Safeguard the Constitution, Death of all Domestic Marxists!”

Another fax received by the Senator’s office with a similar graphic says, “NEW WEBSITE COMING SOON: lyeesucksobamasnig**ras*.com,” as well as “JoBama. HE IS BRAVE ENOUGH TO KILL OUR UNBORN, JUST NOT BRAVE ENOUGH TO CALL OUR ENEMIES WHAT THEY ARE: Muslim Terrorists!” The fax also includes a rifle scope targeting a shirt with the communist hammer and sickle symbol.

One of the phone messages left after hours in Yee’s office voicemail says, “You know, I heard that Senator Yee wants to nix Sarah Palin from speaking at Stanislaus State…Maybe we ought to have a homosexual with a long enough di*k to where he can stick it up his as* and fu*k himself while he is on stage giving a speech. That would be acceptable to Leland Yee. So, good thing you run in San Francisco ‘cause you’d never make it anywhere else.”

These and other messages have been forward to the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms to investigate.

“It is quite disturbing that such racist and homophobic sentiment still exists in our country,” said Yee. “It is unfortunate acts like these that demonstrate why we must continue to be vigilant against hate and intolerance.”

The hate messages come after Yee has demanded greater transparency of the CSU Stanislaus administration regarding an upcoming visit from the former Alaska governor. After the university claimed they had no documents or correspondence pertaining to the Palin visit, students testified that they found pages 4 through 9 of the Palin contract in the administration’s dumpster, which show her visit requirements include a hotel suite, first class airfare or a private Lear jet, pre-screened questions, and “bendable straws.”

The Attorney General has since launched a formal investigation and Californians Aware has filed a lawsuit.

+++

However, that was not enough for Palingates. I strongly believe that the ORIGINAL documentation always provides the most accurate and chilling view on events. So today I contacted the office of Senator Yee. When I mentioned during the phone conversation that our blog deals with all the scandals regarding Sarah Palin, the immediate response was: "You must be very busy then." I had to agree, of course - we all know how true that is.

As a result of my call I received a copy of some of the original threatening fax messages as well as the audio of the threatening phone call Senator Yee talks about in his press release.

Here you can listen to the phone call and also download it - just click on the button:

I know it's very, very ugly, but this is a copy of some of the original fax messages which were sent to Senator Yee - you can also download the PDF which was provided by Senator Yee's office HERE:

Hate mail sent to California State Senator Leland Yee - part 1
Hate mail sent to California State Senator Leland Yee - part 2
Hate mail sent to California State Senator Leland Yee - part 3

+++

I am glad to see that Senator Yee is not intimidated. These vile and reprehensible people should not be allowed to play ANY role in American politics. And don't expect to hear from Sarah Palin regarding this matter. As usual, she will deny any responsibility, and SURELY this could not have been HER fans.

Some things, dear readers, will never change.

I now uploaded the phone call also to youtube:

Sarah Palin's psychos terrifying Tina Fey

The March 15 issue of Globe magazine has a disturbing headline:

"PALIN PSYCHOS TERRIFYING TINA!
"

We all know how good the palinbots are at terrifying people. Tina Fey has not escaped their subtle treatment.

The comic, whose spot-on impressions of Alaska's former Republican governor tickled America's funny bone during the 2008 presidential campaign, says she's now scared for her life after receiving hate mail from some rabid Palin supporters.

Ironically, Fey's parents are Republicans. And as an independent voter, she says she's"appalled" by the partisan nature of politics on both sides of the aisle.

"It's scary to be in that world of politics," she says. "I feel uncomfortable to be in that discussion."

The world of politics can be scary, but it has become positively something out of a horror movie since Sarah Palin came into the scene.

While Sarah Palin can be very entertaining as a celebrity, she's not so funny when it comes to politics. We should hope that after her debut as a Hollywood swag grabber she would dedicate more time to her celebrity side and leave politics to less scary people.

Many people have been threatend in her name and she never took any responsibility for any of these ugly events. From bloggers to judges to real entertainers, quite a few innocent people are now scared for their lives. I wish they will remain safe.

Tread carefully, Sarah. Many celebrities have met very "grizzly" fates in the hands of their own fans. Courting an uneducated, unbalanced crowd could seriously backfire.

Open Thread - Clever Sarah Palin

We have some visiting trolls, so I thought it would be a good idea to remind them how well Sarah Palin knows her Canadian neighbours. After all, one of her claims to foreign policy experience is the fact that Alaska and Canada share a vast land border and have trade missions back and forth all the time.

Poor Sarah, her vanity and her delusional sense of self-importance made her the only politician who didn't realize she was being pranked. The only other celebrity who had to be told by the Masked Avengers that the phone call she received was a joke was... Britney Spears.

Would anybody like to see Britney Spears in the White House?

No, I didn't think so. But some people seem to believe that a person as clever as Ms Spears should be the president of the United States...

Enjoy.

Sarah Palin: This is Sarah.

Masked Avengers: Ah, yeah, Gov. Palin.

Palin: Hello.

Masked Avengers: Just hold on for President Sarkozy, one moment.

SP: Oh, it's not him yet, they're saying. I always do that.

MA: Yes, hello, Gov. Palin.

SP: Hello, this is Sarah, how are you?

MA: Fine, and you? This is Nicolas Sarkozy speaking, how are you?

SP: Oh, it's so good to hear you. Thank you for calling us.

MA: Oh, it's a pleasure.

SP: Thank you sir, we have such great respect for you, John McCain and I. We love you and thank you for taking a few minutes to talk to me.

MA: I follow your campaigns closely with my special American adviser Johnny Hallyday (French rock star), you know?

SP: Yes, good.

MA: Excellent. Are you confident?

SP: Very confident and we're thankful that polls are showing that the race is tightening and...

MA: Well I know very well that the campaign can be exhausting. How do you feel right now, my dear?

SP: I feel so good. I feel like we're in a marathon and at the very end of the marathon you get your second wind and you plow to the finish.

MA: You see, I got elected in France because I'm real and you seem to be someone who's real, as well.

SP: Yes, yeah. Nico, we so appreciate this opportunity.

MA: You know I see you as a president one day, too.

SP: Maybe in eight years.

MA: Well, I hope for you. You know, we have a lot in common because personally one of my favourite activities is to hunt, too.

SP: Oh, very good. We should go hunting together.

MA: Exactly, we could try go hunting by helicopter like you did. I never did that. Like we say in French, on pourrait tuer des bebe phoques, aussi (we could kill baby seals, too).

SP: Well, I think we could have a lot of fun together while we're getting work done. We can kill two birds with one stone that way.

MA: I just love killing those animals. Mmm, mmm, take away life, that is so fun. I'd really love to go, so long as we don't bring along Vice-President Cheney.

SP: No, I'll be a careful shot, yes.

MA: Yes, you know we have a lot in common also, because except from my house I can see Belgium. That's kind of less interesting than you.

SP: Well, see, we're right next door to different countries that we all need to be working with, yes.

MA: Some people said in the last days and I thought that was mean that you weren't experienced enough in foreign relations and you know that's completely false. That's the thing that I said to my great friend, the prime minister of Canada Stef Carse (Canadian country singer).

SP: Well, he's doing fine, too, and yeah, when you come into a position underestimated it gives you an opportunity to prove the pundits and the critics wrong. You work that much harder.

MA: I was wondering because you are so next to him, one of my good friends, the prime minister of Quebec, Mr. Richard Z. Sirois (Canadian comedian), have you met him recently? Did he come to one of your rallies?

SP: I haven't seen him at one of the rallies but it's been great working with the Canadian officials. I know as governor we have a great co-operative effort there as we work on all of our resource-development projects. You know, I look forward to working with you and getting to meet you personally and your beautiful wife. Oh my goodness, you've added a lot of energy to your country with that beautiful family of yours.

MA: Thank you very much. You know my wife Carla would love to meet you, even though you know she was a bit jealous that I was supposed to speak to you today.

SP: Well, give her a big hug for me.

MA: You know my wife is a popular singer and a former top model and she's so hot in bed. She even wrote a song for you.

SP: Oh my goodness, I didn't know that.

MA: Yes, in French it's called de rouge a levre sur un cochon (lipstick on a pig), or if you prefer in English, Joe the Plumber...it's his life, Joe the Plumber.

SP: Maybe she understands some of the unfair criticism but I bet you she is such a hard worker, too, and she realizes you just plow through that criticism.

MA: I just want to be sure. That phenomenon Joe the Plumber. That's not your husband, right?

SP: That's not my husband but he's a normal American who just works hard and doesn't want government to take his money.

MA: Yes, yes, I understand we have the equivalent of Joe the Plumber in France. It's called Marcel, the guy with bread under his armpit.

SP: Right, that's what it's all about, the middle class and government needing to work for them. You're a very good example for us here.

MA: I see a bit about NBC, even Fox News wasn't an ally as much as usual.

SP: Yeah, that's what we're up against.

MA: Gov. Palin, I love the documentary they made on your life. You know Hustler's Nailin' Paylin? (porn movie)

SP: Ohh, good, thank you, yes.

MA: That was really edgy.

SP: Well, good.

MA: I really loved you and I must say something also, governor, you've been pranked by the Masked Avengers. We are two comedians from Montreal.

SP: Ohhh, have we been pranked? And what radio station is this?

MA: CKOI in Montreal.

SP: In Montreal? Tell me the radio station call letters.

MA: CK...hello?

Is Sarah Palin's mental instability contagious?

Now that we have recovered from the hilarious news that Sarah Palin is joining Fox News as an expert in many fields, let's go back to more important matters. Diversion tactics will not work, Sarah.

We were rudely interrupted when we were discussing the revelations about the 2008 campaign in the book "Game Change".

Our friend Floyd M. Orr drew our attention to a new trick devised by the palinbots to protect their idol, by trying to prevent people from purchasing and reading "Game Change".

"...the Palinbots have attacked this book in a new way, all saying that it deserves one star simply because it has not already been released in the Kindle format at Amazon, or the Nook/e-book format at B&N. This is a scam to load the book's pages at both sites with one-star reviews. Most people do not realize this yet. As you know, I am a small-time author who plays in this sandbox all the time, so I understand the many processes involved. The truth is that this scam has no relationship to Nooks or Kindles whatsoever. It's just more Palinbot nasty business."

We gathered some examples from the Amazon site:

"As soon as I heard about this book I knew I wanted to read it. I was surprised that it was not available to pre-order on the Kindle but I assumed it would become available when the book was released. It seems that the publisher does not understand that as much as I want to read this book, I only read books on my Kindle."

"The Kindle Edition of this book has not yet been released, and according to the Harper Collins website, will not be released until FEBRUARY 23rd. Hence, I can only assume it is terrible. Yes, I AM a childish political nerd with a kindle. And yes, I will buy this book if it comes out on kindle. Until then, I'm drinking hella haterade."

"I would love to read this book, but I have no interest in purchasing a hard copy. If Harper waits too long, Kindle users like myself will forget about this book and move on."

"I also jumped right on Amazon to order this book, but since no Kindle version is available, I'm not purchasing anything. I'll just borrow a hardback copy from a friend if I want to read this one."

Serious readers retaliated:

"I cannot believe that people are giving this serious book bad reviews just because they cannot yet read it on their Christmas presents. Says a lot more about the reviewer than the reviewed."

"How is it possible that Amazon records one star ratings that are solely a result of a no Kindle protest? I'm glad I read all the reviews, since my first impression from the 3-star composite was a very average book. It's the BOOK reviews, folks."

"People should read more real books anyways.

Now before you start complaining that this isn't really a review, I urge you to check out some of the other reviews here for GAME CHANGE.

Out of the 11 reviews thus far, 4 do not discuss the book at all and simply complain that there is no Kindle version.

All gave the book 1 star, apparently because there is no Kindle edition.

Make any sense to you?

No, me neither.

Something smell a bit fishy, perhaps?

Yup. You bet.

So all I'm saying is what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

You guys give the book 1 star for no Kindle, and I give it 5 stars for no Kindle.

Sound fair?"

There were many more reviews when I visited Amazon, both exploiting the Kindle angle and protesting about these non-reviews.

Time acknowledges that Sarah Palin's supporters have had some success in keeping her safe from criticism and scrutiny.

"Intimidated by the rabidness of her supporters, believing that they can't be swayed by facts and worried about getting crosswise with the most highly energized part of the Republican base, McCainworld has shied away from fighting for the soul of the party, instead allowing her version of reality to go largely unchallenged -- and her rise to continue unchecked."

But they also see that this code of silence has been broken with the publication of "Game Change".

"The question, however, is what will happen now that the omerta has been broken. So far Palin has not responded (beyond a blanket nondenial denial) to the facts about her in "Game Change" or the views offered on 60 Minutes by Schmidt."

Sarah Palin referred people back to "Going Rogue" for the "true" version of what happened during the campaign.

John McCain, on the other hand, became aggressive when Matt Lauer asked him how he felt about the "Game Change" disclosures. Burying his head in the sand and trying to change the subject while repeating "I'm proud of Sarah Palin, I'm proud of the campaign, I'm proud of everybody," refusing to take any responsibility for any of the campaign shortcomings, make us seriously question his judgement, character and personality.

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Questions we have to ask - Why are her fans so afraid? What revelations could prove so devastating to Sarah Palin's image that they have to resort to every dirty trick in the book?

The palinbots have been rigging every online poll to make Sarah Palin come across as an immensely popular person who would win the presidency by a landslide in 2012. They use multiple IDs, different ISPs, they do anything to make her look good. The pro-Palin sites don't allow any dissent whatsoever, even from people in their own ranks. Now they're using more subtle tactics, as in the case of the book ratings on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

They have defended Sarah Palin's record and validated her many lies quite happily, they accepted "Going Rogue" as gospel truth and will not fact check anything. But the game has changed...

Sarah Palin's ignorance is well documented, so there's nothing very damaging in "Game Change" relating to that.

Mental instability is something new to Sarah Palin cult followers.

We have been discussing Sarah Palin's mental health for months and they have never reacted to any of our statements. We're just bloggers, after all. But now they heard it from campaign insiders. It's there, in black and white, in a well researched book they're refusing to purchase and hoping to bring the ratings down to prevent others from buying and reading it.

They must be very frightened to learn certain things.

"One minute, Palin would be her perky self; the next she would fall into a strange blue funk," the authors write.

The morning of her ill-fated CBS interview with Katie Couric, Palin - "her eyes glassy and dead" - was unresponsive to attempts to prep her as she was being made up.

"As they were about to set off to meet Couric, Palin announced 'I hate this makeup' - smearing it off her face, messing up her hair, complaining she looked fat," the book relates.

Palin went into a tailspin. She stopped eating or sleeping, and drank only a half a can of diet soda a day, recounts the book written by John Heilemann of New York magazine and Mark Halperin of Time magazine.

"When her aides tried to quiz her she would routinely shut down - chin on her chest, arms folded, eyes cast to the floor, speechless and motionless, lost in what those around her described as a kind of catatonic stupor."

When the campaign took her to Arizona to prep for the veep debate, McCain's staff made sure a doctor friend was on hand "to observe her," the book says.

The red flag went up on July 3, 2009.

We have long speculated about the reasons for Sarah Palin's erratic behaviour. Does she have a personality disorder? Is she bi-polar? Does she abuse prescription and non-prescription drugs?

Here we see a very perky Sarah Palin and her delirious fans.

Both Sarah and her cult followers were on a high during the book tour.

Now the palinbots are in a tailspin themselves. They always claim that she's just like them.

Yes, they're ignorant, very excitable and several teabags short of a rally.

Sarah Palin's popularity - The Myth

When John McCain launched Sarah Palin on the national stage, much was said about her popularity ratings.

How does one measure popularity in a state so huge and so sparsely populated as Alaska?

Our good friend Barb Dwyer gave us a good first-hand account regarding the peculiarities of the electorate in Alaska:

There's a few things to consider here. It's true she did bluff her way into office in a way, it was more of I won't say anything other than I'm Republican and I'm NOT Frank Murkowski. She dodged interviews, dodged debates, dodged just about anything where she would have to speak. She was in awe of her opponents knowledge but admitted to Andrew Halcro that she thought that when it came to your average voter, knowledge of facts and figures just doesn't matter. In Alaska more than anywhere else this is probably true. People just don't pay attention as a whole for a wide variety of reasons. Distrust of Government in general, really bad TV coverage, even worse newpapers and the fact that many people watch or read neither. This is a state that continues to try and elect Ted Stevens and Don Young no matter how much criminal activity they may be involved with. We also have, I believe, 11 other legislators currently sitting in Federal prisons with more on the way. Most I'm sure could be re-elected when they are released. It really is that pathetic. So another crook running for a high position is business as usual up here.

When a person says they are pregnant, people believe them. There's no reason really to question someone and especially when your Governor tells you this. People just thought, well that's weird and went about their business. I watch our horrible new broadcasts all the time and I would bet that over the period she said she was pregnant, I saw her on TV maybe 3 times. She always sends her spokesmen and department heads to do her talking for her. People would question that aspect and wonder why she couldn't speak for herself but that's how she did it. She was always very elusive, hell the legislature couldn't even find her half the time. There were bumper stickers all over Juneau saying "Sarah the jobs in Juneau" because she was always hiding out eating crunch wraps.

The only reason her ratings were so high is because she essentially bribed her constituents with the energy rebate checks. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. She was widely disliked after announcing AGIA and that would not have looked good for her VP nod. So being the socialist that she is, she sent everyone in the state a check for $1,200 and the people danced with glee. Then they took that poll that everyone refers to right after everyone got home from purchasing their new plasma TV and they all loved the Governor who gave them free money. She was running a con game and a shell game all at the same time, knowing the low information voters of this state would stay oblivious to most, if not all of what was going on. She had the ADN in her back pocket (they had a shrine to her online) and that's really all she needed to pull off all of her shenanigans.

I walked around with a shirt I made the day after she quit, that said "Dude where's my Governor" inside an outline of Alaska that was blue and gold, the colors of our flag. For a full 2 months I had people who live here asking me what that was about. They had NO idea the woman had quit. That just goes to show how little people pay attention to what's going on in politics here.

The distances also play into the equation. I remember when MSNBC went out to Little Diomede to show the only place in Alaska you can see an island that belongs to Russia. They asked the Mayor if Sarah had ever been there and he replied that she hadn't. His next question was why was this news crew way out in Little Diomede. They had to inform him that SP had been given the VP nod. The Mayor of Little Diomede had no idea she had been tapped for that position. News travels slow up here if it gets anywhere at all. It's just the reality of this state. Could she have pulled this off anywhere else? I seriously doubt it.

Alaska has a tiny population. According to the 2008 census, there are 686,293 people spread over 586,412 square miles, or 1.17 inhabitants per square mile.

Sarah Palin received 48.33% of the vote in the election for governor, 114,697 votes. That's based on the number of people who voted, but it represents only 22% of the total number of people entitled to vote.

Wasilla had 5,469 inhabitants in 2000. Sarah Palin was elected mayor in 1996 and re-elected in 1999. Based on the number of inhabitants above, of the people elligible to vote, only 20% voted in 1996 and 22% in 1999.

Let's have a look at the actual figures on all three occasions.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Mike Huckabee said Sarah Palin had more votes in the mayoral poll than Joe Biden had in the primaries. Biden had 63,157 votes, which is a bit higher than 909...

It doesn't seem too difficult to reach a high percentage of the votes in a place like Alaska. People are scattered all over the place, in very isolated, remote areas. Of the 506,485 people elligible to vote, only 47% actually voted in 2006 (the figures may be slightly out, as they're based on a 2008 census estimate).

The same would hold true for popularity ratings. The samples would not reflect the state as a whole. A bribe of $1,200 surely helped improve things a bit.

The figures we've seen above hardly indicate overwhelming popularity or unbridled enthusiasm for Sarah Palin.

John McCain helped perpetuate the myth when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate.

Although they lost the election, the damage was done. McCain unleashed this nightmare that is Sarah Palin, she went rogue and the rest is history.

Her so-called popularity in her own state was seriously damaged and her ratings plummeted after November 2008, culminating in her resignation from the office of governor in July 2009.

Granny Grifter has replaced the supporters she had in Alaska with shiny new $upporters from the Lower 48. That could have been one of her motives for quitting... a fresh supply of $upporter$!

Jessica Steele (Beehive) emulates her idol Sarah Palin and finally quits Twitter

Jessica Steele (username "Jessica Beehive"), Sarah Palin's "celebrity hairdresser" from Wasilla (one celebrity customer is apparently enough these days for claiming to be famous) has finally deleted her twitter account.

However, we saved a number of very fascinating screenshots for viewing on flickr in which Jessica Steele presented herself in the past on Team Sarah and on her twitter.

On Team Sarah (click to enlarge):

Two notable episodes happened on Jessica Steele's twitter which have been preserved for eternity:

First, Jessica Steele lied on twitter about her interview with the New York Times. She deleted her tweets in which she lied a few days after they were debunked by the New York Times. Fortunately, I was still able to grab the screenshots.

Friends worried that she appeared anxious and underweight. Her hair had thinned to the point where she needed emergency help from her hairdresser and close friend, Jessica Steele.

“Honestly, I think all of it just broke her heart,” Ms. Steele said in an interview at her beauty parlor in Wasilla, the Beehive.

As our readers might remember, the story hit the headlines, because several days later Jessica Steele suddenly claimed that the story was reported incorrectly and said:

"It wasn't like I did an intervention,'' Jessica Steele, Palin's long time friend and hairdresser, told the Boston Globe in a phone interview from her Wasilla beauty parlor, the Beehive. "I think the combination of traveling and just being down there in the lower 48... We needed to get her back to shiny.''

In addition, Jessica Steele started her own manic private twitter campaign and shot out one tweet after the other in rapid succession directed against the New York Times, for example slamming the "NY Slimes"and "liberal, vile, disgusting creatures" (these two messages were orginally written by another Palinbot and then re-tweeted by Jessica Steele):

Unfortunately for Jessica Steele, it turned out that she had absorbed the dark soul of Sarah Palin a bit too intensively and had lied in classic Palin-fashion because shortly afterwards, the truth emerged:

Kim Severson, the reporter who interviewed Jessica Steele at some length in her salon for the article, received an e-mail from her early on July 13 saying, 'Thank you so much for the article!! It was perfect!'

"In several later conversations, she confirmed that view. Therefore, we believe our reporting is accurate."

Even after the publication of these news, Jessica Steele continued to be in denial and tweeted unmoved:

"I wouldn't have used the word "perfect" I say fabulous"

...and in true imitation of Sarah Palin continued on twitter:

"I have repeatedly asked Kim for the supposed "email" she spoke of she will not send a copy because it doesn't exist there is no such email"

Which was of course a lie - somebody from the New York Times must have sent her the email - because she deleted the tweets shortly afterwards, before she then quickly made her page private and deleted even more tweets of her "twitter campaign" against the New York Times before her twitter page later continued to be public again.

Which makes matters even worse is that Jessica Steele accused the New York Times of false reporting and insulted them on twitter despite of the fact that the New York Times had given her massive, hardly deserved publicity in the past during the election campaign in 2008:

But then, Palinbots always have difficulties to recognize friend and foe, as Sarah herself demonstrated in "Going Rogue" in bold fashion. As a result, Sarah Palin now has more Republican enemies in Alaska than probably any other Republican politician in history - this assertion is based on first-hand knowledge on my part.

As it was to be expected, C4P published Jessica Steele's false version of the story and didn't correct it after the lie was exposed. Palinbots never admit any wrong doing - rule No 1 for every Palinbot (because otherwise they would be out of business very quickly).

Being a true Palinbot, Jessica didn’t learn from her mistake and a few days ago openly supported on her twitter the call to harass the judges in the Bristol Palin vs. Levi Johnston custody case, because the judges didn't approve Bristol's request for closed proceedings and allowed the custody proceedings to be public.

Maybe Jessica Steele will now give the matter some thought and will come to the conclusion that hairdressers should not get involved in extreme right-wing politics. Although the fact that she deleted her twitter seems to be a first step in the right direction, the jury is still out on that, because wisdom was never the virtue of the common Palinbot.

Great Leader Chairwoman Sarah grants Tripp the right to be called a "Palin" and bans counter-revolutionaries!

Great Leader Chairwoman Sarah

Great Leader Chairwoman ("The Governor") Sarah amazes her faithful followers ("The Paliban") again with her decisive and spirited actions!

(clapping, standing ovation)

In order to secure her heritage and further decades of "Palin revolution", she granted her grandson Tripp (formerly "Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston") the right to be called a "Palin". Her wise Politburo ("SarahPAC") executed her order in classic simple revolutionary style which can easily be understood by the masses (click to enlarge):

(endless clapping, standing ovation, many shouts of "bravo")

The h/t for this wonderful piece of information goes to our faithful observer "EyeOnYou".

The exact birthdate of Tripp (now "Tripp Palin") has not been officially disclosed by the Great Chairwoman Sarah yet, but he was born either on December 27 or on December 28, 2008, depending on what type of bourgeois liberal publication you choose to believe.

(silence)

In addition, we have more good news! Great Chairwoman Sarah had her book signing at the "Curtis C. Menard Memorial Sports Center" in Wasilla today for our red bible "Going Rogue".

The "Curtis C. Menard Memorial Sports Center" is, as we are all aware, a sacred location for our movement. It was built on executive orders by our Great Chairwoman Sarah herself, who didn't spare any money in order to give her beloved people a sports center that would meet world standards!

(endless clapping, standing ovations)

Today, at the book signing, the well-know counter-revolutionaries who go by the names Gryphen and Dennis Zaki...

(loud and prolonged shouts of "boos", angry gestures)

...yes, those ones...tried to gain access and disturb the peace of the enthusiastic supporters of Great Chairwoman Sarah and desecrate the sacred arena!

(more shouts of "boos")

However, Great Chairwoman Sarah ("Red Lipstick") wisely chose to create a "ban-list" and to advise the People's Police to swiftly remove the counter-revolutionaries and therefore secured the peace and ensured that the Paliban could hail the Great Chairwoman Sarah undisturbed of evil counter-revolutionary liberal troublemakers! Long live Great Leader Chairwoman Sarah! May the revolution of the Paliban live and prosper!

(endless clapping, standing ovation, shouts of "bravo" fill the room)

Sarah Palin is "just like us", but wants to be more like Queen Elizabeth II

Sarah Palin is depicted on some medallions:

This 1 oz. gold medallion honors Alaska's Sarah Palin. As Alaska's first woman Governor, she had a reputation of being against "business as usual". She was thrust into the national spotlight when she was chosen to be John McCain's vice presidential running mate. A donation from the sale of these medallions will be made to Wounded Warrior Project, helping seriously injured service members. The price for this 1 oz. pure gold medallion is $400.00 over the market price of gold, please call for quote. Order today before gold rises any further.

Another very famous woman also has her likeness on gold coins:

B.U. British Sovereign "Elizabeth II" Gold Coins $549.95

Although no portion of the gold sovereign sales goes to charity, the Queen is Patron of more than 620 charities and organisations.

The protocol when meeting Queen Elizabeth II:

Only shake the queen's hand if she offers it to you first. If you are wearing gloves, do not remove them.

Do not begin a conversation with the queen. Instead, wait until she starts speaking to you.

Hairdresser Rhonda Halliday had a bizarre experience when she was summoned to look after Sarah Palin's hair:

After being ushered to a room on the 15th floor and given some instructions (don't talk to Palin unless she talks first) she did Palin's hair while the former Alaska governor chatted with her family.

Rumour has it that Queen Elizabeth II doesn't carry money in her purse, apart from Sundays:

The Queen carries a comb, a handkerchief, a small gold compact, and a tube of lipstick in her handbag. The Queen does carry money on Sundays--a folded note of unknown denomination which she discreetly places in the collection plate.

Queen Sarah doesn't appear to have cash in her purse either:

Halliday was the last one out of the room because she had to put her equipment away, then watched as they all drove off without anyone mentioning payment or a tip, which is common when the hairdresser travels to the client for the appointment.

A commenter remarked that Sarah Palin had done something similar in Anchorage:

"Just like when she worked downtown Anchorage. She would go for her fancy coffees, get a few extras for her buddies, and then tell the coffee girls she did not have her purse and would walk out. She did this consistently. Palin pays for NOTHING. Grifter."

I wouldn't say Her Majesty the Queen (the real one) is a grifter. Her staff make sure any bills incurred are paid immediately, so the queen herself doesn't have to fish for money out of her purse.

Sarah Palin needs to take a good look at herself and see that she's no queen, just a spoiled celebrity. She could also instruct her staff to pay any bills promptly, so hard working Americans are not left waiting for their money in these difficult times...

Her fans think she's accessible and just like them:

"Please notice that Sarah is not afraid to reach out and touch the American people when she meets them. In fact, it's rarely just a quick shake of the hand. More often she holds the person's hand throughout the time she speaks with them, with a firm grip with a warm hand as she ... looks them straight in the eye and makes even the most shy open up in the glow of her personality. Just one more great attribute of this great person. BTW: I'll never wash that hand again!!!"

"I love your book, Sarah....feel like I know you...what a normal family and normal life...just like ours....you are truly an inspiration to all women..."

How many of them fail to pay their bills, travel in a private luxury jet, build an enormous house and expect people not to talk to them unless they're addressed first?

Sarah Palin's fans are very misguided and naive. She's a celebrity who thinks she's entitled to be treated with deference, who still carries the title of governor after quitting office after only half a term. Sarah Palin travels with her family to reinforce the idea that she's "one of them". The children are mere props and the adults are just as dishonest as queen Sarah.

I'm not pro-monarchy, but Queen Elizabeth II has centuries of tradition and decades of hard work behind her. She is not a "nouveau riche" wannabe from the Valley pretending to be like her own supporters to make them part with their hard earned money for her own benefit.

Health Care: Sarah Palin's "Bots" are Revolting

Yesterday the House of Representatives passed the Health Care Reform Bill, and for Americans, this surely should be a reason to celebrate. After all, this bill contains many positive provisions - a good overview can be found here. However, in the warped reality of Sarah Palin and her followers - let's call them "Palinbots" - it is all the work of the devil. Sarah Palin herself set the tone in a new facebook post, phrased in what can already be called "classic demagogic Palin style": "Broken promise of transparency", "monstrous bill rammed through on Saturday" (this day is reserved for fishin' and huntin', right?), "out-of-control bureaucratic mess", "will rob Americans more of our freedom", "disastrous for our economy and personal liberty", "those of us who love freedom and believe in open and transparent government can only be dismayed" - Sarah's facebook post had it all (although she didn't mention the military or Ronald Reagan - perhaps she missed a beat there?).

When she was Governor in Alaska, Sarah Palin was as transparent as the Soviet Politbureau, but then she very well knows that her cult-like followers will swallow with joy everything that is uttered by the Quitter Queen - her word is gospel.

I went to the website of C4P today in order to see what the mood in Sarahland is like - after two defeats (NY-23 and Health Care) for Sarah Palin within a few days, they surely would be unhappy. Right?

Well, what I encountered in the comments on C4P is a parallel world which in these days is more extreme than ever - and although we are quite used to this right-wing parallel world right now, a world in which Sarah Palin will be "the Governor" forever, I thought that it would be worthwhile presenting some artefacts from yesterday and today which I found on C4P.

Let's begin with a rather harmless observation. Palinbots love Star Wars and Lord of the Rings - just like "normal people", sweet (please click on the pictures to enlarge):

The very existence of the Republic now depends on Sarah Palin - naturally:

Here is a truly interesting thought by a concerned Palinbot: Because of the gift of health care, everybody will now vote for the Democrats - and then "we are so royally screwed":

People "will be fleeing America" - sure! I recommend the UK - they don't have to learn a new language, and they would get free healthcare without having to pay for anything - apart from taxes, which are not very high. However, a true Palinbot would certainly not use these monuments of socialism which are called hospitals in the UK and rather suffer proudly at home, right? Nancy knows:

Civil disobedience now is of course the duty of any true American patriot - goes without saying! After all, only commies want insurance. Will Sarah Palin, the true patriot, take the initiative and give up her health insurance?

Not to forget, Republican Rep. Joseph Cao now deserves the death penalty for voting with the Democrats - or worse:

Now it's getting a bit more - militaristic, let's say. After all, Sarah loves the military, so her imaginative supporters try to find the right words:

From here, we continue our journey and enter the "creepy" territory. You could call it the "secret service area". But surely they all just make fun, yes, hahaha, how funny is that! Not to be taken seriously, SURELY! Examples:

Here ends our little visit to the world of the Palinbots. I hope you have enjoyed it - NOT! Let's now leave the Palinbots to themselves again - as dissenters are kept out of C4P, due to their fancy new commenting system in which they can ban commenters and IP addresses instantly. Dissent is not wanted in Sarahland. But who needs an open discussion, when dictating the rules through facebook is so much more fun?

Please also have a look at Bree's post from today, where she analyzes comments which Sarah's fans have left on Sarah's facebook. Even scarier over there - some people very openly suggest to kill Obama!
