Levi Johnston, Lori Tipton And Their “Business” at Mat-Su Hospital – And What Rex Butler Doesn’t Want To Go On the Record With… UPDATED

Anybody interested in Sarah Palin’s faked pregnancy with Trig has to deal with surprises from time to time. One of those surprises was the Vanity Fair article “”Me and Mrs. Palin” which appeared in the October issue of Vanity Fair and was “written by Levi Johnston” (it was based on an 16-hour-interview marathon that Levi Johnston had with Vanity Fair in preparation for the article).

The article in Vanity Fair left many observers from all sides of the political spectrum unhappy. For example, the Sarah-cultists at C4P released an angry “Levi the Liar” post the day the first facts became known over the internet, and in the New York Times, Gail Collins wrote about “The Revenge of Levi” and couldn’t hide her disappointment when she remarked: “For the first time in my life, I feel sympathy for Sarah Palin.”

Even our “brother in arms” Gryphen from “Immoral Minority” was stunned and declared: “Essentially much of what Levi says in the article is in direct opposition to things I have learned over the last five months”, and his confusion was noticeable when he added: “I don't know what that means yet.”

Well, I also don’t know what this means yet, but what I do know is that a systematically executed analysis of the situation based on the facts is the only way forward.

There is one part in Levi’s article on which I would like to focus in this blogpost: Levi’s remarks about what happened on April 18, 2008, Trig Palin’s “official birth”.

According to Levi Johnston, Sarah Palin told her family that she was pregnant only “one or two days” before she revealed her well concealed secret to a stunned media on March 5, 2008. Then, on April 18, 2008, the following happened, according to Levi Johnston: “I was at the hospital when Sarah had the baby a little after six A.M. on April 18, 2008, two weeks before we told her we were pregnant.”

This sentence left some readers perplexed. Most people I know understood it in the way that Levi Johnston himself was physically present at the hospital at a little after six a.m. in the morning.

But can this really be true?

On the blogs, some commenters doubted that Levi had a good reason to be there at all that morning, given the fact that he was merely the boyfriend of the daughter of the baby’s mother.

As promised, I will try to look into the facts which are available to us. We actually have one person who went on the record regarding what happened on the morning of April 18, 2008 at Mat-Su hospital in Palmer, AK.

This person is Lori Tipton. She is a journalist with the Alaska TV-channel KTUU, and cannot be suspected of left-wing sympathies. On her facebook page, she openly declared that she is “a fan of Sarah Palin”, and she is the partner of Bob Lester, who is the co-host of the ultra right-wing Alaska radio program “The Bob and Mark Show” - which used to be one of Sarah Palin’s favourite radio programs. This radio show brought us an unforgettable insight into the type of humor that Sarah Palin enjoys, when Bob Lester described Sarah Palin’s then internal Republican rival, former Alaska Senator Lyda Green, as “nothing but a very jealous woman” and a “cancer” and a “bitch”. Sarah Palin herself couldn’t suppress a few girlie giggles – knowing very well that Lyda Green herself is a cancer-survivor.

Lori Tipton had been assigned to report for KTUU from Mat-Su hospital on the morning of 18^th April, 2008.

She gave not only one, but two reports about what happened there that morning, and those reports are complimentary to each other.

Further to the above accounts, a while ago, I received an e-mail from a reader of PD which was written to her by Lori Tipton on September 22, 2008. The email had been written in response to a question that this reader had asked to Lori Tipton about Sarah’s pregnancy with Trig. There, Lori Tipton explained, after first mentioning how tight the HIPPA rules are: “Mat-Su hospital, where Gov Palin delivered, wouldn’t even confirm that she was a patient at the time of her delivery. We had to camp outside the entrance and wait for her family to walk by.”

Obviously, Lori Tipton was not at the Mat-Su hospital at six a.m. that morning. In the email she clearly says that they were waiting outside the hospital and that the family walked in at a later point. In her KTUU report she mentions that Sally and Chuck Heath “visited with their new grandson Friday afternoon”.

Interestingly, Lori Tipton was later interviewed by the “Daily Dish” in December of 2008 about what happened on the 18^th April 2008.

Andrew Sullivan’s colleague Patrick Appel, who identified himself in this article as a “non-believer” in babygate (stating “I don't believe Sarah Palin is capable of pulling off such a cover-up”), quoted Lori Tipton as follows:

“Sarah [Palin] was in another room, and they said that she was sleeping when we arrived. And so, we got a little bit of footage of Sally [Heath] holding Trig, and Chuck [Heath] standing next to her. And Bristol [Palin] was in there, and I said to Bristol, "We should get some footage of you and your brother and your grandparents." And she’s like, "No I really don’t like to be photographed." And I said, "Are you sure?" And she’s like, "Yeah, yeah, no." And she didn’t have any make-up on or anything, but she was dressed in typical teenage attire, a tight shirt, low-cut jeans, you know, and we had heard the rumors before the delivery of this baby also, that Bristol was pregnant, and so, when my photographer and I got to the hospital and we saw her, I thought, well, clearly there’s no way that that girl just delivered a baby seven hours ago.”

Therefore, from this account we learn that Sarah’s parents Sally and Chuck Heath were present that afternoon (also documented through the pictures and the footage which was shown on KTUU) and according to Lori Tipton, Bristol Palin was also there.

So are we to believe that Levi was there at Mat-Su hospital before the rest of Sarah’s family?

Well – at the time of the interview with the Daily Dish in December 2008, Levi Johnston had already been a “national celebrity” for several months. Would Lori Tipton really have left him out from her description about who was there on that day?

I personally do not believe so because a common appearance of Bristol and Levi together in April 2008 at such an event would have been too spectacular for Lori Tipton not to mention when she was interviewed by the Daily Dish.

I therefore have to conclude that Levi Johnston was in fact not there in the afternoon together with the Palin family, but at six a.m. in the morning – unless we want to call Levi a liar. And I refuse to believe that Levi is a liar. What I do believe is that we have a cleverly written Vanity Fair article which allows us to read between the lines.

So, if Levi was present at the hospital at six a.m. that morning, despite the fact that the family only arrived later that day – what was he doing there so early? What was his function? I don’t have an answer to that – but it is a question that Levi or his handlers could and should answer.

However, one possible answer could be that he was “handing over the baby”. And that the Palin family had a vital interest that he would be “invisible” for the rest of the day, and therefore it’s very likely that he was sent home before the media arrived.

This leads me to the second part of the title of this blogpost.

This is a little bombshell. From a reliable source in Alaska who has first-hand knowledge, I know for a fact that Rex Butler, Levi Johnston’s attorney DOES NOT want to go on the record regarding the question of who Trig’s biological mother is, and in addition he said "he doesn't know for a fact" that Sarah Palin has given birth to Trig.

Especially for the readers of Palingates, I have obtained another snippet of information, which is properly sourced and documented, and which has never been reported anywhere so far to my knowledge. Many of you will probably remember that our friend Gryphen from Immoral Minority wrote in his famous “Splitsville” blogpost:

“I also learned that there was an incident back in the summer of 2008, before the McCain campaign officially tapped Sarah, where Todd Palin pulled a gun on Levi in a heated exchange concerning his relationship with Bristol. This news will be hitting the local papers here in town next week.”

Well – the reason why this “gun incident” didn’t hit “the local papers here in town” was that it was not confirmed by Levi, when he was confronted with it shortly after Gryphen’s blogpost had been published. In addition, with regard to the “gun incident”, Levi made a memorable comment which so far has also never been reported – he said exactly these words:

“If someone pulls a gun on me, they better use it.”

Have we seen the “real, honest, straightforward Levi” in this sentence?

Hopefully we'll never find out...

CC, Livvy, Naked Truth and others

Thank you very much for your input. The 18th April 2008 raises a lot of questions. Who alerted the journalists, and when? At which time in the morning did the journalists arrive at the hospital? Etc.

Even more questions raises Sarah Palin's official schedule from the 18th April, 2008, and this is one piece of evidence which I didn't mention in the blogpost. The schedule was obtained through a FOIA request, and this page can be viewed here:

On the top of the schedule for the 18th April 2008 it says:

“Bristol: Interview Assistance Set Up w/KTUU (Wasilla)
GOV: Interview w/KTVA and ADN (ANC)
Todd: Interview w/KBYR (Wasilla)
Trig's Birth
WASILLA”

What does "Interview Assistance" with Bristol and KTUU mean? And I have never ever seen interviews by Sarah Palin or Todd Palin which were conducted on that day!

When were these appointments which are mentioned in the schedule set up? How did people know that the premature DS-baby would have been "fit" to be presented to the public at the day of his birth?

Sarah and Todd gave a press conference about the birth only three days later - the link for the audio to download is in Regina's special babygate resources on the right-hand side of Palingates. The statements in the press conference ("I didn't look so far along", said Sarah - despite of the famous Gusty-picture with her massive belly) also raised a lot of additional questions.

We are not conspiracy theorists. I am personally not even interested in conspiracy theories. All I am dealing with since November 2008 are facts - and the facts DO NOT ADD UP.

Nobody should be in doubt here that this investigation will continue until the truth has finally been revealed.

Sarah Palin had a plan

Levi Johnston on Vanity Fair:

Sarah told me she had a great idea: we would keep it a secret—nobody would know that Bristol was pregnant. She told me that once Bristol had the baby she and Todd would adopt him. That way, she said, Bristol and I didn’t have to worry about anything. Sarah kept mentioning this plan. She was nagging—she wouldn’t give up. She would say, “So, are you gonna let me adopt him?” We both kept telling her we were definitely not going to let her adopt the baby. I think Sarah wanted to make Bristol look good, and she didn’t want people to know that her 17-year-old daughter was going to have a kid.

He was supposedly talking about Bristol's pregnancy with Tripp. Interesting, eh?

Sarah Palin, "private" citizen

This week hasn't started very well for $arah Palin.

- Keith Olbermann was very vocal about her "death panel" claims and how she incites hatred. He didn't buy her backtracking.

- Levi talked about the Palins marital problems. Will there be a backlash?

- The Alaska Legislature voted to override her veto of the energy stimulus funds. They couldn't see the strings turning into ropes.

Next week will start with the deadline to comply with APOC's requests regarding full disclosure of Arctic Cat deals and gifts received in 2008.

I keep hoping something really big would hit her. The bribery angle in the Juneteenth lawsuit looks promising, but it would be poetic justice if someone actually launched a legal challenge to her slush fund.

Watching her making a spectacle of herself on Facebook as a "private" citizen is tedious and profoundly irritating. Her profile photo changes on a daily basis to reflect her mood, I suppose.

Somehow I don't think she will post the one photo I long to see: the quitter governor sporting an orange jumpsuit, no make-up, no hair extensions, with only matching silver bracelets as adornments.

The other garment perfect for Sarah Palin would be the customized Team Arctic jacket...

Playing catch-up with Sarah Palin

Having missed all the excitement of Sarah Palin's surprise resignation, I'm playing catch-up. Some things stand out while perusing the blogs and news sites:

1) Sarah Palin's lies: in her resignation speech and subsequent interviews, Sarah referred to the costs incurred by the state in dealing with frivolous ethics complaints, lawsuits and requests for public records as running into millions of dollars. The state published a spreadsheet showing these costs as $1.9 million. Her shiny new spokesperson, testosterone charged David Murrow, later pointed out that the salaries of various state employees were included in the calculations, giving a somewhat distorted picture of the real costs. Sarah Palin lying? What a surprise!

2) Margaret Carlson discussed Sarah Palin's legal expenses with Keith Olbermann on Countdown. John Coale, who masterminded both SarahPac and the Alaska Fund Trust, told Carlson that the legal fund paid most of Sarah Palin's legal expenses. How could the fund pay for anything if it's frozen pending the outcome of an ethics complaint?

3) SarahPac published their figures: they raised around $733,000 since January 2009. Not bad, but not very good either... Sarah's fans claim the figures could be better if they had not diverted their focus onto the Alaska Fund Trust to help retire Sarah Palin's legal liabilities. A certain pro-Palin site ran a begathon and reported the total amount raised as $130,000, but that includes donations since the start of the fund, so nobody knows how much was raised in the begathon itself. There's a lot of confusion about SarahPac and the Alaska Fund Trust all over the place: who pays for what, what's legal, what isn't, etc... All very Sarah Palin.

I went through the list of donors (over $200) and didn't see any of the names of the high profile bloggers from that pro-Palin site. There are some possibilities: they didn't donate. They donated very little. They donated a lot in little amounts in order to remain anonymous... The only person I recognized was our troll Greg. The poor guy donates very often, every time he gets an itch somewhere... his total was nearly $2,000, from small $25 itches to $250 bigger ones.

4) Shannyn Moore discusses the constitutional conundrum regarding the appointment of the next lieutenant governor. Sarah Palin seems to leave some sticky mess behind, whatever she does... One comment on Shannyn's post is quite interesting:

I wanted to bring up one more thing Palin is not talking about & needs to be complete before she leaves office.

Here goes: On June 17, ADN reported that
1) In April 29 letter – APOC asked the governor if she has any other gifts she hasn’t reported.
2) Palin response to APOC: “Mail continues to arrive. There are boxes of unopened mail at this point, even mail that was delivered in 2008. Thus, as initially disclosed, ‘we continue to open boxes’ and we consider any parcel ‘received’ at the time it is opened. I have reported those gifts received thus far that are required to be disclosed,”
—i.) Does this mean Palin will WAIT to open the gifts to avoid disclosure?
—ii.) It would seem to ME Palin has it wrong – the gifts ‘received’ date should be the post mark of the gift.
—iii.) The IRS, banks, etc ALL USE the “POST MARK” as the date received – NOT the date “opened.”

Next question:
Roughly a week after Palin’s Personal Personnel Board dismissed the Arctic Cat walking billboard – Palin filed with the APOC a written request for EXEMPTION of Financial Disclosure regarding Arctic Cat.
—i) What ever happened with that request?
—ii) IF: APOC decides Palin must follow the AS 39.50 law, THEN: Will she be able to skip out on that disclosure after her “iQuit” date?
—iii) Wouldn’t it be interesting if IN the secret Arctic Cat contract was a line suggesting the Gov wear the Arctic Cat logo.

This is important because:
a) Palin’s Personal Personnel Board SHOULD have investigated the Arctic Cat contract that Palin wants to keep secret and,
b) AS 39.50 requires, by law, that Palin DISCLOSE ALL GIFTS/DISCOUNTS for her family.

These are VERY pertinent questions. I'm very curious to see how APOC will proceed...

5) Pat Buchanan wants Todd Palin to drown Levi Johnston...

6) Finally, there's the ghostwritten Sarah Palin op-ed on the Washington Post. The only thing that makes it remotely palinesque is the use of "progressing" somewhere in the piece. Are they trying to preempt any claims about the op-ed being ghostwritten? "I wrote it all by my own little journalist degree self. Why, I even used my pet verb 'to progress', also, too."

Yeah, right!

Some people appear to be impressed by the op-ed, regardless of authorship.


There we have it: there's never a dull moment when it comes to Sarah Palin.

She may have resigned as the governor of Alaska, but unless that other shoe drops, she seems to have plans to enter the national stage, which means that blogs like mine can't afford to walk into the sunset just yet!

Sarah Palin, hot president?

Sarah Palin's visit to the East Coast had the usual dose of high drama. Back in March, she wouldn't commit to appear as the headline speaker at the GOP fundraising dinner, but changed her mind:

She hadn't been expected to attend until last week, when her advisers approached organizers saying she would be near Washington and would like to come.

Following some pressure from Fred Malek, Sarah Palin was re-invited:

After being invited — for a second time — to speak to the annual joint fundraiser for the National Republican Congressional Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Palin was told abruptly Saturday night that she would not be allowed to address the thousands of Republicans there after all.

Sarah Palin's camp didn't react kindly to this:

Stapleton said she told the NRSC staffer: “Why, at a time when we’re trying to build the party, would you pull a move like that on somebody who earlier in the day just attracted 20,000 people?”

They say the governor was happy to appear and fire up party loyalists, but that, yet again, GOP operatives and officials in Washington would just as soon try to marginalize her.

The Alaska governor may now skip the dinner altogether, and her allies are miffed at what they see as a slight from the congressional wing of the Republican Party.

But Sarah Palin ended up attending the dinner after all.

Ending weeks of she-said, they-said drama, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin turned in a cameo appearance at the gala fundraising dinner for her party's House and Senate candidates in Washington Monday night.

On Monday, just hours before the dinner kicked off, Palin reversed herself and said she would attend, even though she would not have a speaking role.

Her dithering appears to be having a negative effect:

Palin beginning to irritate some Senate GOPers

Sarah Palin has begun to get on the nerves of Republican senators who say the former GOP vice presidential nominee is taking her own White House aspirations entirely too seriously.

Several GOP senators offered searing criticism of the Alaska governor when asked in recent interviews whether she could pose a credible challenge to President Obama in 2012.

Her high-profile foray to the East Coast has not been without its stumbles — and a scheduling spat with the Senate and House Republican fundraising committees threatens to raise more questions about her viability as a national party leader.

“She’s had some struggles, saying yes and no to the invitation."

Republicans are frustrated that Palin has wavered over whether to accept an invitation to appear as the headline guest at Monday’s fundraising bash for National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) and National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).

She reportedly worried that she could overexpose herself on the national political stage. But several GOP senators said she has much graver problems to worry about than attending a private dinner to raise money for Republican candidates for Congress.

“She lost support among the independents and moderate Republicans, and a lot of them give money,” the lawmaker added.

Palin’s team was offended that Republicans rescinded the offer to speak at the mega-event and threatened not to send the governor to the dinner, even though she was scheduled to be in Washington on Monday.

Palin has shown herself to be a magnet for political drama since McCain tapped her as his running mate in August. This penchant for melodrama has left a bad taste among some members of the stately GOP Senate conference.

One GOP senator questioned whether Palin has enough gravitas for voters to trust her in tough economic times.

Playing hard to get, then offering herself at the last minute wasn't a very clever strategy. Sarah Palin may draw the crowds but all the drama surrounding her, together with other bits and pieces, seem to be turning the governor into an embarassement for the GOP.

Which brings me to the bits and pieces, which are not necessarily political, but reflect badly on someone with aspirations to the highest office in the land.



Sarah Palin's tabloid family have been active lately. Bristol Palin made appearances on behalf of Candie's, an organization torn between promoting overt sexiness and sexual abstinence. She gave interviews to Matt Lauer (with her "out cold" baby Tripp) and Chris Cuomo. People magazine also reported on her difficulties as a teen mother, her graduation, etc.



Levi Johnston, the other teen facing difficulties as a parent, also kept a high profile, with TV appearances with his mother and his sister and an in-depth article on GQ magazine.

Willow appeared on stage while her mother addressed a crowd about autism in the shortest of shorts and the tightest of t-shirts. Nothing wrong with being young and dressing like that for a day at the beach or some private event, but it was the wrong choice for the occasion.

These family issues can't help Sarah Palin's image as a serious politician.

Sarah Palin herself doesn't contribute to such an image.

Her choice of clothing and general appearance leave a lot to be desired...

Mini skirts, inappropriate shoes, inappropriate pedicure, hair extensions... these are more Victoria Beckham than governor of state with designs on the White House.

Let's make a little list of things weighing against her:

1. Constantly bashing the "feds", Sarah Palin's "affectionate" term for federal government.

2. Lecturing on the economy, criticizing the president's recovery plan with all the knowledge of a "D" student.

3. Lying to the GOP, using Alaska as an excuse not to accept their invitations, then changing her mind and getting offended when they don't bend over backwards to accommodate her whims.

4. Tabloid family.

5. A serious style problem, totally at odds with the office of state governor. Sarah Palin could get away with it in the Last Frontier, but Washington is different kettle of fish.

Can you imagine Sarah Palin in the White House, conducting serious business in her Franco Sarto shoes and mini skirts? Can you imagine Sarah Palin travelling to other countries, meeting heads of state dressed like that?

Would she turn up for world summits or would she keep everybody guessing until the last possible minute? How would the rest of the world regard her "D" views on the economy? How would her "We win, they lose" approach to foreign policy go down in a very unstable world?

Just imagine how many shoes would be hurled at her... designer shoes, with sharp heels!

Apart from her very narrow base, I can't see anybody else taking Sarah Palin seriously.

She's an embarassement to the state of Alaska and now she wants to embarass the whole of the United States as well.

Hot president? Pigs might fly...

What does Levi know? Should he write a book?

One my regular readers - who had a big hand in some previous posts - has sent me what I consider to be a guest post. UQ is a tireless researcher and a concerned citizen and I'm happy to provide the space here for some of his thoughts and questions.

According to latest GQ article, Levi has been involved with Bristol for over three years and has been around Bristol, Track, Todd, Sarah and other family members since 2006. Through this contact, Levi would have learned many details about the Palin clan. Levi’s friendship with Track Palin may precede his involvement with Bristol and may give him inside information of the Palin family prior to 2006. What details and Palin secrets does Levi know and how damaging is this knowledge to Sarah’s current political career and her future aspirations?

Rex Butler in a recent NYT interview said Levi has a very interesting story worth millions of dollars. Rex also said the story would affect the 2012 POTUS election. The GQ article and several other reports have mentioned that Rex Butler is trying to shop a book deal for Levi.

The following list is speculation on what Levi may know and what could be in a tell all book. Please feel free to speculate on other items Levi may know in the comments to this posting.

1. He would know who baby Trig’s birth mother is (and most likely who is Trig’s father).
2. If Levi is Trig’s father, he would have access to an official copy of Trig’s birth certificate.
3. He would know the actual birth dates of both Trig and Tripp.
4. He would have access to an official copy of Tripp’s birth certificate.
5. He would know the truth about Sarah’s claim of being Trig’s mother.
6. He would know details regarding Track and Bristol’s alleged drug use and party life style.
7. He would know information of court proceedings against Track and the reasons Track was sent to Michigan and why Track joined the service.
8. He may have inside information on family discussions regarding Sarah’s political aspirations and hopes prior to being selected by McCain.
9. He may have knowledge of who really built the Palin home in Wasilla.

Obviously Levi writing a book may be Sarah’s biggest nightmare. The rumors of Sarah paying Levi for his silence could be true.

Is the threat of a tell all book just a strategy move by Rex Butler in Levi’s custody case? Is this threat meant to be real or is it just an effort to seize the upper hand?

Apparently the book threat was enough to get Chuck Heath to stop calling Levi a deadbeat dad and to stop the white trash comments regarding the Johnston family. The threat also appears to have increased access and visits with Tripp.

Should Levi write a book?

The big question …. what are the benefits and downsides to Levi actually writing a tell all book about Sarah Palin and family? Does Levi win or lose by writing this book?

There are many benefits to writing the book.

Levi will escape the grip of Sarah’s influence and control and be free to get on with his own life. Levi will shed the burden of carrying the secrets of the Palin family. By telling the truth, Levi can be more open in future interviews and not have the fear of letting information inadvertently slip out.

Levi can accumulate monetary benefits that will set him up financially for the rest of his life. With this money, Levi could become a hunting and fishing guide and spend time doing the things he enjoys.

The most important benefit of a Levi book is possibly ending the threat of Sarah Palin ever having national political power.

There are very few downside risks to writing a book.

The current level of anger and hostility directed at Levi by Sarah, Todd and Bristol will increase for some period of time. This would dissipate with Sarah’s loss of political power.

Access to his son(s) will be established by the court and will not change because of a book.

Levi, write the book! You will end up winning far more than you will lose.

Bristol Palin's legal team

I commented on another post about Bristol Palin's statements to People magazine regarding her two jobs to buy diapers and formula.

Another bit of the interview caught my eye:

Bristol Palin has broken up with the baby's father, Levi Johnston. The magazine said a team of lawyers has been working out an agreement between Palin and Johnston addressing child support and visitation rights.

If she needs two jobs for diapers and formula, how many jobs would she need to pay a team of lawyers?

Is the Alaska Fund Trust paying for this team of lawyers?

Purpose of the fund:

THE ALASKA FUND TRUST, a trust for the payment of expenses or amounts incurred, undertaken or paid in connection with claims, allegations, investigations, accusations, complaints, legal inquiries, requests, and proceedings, including the response and defense thereof, arising out of or by virtue of the activities of or performance of duties as, or on Governor Sarah Palin, in her capacity as (or as a result of her being) the Governor of Alaska.

So what's the real story?

- Bristol works two jobs to buy diapers and formula.

- The two jobs are so well paid that the money covers lawyers fees as well.

- Bristol is lying. Why would she need two jobs if she has a contract with Candie's?

- The money from Candie's is paying for everything.

- The legal fund is paying Bristol's lawyers fees. That's not covered by the purpose of the fund, therefore not legal, unless they can prove that Levi Johnston had sex with Bristol with the sole purpose of impregnating her for political gain, to distract the governor from her duties and bankrupt the governor and her family...

Any other suggestions?

Levi needs a makeover...

Poor Levi is not hot enough to be a model... Out of eight talent agencies, only one thought he could have a shot at it.

But he would need a major makeover... Come on, our Levi has good bone structure and is not the kind of guy you'd throw out of the house on a rainy Monday evening!

If the RNC had given him the "Sarah Palin treatment" during the campaign, Levi would have a good modelling contract by now. No high school diploma required, no obstacles in his way...

Just think how many diapers he could have bought for his offspring!

Levi on Larry King

Levi on Larry King Live was a bit of an anti-climax. The questions from the public were weak, Levi was nervous, but there was one interesting slip @ 4:15: Levi said Sarah Palin was shocked like any mother who was told her daughter was pregnant at the age of si...eighteen. He started to say sixteen and corrected to eighteen, which still isn't right, as Bristol was seventeen when the conversation was supposed to have happened.

Bristol was sixteen at the time of the other pregnancy, the one that really fires our curiosity.

Chuck Heath: "I never said that!"

Sarah Palin's father, Chuck Heath, gave an exclusive interview to US Magazine regarding Levi Johnston's round of interviews about his relationship with the Palins and lack of access to his son.

“I don’t agree with what he’s doing right now. It’s not right. He’s broke, so he’s trying to capitalize on this. I wish he’d take some of this money he’s making and buy some diapers with it.”

Now Chuck Heath has given an exclusive interview to RadarOnline:

Heath says he never made those remarks and even defends the unemployed teenager. “I didn’t say most of that stuff—that’s a bunch of garbage. I don’t know how they came up with that. The only thing I said—and that was said jokingly, that was kind of in jest about the diapers,” Heath explained to RadarOnline. As for his feelings on Johnston hitting the media circuit, Heath cuts the teenager some slack. “It’s up to him. He’s a kid. I have no bone to pick with Levi, he’s a good kid.”

Chuck Heath seems to take one foot out of his mouth, then quickly insert the other one. The only thing he's not able to do is shut up.

Let's suppose next week the Palins decide to go on an all out war with Levi. Will Chuck Heath give another exclusive interview saying that he never said Levi was a good kid? That he doesn't know how RadarOnline came up with that?

Like father, like daughter. They both have issues with the truth and suffer from foot in mouth disease.

Levi Johnston, Sarah Palin and a rude awakening

Levi's attorney, Rex Butler, said:

"...trying to make the young man look like a deadbeat father, and, you know, they may have a rude awakening one day if he tries to get custody."

This photo of Levi with Trig was displayed, together with other photos of Levi being a hands-on father to Tripp, on the Tyra Banks show.

Mr Butler's statement and the stray photo put together could be a gentle warning to the Palins. Levi knows where the bodies are buried.

The Palins should heed the warning, work out some fair arrangement for visitation and keep their mouths shut.

Rex Butler, Levi Johnston's attorney

Levi Johnston's lawyer is bristling at suggestions from Gov. Sarah Palin's family that the 19-year-old is a deadbeat dad. "I wish that Sarah Palin's father would get his facts correct, quite frankly," attorney Rex Butler said Wednesday.

Palin's father, Chuck Heath, claims in a story being published Friday in Us Weekly magazine that the unemployed Johnston isn't financially supporting the infant. He said he wishes Johnston would take some money from the interviews and buy diapers for Tripp.

Butler told The Associated Press that Johnston was not paid for the interviews and is tired of the Palin family's characterization of his client.

Heath was "trying to make the young man look like a deadbeat father, and, you know, they may have a rude awakening one day if he tries to get custody," Butler said.

"They don't want to share his child with him like they should," he said.

Palin family spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton responded in an e-mail to the AP by saying, "Bristol is focused on college, advocating abstinence and raising Tripp."

Sarah Palin's father speaks... again UPDATED

Sarah Palin takes after her father... he can't keep his mouth shut either!

Chuck Heath says Levi Johnston is capitalizing on national interviews but not spending money on Tripp.

Heath says he wishes Johnston would "take some of this money he's making and buy some diapers with it."

The unemployed Johnston has said he wasn't paid for appearances on national television last week, when he complained the Palin family was limiting his access to Tripp since the couple broke up.

They should all appear before Judge Judy and have this matter resolved once and for all. The venue would suit their style and it would keep us entertained.

The Heaths and the Palins would probably accuse Levi of getting paid for that as well and ask him to buy some formula for Tripp!

Sarah Palin's father, Chuck Heath, says that the presents have literally been piling up.

To the tune of one hundred thousand.

In an interview with Grandparents.com, Mr. Heath remarked,

"There's all kinds of gifts laying around the place - all kinds of baby stuff. I'm in a room right now just full of baby stuff - more than she'll ever use."

In that case, Mr Heath, leave Levi alone.

Since the birth of Sarah Palin's first grandchild on Dec. 27, life at the Alaska governor's four-bedroom Wasilla home has gotten a lot busier—and a bit more crowded. Not only has tiny Tripp moved in with mom Bristol, but dad Levi Johnston has been staying over too.

Bristol actually may be better prepared for parenthood than most. As the second in the Palin lineup (after Track, 19, who is serving in the Army in Iraq, and before Willow, 14; Piper 7; and Trig), Bristol is a veteran babysitter. Having helped with Piper and Trig, "she knows what it's all about," Palin, 44, told PEOPLE shortly after becoming the GOP candidate for vice president.

Levi's mom says that Bristol isn't the only one with experience. After the birth of Trig, who has Down syndrome, "Levi would help out."

In their first week as parents, Levi and Bristol shared parenting duties. By day, says Sherry, they tended to Tripp and sorted through gifts from well-wishers; by night they traded off diaper detail and the task of soothing a crying baby.

Palin, who has been home with her family before the three-month legislative term begins in Juneau, initially declined to mention Tripp's birth, despite a handful of appearances last week. But finally, Palin was compelled to speak out after seeing media reports that her daughter and future son-in-law had dropped out of high school. Palin contacted reporters directly, twice phoning PEOPLE to say, "Levi and Bristol are working their butts off to parent and going to school and working at the same time."

Both Bristol and Levi, Palin said, "have faith they've made the right decision in setting aside their own interests to make this child their highest priority."

Bristol was also quoted in the statement from the governor's office, saying, "Teenagers need to prevent pregnancy to begin with—this isn't ideal. But I'm fortunate to have a supportive family." The careful cobbling of sentiments reflected the awkward line Palin has walked as an advocate of premarital abstinence and limited sex education, an opponent of abortion and a mother of an unwed teenaged parent.

Palin hopes that last part will change—soon. Asked to confirm reports of a summer wedding, she told PEOPLE, "Hopefully before that."

Little Tripp Johnston has been described as a "bundle of joy" by his grandmother, Sarah Palin.

Bristol – now living at her parents' house in Wasilla, Alaska – has plenty of help.

But the new mom's biggest assist comes from her "hands-on" fiancé, Levi Johnston, 18, the former high school hockey player now working as an apprentice electrician.
"He has been staying (at the Palins' home) a lot with Bristol and helping her out," a pal of Levi's tells PEOPLE. "He really likes being a father."

Then, in the first week after Tripp's birth, Levi moved in with the Palins, Levi's mother, Sherry Johnston, told PEOPLE in January. He immersed himself in childcare duties and bought his son a miniature hockey stick.

Lately, friends and relatives say, he's been back and forth between the Palins' and his mother's home 15 minutes away. Sometimes, he brings along Tripp to visit his paternal grandmother.

"Sherry sees Tripp," says a relative. "But it's not super often."

"... and by the way, I do want to clear up one issue that has really just been a bee in my bonnet over the whole Levi Johnston. Would have been over my dead body that I would have ever given permission for a teenage boy to live with a teenage girl."

Did Sarah forget to phone People magazine to correct the inaccurate details in those stories? We know that she's always very keen to put the record straight.

Sarah's statement to Eddie Burke was a bit vague. Either she meant a different teenage boy and a different teenage girl or Bristol's and Levi's names slipped her mind...
