Sarah Palin's "Wild Ride" on April 17, 2008 - The ultimate video, in Sarah's own words - PLUS: Alaskans Sondra Tompkins and Kim Chatman speak out!

Sarah Palin's "wild ride", her flight back from Texas to Alaska on April 17, 2008, was a crucial event, which had consequences that surely nobody could have foreseen at the time.

Four days after the "wild ride", on April 21, 2008, Sarah Palin gave a press conference to reporters in Alaska (those were the days...) and presented a story to them which simply was very hard to believe. According to Sarah, her water had broken in Texas in the early morning of the 17th April. Her reaction was to call her family doctor in Alaska, Cathy Baldwin-Johnson, ask her for advice over the telephone, then give a speech at the RGA conference in Dallas later during the day, and go on a 12-hour to fly home. She then officially gave birth to Trig on the early morning of 18th April, 2008 - about 24 hours after her water had broken.

No hospital or doctor in Dallas was graced with Sarah's presence. The fact that Sarah Palin officially was in her seventh pregnancy (including of two miscarriages), did not prompt her to see a medical professional in Dallas, after her water had broken, at 35 weeks pregnant.

As one of the most importance consequences of Sarah's "wild ride" story, people in- and outside of Alaska started to doubt that Sarah Palin was telling the truth about her pregnancy story - including later several journalists immediately after Sarah Palin's nomination, as was revealed in the "JournoList" emails.

At Palingates, we have extensively written about the details of the "wild ride" - for example HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

See also our summary document about the faked pregnancy HERE.

Today, we have news. Our reader lidia17, who already created two amazing videos about Sarah Palin's faked pregnancy, got active for us again and made another video which we have all been waiting for: Sarah Palin's "wild ride" - in her own words!

In the clip, Sarah's taped press conference from April 21, 2008 is contrasted with the story told in "Going Rogue" in 2009, which is also "on tape", because it was published also via audio book.

However, additional material has been included in this video. For example, emails of Sarah Palin's administration which were written at the time shortly before and "during" the "wild ride" in April 2008 give further insights into the highly suspicious circumstances of this trip to Texas. These emails were only published much later, mostly in 2010.

Please download the PDF-booklet of this documentary with the full content HERE.

In addition to the clip, we also would like to publish some additional information which has never been presented to the public before.

It was not only after Sarah Palin's nomination as the vice presidential candidate that people starting to examine her pregnancy story. Immediately after the details of Sarah Palin's birth became known to the public in Alaska in April 2008, there were people who had SERIOUS doubts about Sarah's story.

One of these Alaskans was Sondra Tompkins, a nurse, Air-Force veteran and mother of an autistic son, who wrote the following letter to Alaska Airlines on April 24, 2008, together with another medical professional:

"To: Bill Ayer
CEO, Alaska Airlines

From: XXX, Sondra Tompkins

Date: April 24, 2008

Re: Clarification of Policy for Expectant Travelers

Dear Mr. Ayer,

As noted from your Ask Jen virtual assistant, Alaska Airlines has no restrictions or specifications regarding pregnant women traveling. It is merely a suggestion for the woman to contact her physician before traveling. Unfortunately, we believe this is bad policy for Alaska Airlines that needs updating. Other carriers have more specific requirements as noted per their websites.

A recent high-profile situation is what we believe warrants this request. The Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, was featured in several media stories after giving birth this past Friday as having boarded an Alaska Airlines flight from Dallas returning to Anchorage after her water broke at a Governor’s conference in Dallas. In our opinion this is a serious safety issue for the mother and her baby, an inconvenience issue for the other travelers, and a business and legal concern for Alaska Airlines.

As medical professionals we have been called upon on several occasions to attend to in-flight emergencies, most of which could not have been predicted. However, Governor Palin chose to fly full well knowing that she was at risk for labor with her amniotic sac ruptured. Though we are not privy to specifics of her medical condition it is well-known that she was considered a “high-risk” pregnancy, and the rupture of membranes occurred one-month prior to her due date. That constitutes a “preterm” label. A preterm pregnancy, accompanied by premature rupture of membranes, calls for an immediate hands-on evaluation by a qualified physician regardless of the patient’s location at the time of occurrence. A phone call to a physician is woefully inadequate. No physician is ever able to accurately diagnose over the phone. With a preterm pregnancy and labor numerous potential complications can ensue, including cord prolapse, infection, and of course, the delivery of a preterm infant at 30,000 feet. Governor Palin risked her life and the life of her fetus to avoid delivery in Texas. It is also noted, per the media outlets, that Governor Palin was in fact not evaluated before boarding the flight, nor did she notify airline staff of her situation.

As you well know Dallas-Anchorage is approximately 9 to 11 hours in duration. That is more than enough time for a multiparous pregnant woman to enter into a potentially very rapid labor. Had labor begun during flight a diversion would have been necessary largely because of the premature infant potentially requiring life support. This would have been a tremendous inconvenience to the other passengers on the flight, those passengers awaiting that particular jet, and would have resulted in hundreds of re-bookings. From a business perspective this would have been costly to the airlines. Of course Alaska Airlines is concerned about all of its travelers’ safety and well-being; however, this was not an unexpected situation, like a passenger experiencing a heart attack. Governor Palin again boarded the flight with the knowledge she could go into labor at any time with a preterm infant.

Thankfully the outcome in this situation was positive, her son was delivered safely. But as we all know others less informed tend to follow suit with what celebrities and public figures do. Leaders should set positive examples for others and exercise proper judgment when making impactful decisions.

We would be remiss if we did not bring this potentially dangerous situation to your attention. Many in Alaska are celebrating the fact that Governor Palin made it back to Alaska as if it were some sort of achievement to avoid a “Texas delivery.” This isn’t a game of football. Nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of our loved ones, including those unborn. We fear another individual will attempt to do as Governor Palin did, considering her favorable public opinion at the moment, and not be so lucky.

Providing a statement of caution to expectant travelers, including more specific restrictions we believe is prudent for Alaska Airlines in this increasingly litigious society.

As always we are most appreciative of the excellent service we receive consistently from Alaska Airlines. Thank you for considering our request.

Sincerely,
XXX
Sondra L. Tompkins, BSN"

This was by far not the only activity by Sondra Tompkins. She explains in her own words what else happened, and more background:

"I not only filed an ethics complaint against Sarah but I'm a nurse and wrote as Lee Tompkins for Celtic Diva (a friend). Of course I was attempting to refute conspiracy theories about Trig's birth as a way to get the news media to listen and investigate. I began contacting the media the DAY after Sarah's dad was on the evening news talking about how her water broke in Texas. As an L&D nurse I thought "What???" Unfortuately no one would listen. I contacted the AP, the National AP (their medical reporters), NOW, ACOG, and other news organizations. At the time Sarah wasn't on the national scene and so no one really cared. I even contacted Alaska Airlines to get them to change their pregnancy policy, but to no avail. Most of the folks we were in contact with were from the ADN. I can't tell you how many conversations I had with Lisa Demer as well as Pat Dougherty, the editor. The last conversation one of my relatives had with him, when he told him he was sick of hearing about "conspiracy theories", resulted in the post I wrote for Celtic Diva. I WANTED people to talk about the issue, agree with me or not. I wanted to use the issue to highlight Sarah's hypocrisy of being "pro-life". What pro-life person would endanger the life of an unborn child?

I have to say garnering support in April '08 for questioning Trig's birth here in Alaska was almost impossible!!! At the time Sarah had an 80+% approval rating, even Dems loved her. It wasn't until McCain picked her that people began paying attention. In addition, early on there wasn't much photographic evidence to consider, we had only her crazy words to go by. Today I am convinced that the "wild ride" didn't happen and that she was not pregnant at the time, but early on the information we had was very limited."

After the presidential election, even liberal journalists dismissed the story about the faked pregnancy for example as a rumor created by "some over-eager diarists (i.e. blog readers who are free to write pretty much whatever they want online) who helped hatch and amplify the story."

However, nothing could be further from the truth. Not only was Sarah Palin's faked pregnancy widely discussed in newsrooms in Alaska after Trig's "birth", as ADN-journalist Michael Carey confirmed in September 2008, but also other citizens in Alaska were very well aware that something was seriously wrong with Sarah Palin's story - even without having received any "inside information."

Today we also know that the rumors about a pregnancy of Bristol Palin existed in the AK legislature already in December 2007, as was confirmed to us by former State Senate President Lyda Green. Another high-ranking Republican politican confirmed the existence of Bristol's pregnancy in a private conversation in Alaska in January 2008.

These are just some of the other facts (for more, see HERE). It's the implausible story of the "wild ride", which has been told in two different versions by Sarah Palin, as shown in our video, which is a legitimate starting point for the media to investigate.

How long do we have to wait until the media does their journalistic duty and reports about the case? Forever?

UPDATE:

In a speech at a fundraiser in Waco, Texas on September 14, 2010, Sarah Palin told the audience that she flew to Alaska on April 17, 2008 and then "had the baby in Anchorage!"

The video was only published today - you can see her remark at 16:50 in THIS VIDEO from the speech.

EDIT: A shorter video with the relevant part of the speech has now been uploaded HERE.

This is another blatant attempt to re-write the story of her pregnancy, just two days before she made more changes to her pregnancy story in a speech in Kentucky on September 16, 2010, as Palingates reported.

If there is ONE THING which is on the record than it's the fact that Trig was "officially" delivered at Mat-Su hospital in Palmer on the early morning of April 18, 2008.

This is getting beyond ridiculous now.

See the email from KTUU-journalist Lori Tipton, who was at the Mat-Su hospital in the morning of April 18, 2008:

Lori Tipton Email - Trig Palin's birth

Here is Lori Tipton's story at KTUU:

Lori Tipton KTUU story

I think that Sarah Palin should go on her favorite show, the "Bob and Mark radio show" in Alaska and clear up these contradictions. This would be especially interesting because Bob Lester from the "Bob and Mark show" is the partner of KTUU-journalist Lori Tipton, who reported about the birth from Wasilla on April 18, 2008. It's a small world in Alaska!

+++

UPDATE 2:

I made a clip about her "I had the baby in Anchorage" remark, showing the part of her speech in Waco, Texas, when she talks about the pregnancy, together with additional info:

+++

UPDATE 3:

Several readers asked for the video files of the three documentaries which were made by lidia17 about the faked pregnancy in order to burn them on DVD and give them to others.

I have therefore made the three clips available for download in Windows Media Video (WMV) format:

+++

UPDATE 4:

Bob Cesca reports on his blog about Sarah Palin's latest "Barack Hussein Obama" comment on Greta, noting that she now "goes full birther."

See this clip from Media Matters:

However, Bob Cesca has another good observation:

"How about this? Let's hear about Sarah Palin's background. Let's hear about these ethics violations and apparent anger management -- perhaps bipolar -- issues. How the crap did she get from Texas to Alaska after her water broke? Sarah Palin is the last person to beg for full disclosure about someone else's background."

It seems that our efforts to get the word out there are not in vain.

+++

UPDATE 5:

Another Alaskan speaks out: Kim Chatman, who already earned her place in history through the filing of the successful ethics complaint against Sarah Palin because of Sarah's unethical first legal defense fund, the "Alaska Fund Trust", commented on her facebook:

Kim Chatman Facebook screenshot 1

Kim Chatman has been living in Germany now for several weeks. She will be working here as a civilian with Army for the next years. We plan to meet her and her family very soon. Although she is in Germany now, she has not lost her fighting spirit at all, but the opposite is the case:

Kim Chatman Facebook screenshot 2

Let's hope that more Alaskans will feel free to speak out about Sarah Palin's "pregnancy" in the near future!

In addition, every person from in- and outside Alaska can anonymously and securely send messages to Palingates through our very own "Palingates-Wikileaks."

Bristol Palin's road to stardom

We had a lot of fun discussing Bristol Palin's performance in Dancing With The Stars. Bristol didn't disgrace herself, thanks to a good dance partner, but the general opinion was that she's not a very gifted dancer. So, what are Bristol gifts?

Our regular commenter maelewis wrote a very sobering post about it:
When we get down to what's important about any of Bristol's money making ventures, we have a young lady whose mother is in the public eye, one way or another. All that Bristol is famous for is having her pregnancy announced on the world stage as Sarah ran for VP. Then, Bristol and Levi were going to get married and learn that having a child while they were teens was a big responsibility. Sarah said that they would have to grow up fast.
Something changed along the way and Levi was kicked to the curb. Bristol became an advocate for abstinence, a little bit late as the proof of her "abstinence" was proudly shown off in an interview with Greta. It is really a difficult message to tell kids, "Do as I say, not as I did."
That would be fine if Bristol worked hard trying to raise her son in a normal way. But, a child of Sarah Palin does not know what a normal life is supposed to be. Tripp was exploited in some kind of vendetta against Levi. He became a prop in handsomely paid magazine articles. (Don't spit up on Bristol's pretty party gown, please. It has to go back to the designer). Bristol glamorized her single motherhood, being photographed in a modern condo wearing swell clothes and baking cookies (well, taking them out of the oven, anyway).
When Bristol appeared on Dancing with the Stars, it was further validation of the single teen mother lifestyle. If you have a kid out of wedlock, choose to keep the baby but not the father, you, too, can wear pretty clothes, high heels and strut your stuff on national tv, even if you have no talent for acting or dancing. Let's be clear; Bristol is being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to generate publicity and viewers for DWTS. Once, the color red and the letter A stood for Adultery; now it stands for Abstinence. Only, Bristol's version is that not being abstinent has paid off big time, which is really not a very good message.
Christine O'Donnell falsely claims that condoms do not prevent the spread of aids. They do. They also prevent the birth of children when the sexually active couple are little more than children themselves, and hardly ready to take on the responsibility of a child and a serious relationship. For Sarah to have set Bristol up as a spokesperson for abstinence is a joke. Bristol has become the unwitting spokesperson for having a child, pretty clothes, a condo and a shiny new big truck, and that having unprotected sex turned out very well for her. But, here is the warning, kids, it was OK for Bristol but not for you.

I don't care whether Bristol gets voted off the island or stays to win the grand prize. Booking Bristol on DWTS sends the wrong message, and she can dance her pretty feet off, the message remains the same, "Bristol is famous for being an unwed teen mother, and DWTS glamorizes it."

Many commenters hoped that Bristol's little adventure away from Wasilla would open her eyes to an exciting new world and that she would finally be able to break away from her mother's grifting ways, embracing a less hypocritical lifestyle.

I have my fingers crossed, but I'm not holding my breath...

Twitter had been hacked - UPDATE: All fine now again, it's fixed - More silly tweeting: Sarah Palin thinks that Acorn still exists

UPDATE: It's fixed, twitter is safe again.

+++

Attention, tweeters!

The website of twitter.com has been hacked and has been infected with a "virus" - please DO NOT go the website, not even for looking for what has happened!

Also HERE.

Please note that this hack can also affect twitter accounts.

Somebody already made a video about it today:

You can apparently still safely tweet over third party-applications like tweetdeck.

UPDATE:

CBSnews now reports that twitter will make an update soon, trying to remove the security flaw.

UPDATE 2:

Twitter says that they have patched (fixed) the security flaw now, but for anybody who still wants to be on the safe side for a bit longer, you can safely tweet over the mobile twitter website, which was not affected.

UPDATE 3:

It's fixed and it's safe to use twitter again.

+++

MORE SILLY TWEETING:

Queen Sarah just woke up and thought it's a good idea to entertain her subjects with a very clever tweet:

When we first saw Sarah's new tweet, we thought it's probably one of her "parody twitter accounts" - but Sarah is her own parody now. ;-)

+++

Our reader maelewis left an excellent comment regarding Sarah's new tweet:

"I loved Patrick's tweet about Acorn. Let me think, how many rallies did Acorn have on the Mall in Washington DC? Did they all dress up like Oak Trees and drop their deadly fruit on people? Maybe they dressed up like the fake pimp and his young lady, looking for a government handout? Did they have nasty signs about GWB in a Nazi uniform? (Ooops, no, that's the cover of Glenn Beck's book).

As far as the progressive left wing socialist communist fascist union-loving liberals are concerned, the last time I saw them all assembled in Washington DC was to cheer President Obama as the first person of mixed race to be sworn in as President of the United States. (First person of mixed race that we know of). The rally that is planned by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert is not being organized by people who give donations to political candidates or speak or their behalf. Stewart & Colbert are entertainers. They are boosting their TV ratings during sweeps, a time when ratings are taken, which will influence how much can be charged for advertising. They are going to use their rally as comic fodder for their TV shows. If anything, we can count on them to use satire to make fun of Glenn Beck and especially Glenn Beck's rallies. They might even cry or have a geese flyover. Jon Stewart has done a brilliant impersonation of Beck at the blackboard; I hope they have a jumbo blackboard there, along with the Vicks. (If they don't use Vicks to produce fake tear, how about a bag of onions?)

As for Acorn, I never heard of them before the Right demonized them, set them up and drove them out of business. People who worked at Acorn did not have their own radio or TV programs, where they spewed hatred and launched political attacks. When Sarah tweets on her own, she really does display the depth of her political knowledge. As for the Left talking about who is funding the Tea Party, something hit another sore spot with Sarah. I guess she had to defend her bosses at Newscorp and/or anyone else funding her. If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen."

+++

Here is a good one - Sarah Palin and the twitter hack nicely mixed together:

Not Javascript hack

Even Greta Van Susteren apparently (?) realizes that Sarah's tweet was moronic:

Greta Acorn tweet

OMG, the Palinbots will go beserk!

Wasn't Greta ALWAYS a highly suspicious person? Palinbot talking point number one (wait for it): "I never trusted her."

Or shall we interpret Greta's tweet as "support" for Sarah...? Well, they could both be just plain stupid, it's possible. ;-)

Palingates Weekly Roundup - September 12 to September 17

By Blueberry Tart

There were many updates (after I finished my last roundup) to this post about the Sarah-Glenn crazy-fest in Anchorage – hats off to our “boots on the ground” and to AKM and others who did an excellent job covering this event!

As my grandma used to say, “Will miracles never cease!” Some media outlets are actually refusing to let Sarah Palin walk all over them -- hallelujah! Following the VF rebuttal and some other chinks in Sarah’s Teflon anti-press shield, we now we have the Missoulian calling out Sarah’s claim that the media who attended her event were “moles.” Editor Sherry Devlin wrote: “…that sort of talk…is intended to create distrust of the professional journalists in this city and all across the country who take their jobs very seriously and work hard to accurately and fairly report the news.” Hear, hear! The post includes an astute comment by maelewis, as well as video from the recent Anchorage event.

Help Wanted: Christian lunatic fringe activist to run for federal office; preferably attractive female who can turn on the charm and smile big while lying through her teeth. So read the GOP ad that both Sarah Palin and Christine O’Donnell seem to have answered. Patrick steps away from the Perils of Palin momentarily to cover O’Donnell, who is running for Joe Biden’s Senate seat in Delaware. Where to begin? The lies about her education? Or perhaps the enemies creeping in the bushes around her house or her dabbling in witchcraft? Or the comments on masturbation and support for the “ex-gay” movement? I particulary like her former campaign manager calling her a “fraud” (it reminds me of Steve Schmidt’s comment about Palin being “mentally unstable.”) And the GOP is supporting her candidacy for the US Senate. Honestly, why do they attract so many candidates who are mentally ill? TEN updates!

This post reveals Sarah’s connection to Lou Engle, who, like Mary Glazier, is a leader of the extremist New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), which already exerts major political influence while flying under the radar of the media. Engle also co-founded the anti-gay, anti-abortion organization, The Call, and supported Uganda’s attempt to pass legislation subjecting HIV-positive Ugandans to the death penalty. As Bruce Wilson of Alternet wrote, “Why should Americans care about Lou Engle and or human rights in Africa? Beyond altruistic moral considerations, Lou Engle is a leader in a rising sector of Christianity that’s beginning to reshape right-wing politics in America." The influence of Engle and his ilk on Sarah Palin and a host of other Republicans is frightening, and should be a wake up call about the insidious influence of the ultra-right-wing NAR.

Palingates was quick in announcing Lisa Murkowski’s write-in campaign. Sarah Palin wrote a very strange tweet about it: "My advice for Lisa is the same for anyone who sees a grizzly in the woods. DON'T RUN." Tweeted by Orora 9/17/10 5:28 pm

Comments of the Week

Starting with a few from last week…

H/T to FreeTrig for coining Twitler!

Ella: The people promoting peace and tolerance are the haters in her skewed world.

Jane: So she says the soldiers are protecting the protestor's rights, but the protestor got kicked out? hmmmm....

MadamDeal: Every time Miss Wasilla lies everyone should tweet: You Lie! I'm gonna tell Glenn on you!

JCos: Maybe they postponed the 'big announcement' when they saw there were fewer people there… than I had at my last yard sale. Mind you, we were both selling junk.

Silver_desert: If Sarah truly believed the message she keeps delivering and has the faith in God she says she has, then she'd have no reason to fear the media. She fears them because she's a fake who has built her message on one lie after another.

Jodman01us: Lesson to be learned, Sarah, don't talk about your children and neither will the press!

SickntiredofPalin: ...it is a beautiful "9/11 sky" today here...I will never forget, but I am not afraid to fly. Thank you *Palingates for spreading awareness and exposing the evil puppets and their puppeteers. And to President Obama--Thank you for all you do. I'm still optimistic about tomorrow. Yes, we can!

Sjef: Guys, what is going on in America? …I'm watching from across the Atlantic and…it looks like the lunatics have taken over the asylum. I hope things don't spiral out of control…My husband and I listen to a lot of American talk radio and some of it is just nuts…The hatred seems so intense…I appreciate this blog so much for keeping up the work, you people are the real patriots, not these violent grifters and charlatans trying to hijack your country. I hope sanity prevails in November and 2012. We'll see.

Patrick found this excellent comment from FireDogLake: She’s the most uncannily aware false complainer about being a victim in the history of American politics. She’s also the most profoundly sick pathological liar to be allowed first rank access to the American political scene in our country’s history. She’s also the biggest, most lame political joke of the 21st century. But, more importantly, she attempted to kill her unborn son. Unless she faked the pregnancy of TriG, her actions during the second and third trimester of her most recent pregnancy point toward a person who did everything in her power, short of abortion, to create a miscarriage and the death of her potential child. (Note: This comment was left by Phil Munger under his pen-name Edward Teller on Firedoglake. You can read all posts by "Edward Teller" on Firedoglake HERE).

Ontohertricks: Bumper sticker: Voting republican or Tea Party is voting for mental illness.

Wayofpeace (quoting HuffPo): “The GOP, its own strategists admit, is undergoing something akin to an identity crisis.” LOL, you think?

Mrs TBB: I had entirely forgotten that David Koch ran for VP on the Libertarian Party ticket in 1980. Obviously, he didn't get far… [BBT: if you can’t beat ‘em, buy ‘em] And H/T to

marieke02 for naming him (and his brother) Kochtopus!

Krbmjb05: I definitely see the humor behind this, but I'm also VERY disturbed that unbalanced people like Christine, Sharon, Joe Miller can get the votes. THIS I don't find funny at all. We definitely won't be laughing if these nutbars bring more crazy and chaos into our political system (congress/senate).

JCos: Consider this; if these people gained power, they could destroy the economy, engage the nation in needless wars and start murdering and torturing innocent people. Oops, I just described the Bush years.

Wayofpeace (from comment at Malia Litman’s blog): I can tell you that witnesses in Afognak during filming of one of the “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” episodes said the whole episode was faked. Upon arriving to the boat that would take Palin and crew out, she noticed a Hispanic man in the boat. She refused to get in. She said she could NOT afford to be photographed with a man who may be an “illegal.” He told he that he was the OWNER of the boat and that he was a thrid generation Alaskan. During the fishing sequence, it bcame evident that Palin did not know how to operate the reel. It was so bad that for the close up shots, they had to use a stand in “double.” Palin later said that the reson she could not operate the reel was that she had a fresh manicure and did not want to ruin it. At some point Palin flipped over the side of the boat in the water. As she was being drug back into the boat she called the man a “Pr_ck” and many other 4 letter words.

WheresMyJammies: There is no danger in electing a woman who faked a pregnancy. No danger in electing a woman who pretends to be a mama grizzly. No danger in the pretense of being a hunter. But EVERY reason to be alarmed about her religious beliefs, her agenda, and the people behind her. For me, this is the whole reason to research and expose her. All the 'gates' are symptoms and behaviors of who she really is.

Lidia17, ArmchairJane, marieke02 and others posted (Friday evening) on the increasingly common attempts to splinter established Christian congregations. The wedge issues include homosexuality, women clergy and “not following scripture.”

CR46: You know I have always thought of myself very tolerant of other religious belief systems and have enjoyed reading up on them. But geez maybe we should just ban all these middle eastern religions like christianity.

Honestyingov had some excellent suggestions (late Friday) on how to build a stronger coalition of groups exposing and opposing Palin’s hateful politics.

Many ‘Gaters agree with marieke02’s comment to Patrick: I keep up with pretty much all of the anti-Palin blogs and bloggers, and…this is by far the best, in terms of numbers, data, commenter-effort and just-plain-wonderful-community. And you've built it and give I can't imagine how many hours/day to keep it thriving.

ProChoiceGrandma: Is there a Pulitzer category for blogs?? There should be, and Palingates would deserve it.

I agree with Patrick: It's actually quite interesting that Christine O'Donnell, although she is batshit-crazy, has no hesitation to go on the "other" networks. Quite a difference to good ole Sarah! COD makes Sarah look like a coward. I like it - but that's the only positive thing I will ever say about COD.

Kevin: I find it very hypocritical that these individuals want the federal government out of their states' governments but they have no problem getting other states' residents and politicians involved in their local politics...

Maelewis: …Sarah really does hunt. She scours the country for speaking opportunities and cheap political appearances. She hunts for bargains…and…hunts through the black plastic bags stuffed in Chuck Heath's basement…She is constantly on the prowl for money making opportunities…she stalks neighbors and Alaskan citizens who speak out against her and she…attack[s]…any one who would criticize her. She has blood under her fingernails, but it's not from caribou. It's from the last person who dared to speak out against her…She shoots to kill, and then reloads and shoots 'em again. Dead men tell no tales.

Honestyingov: Bill brought up the fact that McKinnon was part of that team that prepped WGE for the VP Biden debates. He brought up how He gave her all those books to study to prep for it and she preferred to read emails from her ' Prayer Warriors '... this was her way of prepping. Paraphrasing...Bill asked " What did you think of that ?"... her not studying and relying on prayers.
He answered...After His debate prep, he said a few prayers as well.

Joe Christmas: My wife had it on CSpan radio today and I overheard her tell a story about WWII. She said one of our troop transports was attacked by a nazi YOUTUBE boat.
PurpleAlaska found this gem: "If I had a dime for every time $P gave a new speech, I'd have a dime."

Wayofpeace: no one is safe within a mile of SARAH this morning: cans of tuna are flying…the NEWBIE from DELAWARE is UPSTAGING her 'highness'... is being called SP 2.0 by RACHEL, and praised by having the COJONES to be interviewed by the real news networks (by fox no less).

Jcinco: comment over at mudflats in Open thread that cousin of mark begich, leslie andrews, says bristle smoking, drinking partying at palin cabin & very, very pg in 2007.

Aview999 quoting Daily Beast: "I am afraid very afraid of people like you! Who have been so thoughly brain washed by the right wing you no longer have the ability to reason like a normal human being. And you are out there voting for fools like this. Joseph Goebbels would be proud of the bang up job Fox News has done with people like you! You wonder what happened to Germany in the 30's take a look at yourself.

Aview999 had an excellent long comment: YOU KNOW YOU'RE A REPUBLIBAGGER WHEN...

You didn't get mad when:
* SCOTUS stopped a legal recount and appointed a President
* Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate energy policy
* A covert CIA operative got outed
* The Patriot Act got passed
* We illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us
* We spent over 1 trillion(and counting) on on illegal war
* 10 billion dollars just disappeared in Iraq.
* You saw the Abu Grahib photos.
* You found out we were t.orturing people.

* You saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.
* We let a major US city drown!
* The deficit hit the Trillion dollar mark.

You finally got mad when :

* The government tried to create jobs ( and did! )

Republibaggers ...Hypocrisy art thou ...

And to wrap up, some poetry from Sunnyjane:

Into the poison'd entrails throw:

Fillet of a slaughtered moose
In the caldron of bloody juice;
Eye of Newt and toe of Toad,
Gleaned from Palin’s red abode.

Add some Engle and some screech
Torn from the witch’s latest speech.
For a charm against the press.
Who give the witch an awful stress.

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.

Sarah Palin at a fundraiser for Rand Paul in Louisville, Kentucky: Changing her pregnancy story AGAIN - and running from the media!

Sarah Palin currently tours the country and tries to stimulate one Republican audience after another. On Thursday, September 16, she gave a speech at a lavish fundraiser for Rand Paul in Louisville, Kentucky. Thankfully, the owner of the Kentucky blog "Barefoot and Progressive" visited this event and wrote a brilliant report about it, together with several incredibly interesting video clips. We always love to view Sarah "uncut", without the filter of the evil media! ;-)

For reasons only known to Sarah herself, she again retold in greater depth her famous pregnancy story in this speech. Our friend from "Barefoot and Progressive" remarked that Sarah spoke "to the National Quartet Convention in front of several thousand elderly white people about God and Trig Palin."

Viewing the clip, one detail immediately sprung to mind: Sarah Palin changed her pregnancy story AGAIN!

Please take a look at this clip from this speech in Louisville on Thursday:

From 0:50, she starts to talk about her ultrasound examination at 12 weeks, which she has also told in detail in "Going Rogue" and a few previous speeches.

However, one detail suddenly changed: The "ultrasound technician" who in the past reportedly made the "the neck looks a bit thicker" remark suddenly, magically transforms into a "doctor!"

Well - many people have commented, also here on Palingates, that the story with the "ultrasound technician" is not really credible, because a technician wouldn't be permitted to make such remarks, but here we are - "Going Rogue", page 175:

Ultrasound technician

Here on Palingates we have closely followed the "creation" of the ultrasound story.

In November 2009, we published a comprehensive post about Sarah's changing pregnancy story, after she had introduced the "ultrasound examination" and the "ultrasound technician" for the first time in a speech in Wisconsin. In previous accounts about her famous pregnancy, including the biography "Trailblazer" by Lorenzo Benet, who interviewed Sarah Palin for the book, no ultrasound examination had ever been mentioned, just the equally implausible "amniocentesis at 12 weeks."

In addition, we wrote in April 2010 about the fact that just a few days before Sarah announced her pregnancy on March 5, 2008, she watched the movie "Juno" together with Todd in the cinema - a tale about a teenager happily giving up her baby for adoption. In this movie, as we reported in April, there is also a memorable scene in which an "ultrasound technician" appears (click for video). Inspiration for Sarah?

Knowing for a long time already from a broad variety of sources that Sarah Palin faked her pregnancy with Trig, these questions are more of "academic" nature for us. However, I do hope that other people who have been hesitant to write about the pregnancy story will look closely at these inconsistencies and start to look at other facts of Sarah Palin's "pregnancy" in greater detail as well (see our summary).

"Barefoot and Progressive" posted a variety of other interesting clips of Sarah from this event. Here she is talking about the new brand of "conservative feminists" she loves to embrace:

There is one group of women who is the "face" of these "conservative feminists": Amy Siskind's "New Agenda", who herself has written countless highly supportive articles about Sarah Palin in the past. The "New Agenda" is also closely connected with the group of Palin-fans in NOW.

The New Agenda just published a new video, apparently the first in a sequence of new clips, in which they oh-so-cleverly include Sarah Palin - a subliminal "masterpiece", isn't it just:

Here is a recent blog post at the "New Agenda": "The Rise of Conservative Feminism & a Call for United Sisterhood."

Back to the speech in Louisville:

Interesting also the remarks about Christine O'Donnell and Karl Rove:

Finally, our friend from "Barefoot and Progressive" has a special treat for us: Sarah spots journalists and turns around immediately:

The explanation in "Barefoot and Progressive" about this scene:

"At the Crown Plaza Rand/Palin fundraiser, no media was allowed inside, so various Louisville media were milling around outside hoping to get a quote from anybody as they arrived or left. Andy Barr and Phil Moffett showed up, but the person most in style was David Williams, carrying a beautiful purse with him. It wasn't even a murse, a real purse. After the event, Sarah Palin walked down the stairs directly into the gathering of librul gotcha media. And then this happened (clip).

Abort, abort! The look on Joe Gerth's face is rather priceless. Also, I didn't recognize her at the time because she wasn't buck ass nekid wrapped in a Gadsden flag, but that's Rand Paul's assistant campaign manager Nena Bartlett (click HERE for the picture of her being wrapped naked in the flag - P.) wondering why they wouldn't let Sarah face the demon libruls."

Good ole Sarah in action. She never disappoints! ;-)

Many thanks to "Barefoot and Progressive" for the excellent reporting!

Sarah Palin prays! Really, she does! She truly is Queen Esther! Halleluja! Halleluja!

UPDATE:

Karl Rove's positions are getting more and more attention.

Is he working against Christine O'Donnell - and maybe secretly even against Sarah Palin, who recently criticized Karl Rove?

Here is Karl Rove today on Fox News Sunday, discussing the right "winning strategy", Christine O'Donnell, Lisa Murkowski and Sarah Palin:

UPDATE 2:

ProChoiceGrandma found the following clip, which includes some passages from Palin's speech in Kentucky we hadn't seen so far:

Sarah Palin says in this clip:

“Seven months. But in Alaska not difficult, it’s freezing cold, you’re just puttin’ on more and more layers, lots of fleece. I know that uh my cabinet, my staff, they were being very gracious to me and not commenting on me really chunking up, they just thought are you really that cold Governor, can we turn up the heat for you, do you really need another coat on today? I just didn’t want, it was one of the reasons too I didn’t tell anybody, just wasn’t ready to announce to our state, to the world, about this challenge that I thought I may not be able to handle, to get my arms wrapped around, so 7 months, finally I start telling people I’m pregnant. And then, Trig came so early, he came at 7 ½ months that people still to this day, those internet bloggers, we call them the “Trig Truthers”, they still don’t believe that this is my child because they say she was only pregnant for 3 weeks.”

This astonishing statement is apparently meant to muddy the waters even more. No need to calculate like mad ;-) When Palin announced her pregnancy on March 5, 2008, she not only didn't look pregnant at all, but she said that "said she's already about seven months along, with the baby due to arrive in mid-May." So how can she now say that the baby, which was officially born 5 weeks later, on April 18, 2008, came at "7 1/2 months?"

Nice of her that she mentions the Trig Truthers. However, she got something wrong there:

We do not "BELIEVE" that Sarah Palin hasn't given birth to Trig, we KNOW that she hasn't given birth to Trig.

Nobody should think that it will be possible to keep this a secret forever. Not even Sarah Palin
