Bristol Palin's legal team

I commented on another post about Bristol Palin's statements to People magazine regarding her two jobs to buy diapers and formula.

Another bit of the interview caught my eye:

Bristol Palin has broken up with the baby's father, Levi Johnston. The magazine said a team of lawyers has been working out an agreement between Palin and Johnston addressing child support and visitation rights.

If she needs two jobs for diapers and formula, how many jobs would she need to pay a team of lawyers?

Is the Alaska Fund Trust paying for this team of lawyers?

Purpose of the fund:

THE ALASKA FUND TRUST, a trust for the payment of expenses or amounts incurred, undertaken or paid in connection with claims, allegations, investigations, accusations, complaints, legal inquiries, requests, and proceedings, including the response and defense thereof, arising out of or by virtue of the activities of or performance of duties as, or on Governor Sarah Palin, in her capacity as (or as a result of her being) the Governor of Alaska.

Beneficiaries:

...(ii) hold a covered relationship with SARAH PALIN, including without limitation, a family member, such as a parent, spouse, child, grandchild, sibling and other close family relationship.

Did Bristol Palin have sex and become pregnant as a direct result of her mother's position as governor of Alaska?

So what's the real story?

- Bristol works two jobs to buy diapers and formula.

- The two jobs are so well paid that the money covers lawyers fees as well.

- Bristol is lying. Why would she need two jobs if she has a contract with Candie's?

- The money from Candie's is paying for everything.

- The legal fund is paying Bristol's lawyers fees. That's not covered by the purpose of the fund, therefore not legal, unless they can prove that Levi Johnston had sex with Bristol with the sole purpose of impregnating her for political gain, to distract the governor from her duties and bankrupt the governor and her family...

Any other suggestions?

(The woman holding Bristol's arm looks pregnant. Taking Sarah Palin's pregnancy with Trig as the norm, this young lady must be at least 22 months gone!)

Grow up, Sarah Palin!

Sarah Palin's nice warm home

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Thursday vetoed $80 million from appropriation bills, including $28.6 million from the federal stimulus funds for energy efficiency.

Despite pressure from some lawmakers and others to accept the federal money, Palin said she won't accept funds tied to adoption of building codes by local governments.

"Alaskans and our communities have a long history of independence and opposing many mandates from Washington, D.C.," Palin said in a statement announcing the veto. "This principle of maximum self-government for local communities is also set out in our constitution. There isn't a lot of support for the federal government to coerce Alaska communities to adopt building codes, but lawmakers can always exercise checks and balances by overriding my veto."

Sarah Palin is still playing political games...

In the meantime, people pay through their noses to heat their homes in the tropical Alaskan winter.

"There isn't a lot of support for the federal government to coerce Alaska communities to adopt building codes." What is she talking about???

Whenever she refers to the federal government, her language descends into something bordering on treason!

Sarah Palin going to irrelevant celebration (update)

Gov. Sarah Palin is coming to Auburn June 6.

The Alaskan governor and former Republican vice presidential candidate will travel to Auburn for what the city organizers call Founders Day, which this year will celebrate 50 years of Alaskan statehood.

It's not clear where else in New York Palin might visit.

"Auburn is the anchor," Meghan Stapleton said. "We're still trying to decide her schedule. "We're coming to Auburn because of the direct celebration of Alaska and the role of Auburn's William Seward. The governor is absolutely excited."

The date has no historical significance for Auburn or Alaska. Alaska became a state in January 1959; Seward Day, an Alaskan state holiday, falls on the last Monday in March.

Is Sarah Palin going to this "do" just to be nice to Meghan Stapleton?

Stapleton's father, Auburn lawyer T. David Stapleton, sits on the board of the Seward House in Auburn, and wrote the invitation on behalf of the city and the Seward House.

Good old Meg does a lot of speaking on behalf of the governor. That's the least Sarah could do... before she throws Meg under the bus, of course...

I'm sure Sarah Palin is absolutely excited about something else, though.

UPDATE: Why did AuburnPub.com say Sarah Palin had declined the invitation less than one week ago?

I'm getting a headache...

Warm blackberries

A company has come up with the first ever baby's bottle which heats milk up itself.

'It was important for us to find a way to let parents bottle feed while allowing them to be flexible and mobile to do other things at the same time.

'And this bottle means parents no longer have to worry about where and how they are going to feed their baby.'

All that's needed now is some company to knit some bootees for Sarah's Blackberries...

Sarah Palin's ghost... yawn

EXCLUSIVE: Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has chosen a collaborator for her memoirs from among more than 30 applicants, including top names in the field. Palin, in consultation with superlawyer Robert Barnett, picked Lynn Vincent, the Christian conservative WORLD magazine’s features editor, and a bestselling nonfiction co-author from San Diego. Vincent will go to Alaska for long stretches to work on the book, including taping interviews with Palin, who has already written 20,000 words on her own. Vincent was the collaborator on “Same Kind of Different As Me,” which last week was on the NYT paperback nonfiction list for the 30th week. Her books have also attracted Hollywood interest.

20,000 words on her own! Hollywood interest! Christian conservative!

It looks like Lynn Vincent only collaborates, she doesn't write her own books. Her contributions to the World magazine website are similar to Sarah Palin's when on twit mode.

Yawn...

The 20,000 words and the Hollywood bit are interesting, though.

I can see a HUGE salad with 20,000 words and we could run a competition for the title of the movie!
