9/11 rally with Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin in Anchorage: Reports, pictures and videos from the events - UPDATE: Heckler-video added!

The most politically charged 9/11 ever has started (thanks to crybabies Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck) - and Sarah Palin made a "surprise visit" to the rally in Wasilla earlier today, as Alaska Dispatch reports.

Here is the video, showing Sarah Palin speaking and answering questions:

No way that there were 300 people attending in Wasilla like the Palinbots at C4P reported - certainly not more than 100-150 people:

However, Palingates has boots on the ground in Alaska today as well!

We can already show you a short clip with images of protest signs which were specifically made for the protests in Anchorage today. I think the signs are very, very clever:

Sarah Palin - Twitler

Our brilliant Palingater "FreeTrig" today created name "Twitler" for Sarah! :-)

We should submit it to the Urban dictionary - "a tweeting fascist, e.g. 'sarahpalinusa'"

Alaska Dispatch has a very good report about Palin's and Beck's speeches.

Some highlights:

Reading from a polished script, Palin opened the show in her now familiar Minnesota twang. She referenced meeting Beck in New York in the shadow of Lady Liberty -- a monument given to the United State by France, she said, as "a gift to warn us against socialism.''

Palin continued, referencing her touchstone president, Ronald Reagan, in almost biblical terms: "and then Reagan said" and warning that "freedom is not free; freedom is worth fighting for.''

That set the stage for the arrival of freedom-fighter Beck. Palin introduced him as a regular victim of the "leftist media elite,'' but added "he's not retreating; he's reloading.''

and

There was a dose of that Saturday night, too. Beck and Palin got briefly heckled, called hypocrites, which led to a Palin shout-out to former Anchorage talk-show host Eddie Burke, a failed candidate for Alaska lieutenant governor --who she strangely enough refused to endorse during the campaign -- after he apparently intervened to help grab the heckler early in the show.

"God bless you,'' Beck said to the heckler. And Palin chimed in that her son, Track, who has served in Iraq, was protecting the woman's right to protest, although protection of free speech in America was never one of the reasons former president George W. Bush cited for invading the Middle Eastern country.

The audience didn't seem to mind. They were all with Palin when the dissenter was hauled away.

"Eddie Burke,'' Palin said. "Eddie Burke, hey!''

The crowd applauded.

Beck then said, "It's like a high school classroom in here." And there was applause.

Note by Patrick: Eddie Burke's "approving acknowledgement" of Adolf Hitler's ruthless killing spree amongst liberals, socialist and communist after Hitler came to power always heavily irritated me. Some see Eddie Burke just as a big right-wing Alaskan teddy bear, but I can't, for obvious reasons:

UPDATE:

AKMuckraker Jeanne Devon published an extensive report about Sarah Palin's 9/11 appearance in Wasilla at Huffington Post, together with an excellent video - the raw, unfiltered Palin:

Wonkette published a hilarious report about the event in Anchorage!

UPDATE 2:

The heckling video from the 9/11 event in Anchorage has surfaced!

The woman shouts: "You are hypocrites, both of you , hypocrites!"

Then Palin responds, saying that "my son and his soldier buddies standing over here, they are protecting your right to say things like this!"

THEN, wingnut talkshow host Eddie Burke immediately removes the woman from the audience, and Sarah Palin thanks him for that!

So Sarah Palin proved instantly that she IS a hypocrite, because she has no interest in freedom of speech whatsoever.

This youtube user also uploaded another short clip from this event in Anchorage on 9/11, in which Glenn Beck holds his monologue and tries to ridicule people who have in his opinion not accurately reported about him and/or about the facts regarding his 9/11 "Restoring Honor" rally.

Talking about heckling:

Here is the comparison to an earlier event, a rally for John McCain on March 27, 2010, at which Sarah Palin was also heckled (click for more details) - at the end, she says something very similar, pointing out that John McCain fought in Vietnam apparently in efforts to defend the constitution and "the right to protest":

This protester was then also immediately very forcibly removed, and Sarah Palin seemed to be very satisfied with this action.

In addition:

Here is another heckling incident from the Presidential campaign, and Sarah Palin responded in exactly the same way like she did yesterday in Anchorage and said: "My son down there in Iraq is fighting for your right to protest!"

UPDATE 3:

A new, much longer clip from Sarah Palin's speech on 9/11 in Anchorage has surfaced. This is also relevant for this post, as it contains HEAVY media bashing, see for example from around the 7:00 mark: "I can tell you, folks: It is a brutal leftist dominated lamestream media world our there - what would we do without Fox News, by the way?"

This youtube-user also uploaded another long clip from this event with Glenn Beck's speech, 14 1/2 minutes long - click here.

"9/11" - The documentary by the Naudet brothers

In my view, there is no better documentary to revisit than the award-winning "9/11" by the Naudet brothers. I still remember when I watched it the first time. It is one of those powerful documentaries you will never forget.

Filmmakers James Hanlon and the Naudet brothers were originally filming Tony Benetatos, a probationary firefighter, on the New York City Fire Department assigned to Ladder 1 on Duane Street with the intention of making a film about the "probie's" experience. On the morning of September 11, Battalion 1 was called out on a gas leak, Jules rides with the Battalion Chief, Chief Joseph Pfeifer, to check it out

Sarah Palin in control

EyeOnYou found some nice information regarding Sarah Palin's Facebook page and it came from a good source, a Palin fansite...

"We now have confirmation that Sarah Palin monitors what is stated in the comments section of her facebook page.

Thank You C4P for this tidy bit of information:

Governor Palin is clearly on top of the situation and paying close attention to what is being plastered in the comments section of her Facebook page. She responded:

Just so we are clear, Sarah Palin actively monitors her facebook page and responds quickly when something appears that she does not like or finds herself not in agreement with.

I think we now have ample evidence that Sarah Palin was actively encouraging the harassment of Local Alaskan Judges on the ruling in her daughters court custody case which also prove Bristol was wrong to claim her mother was not involved in this case. We can also infer that since it was reported that death threats were made against these judges, and they now require full time protection due to the threats received from Sarah's fan's, that these threats were also made with Sarah's blessing since she allowed the originator's of the protest to actively post their solicitation for participation on Sarah's facebook page numerous times.

I hope that Rex Butler and any other attorney working for Levi in his custody case are paying attention and taking notes on this information as it will come in handy when showing them exactly what the Palin family is like and how quickly they are to attempt to manipulate the laws and decisions of judges when the rulings are not as they wish them to be.

She posted quickly about the "racist comments" and quickly decried that behavior as unacceptable on her facebook page. She made a point of saying that her page would not be a forum for that type of behavior.

With the solicitation of protesters nothing was said. The comments were posted numerous times over the course of several days by the originators of the protest and they were left in place with no comment from Sarah.

We know that anything that is considered unacceptable by Sarah (and her moderators who are acting on her behalf as it is her page, with her name, notes posted are signed by her) is quickly deleted and the commenter banned. They have gone so far as to ban supporters.

This is clear evidence that anything that stays enjoys her support. Since the protest solicitiation was not a single posted comment but several of them over the course of days, it should be clear that she was supportive of this protest, which ended up in threats being made to the judges."

The protesters have posted a disclaimer on the protest page.

The campaign of telephone and e-mail harassement is ongoing and runs until May 7, 2010.

The protest had 213 "guests" on January 19, 2010.

Alicia Fix and Dave Smith appear to follow the blogs and must have read the posts associating Sarah Palin to their protest via her silence, so they posted a disclaimer. That's to no avail, as we now have confirmation that Sarah Palin actively monitors the comments on her Facebook page. Her silence speaks louder than any disclaimer aimed at damage control...

The judges conducting the Bristol v Levi case are under threat, thanks to Alicia Fix, Dave Smith and their misguided 213 followers. The judges are under threat thanks to Sarah Palin's silence.

Will Sarah Palin stay silent until somebody gets killed?

Trig Truthers out in the cold protesting in Fairfax, Virginia against Sarah Palin (Pictures & Video)

Trig Truthers are not silent anymore! Our readers Virgina Voter, Mrs Tarquinbiscuitbarrel, ProChoiceGrandma and another protestor decided that it's finally time to go out - in the cold! When Sarah Palin today had her book signing in Fairfax, Virginia, the small, but distinguished group of Trig Truthers made a stand in freezing weather. They were banished to a "free speech zone" at the back of the parking lot, which was assigned to them, about 400 yards away from Palin's excited fans who were waiting for Queen Sarah aka "Governor" aka "Bible Spice".

By the way, the "Governor without a state" decided to follow a rather unusual dress code today ...

...and regarded the current snowfall in the USA as a sign from God that global warming has to be a liberal conspiracy, as she let us know via twitter:

But back to our brave group of Trig Truthers:

They had some very original signs with them, and Regina and I are very happy that "palingates" received an honorable mention on the signs, as well as Bree Palin's blog.

I spoke to ProChoiceGrandma on the phone today and she explained that they were approached by several media outlets during the protest, for example Washington Post, Talking Points Memo and United Press International. According to her, there were about 500-750 Palin fans. In addition, ProChoiceGrandma wrote:

"No bus. Sarah apparently went in through the back of the store. I never checked to see if there was a landing strip behind the store for her jet.

I had trouble finding Virginia Voter and Mrs. TarquinBisquitBarrel at first, as the "free speech" area had been roped off about a football field's distance from the Palin fans. For OUR safety, I presume! I wonder if someone was being thoughtful or insulting to delegate the protest section near the Don's Jon's. Kind of them, but no thank you!

I arrived when the fellow, Adam something from Talking Points Memo, was interviewing Mrs. TBB.

We got some boo's, and some "we're praying for you", but some people gave us thumbs up and signs of support.

No Going Rogue bus, no rope line...Sarah entered from the back of the store. Lots of out of town plates, and the typical Sarah crowd. All in all, it looked like maybe 500-750 people. Not a whole lot. "

ProChoiceGrandma also sent me a video of the protest in which we catch the last part of the conversation with the guy from Talking Points Memo:

Unfortunately, word hasn't gotten round to the left-wing Talking Points Memo yet that the Trig Truthers are NOT following some nut-job conspiracy, because what TPM wrote today was not too flattering:

"Four anti-Palin protestors were there, shunned to a "free speech zone" about 400 yards from the crowd waiting to meet Palin outside BJ's Wholesale. Two were Trig doubters, showing off what they said was evidence that Palin isn't the birth mother of the youngest member of the Palin clan. There was a decided tea partyesque vibe to their conspiracy rhetoric. "Why is the media afraid to report this story?" one asked. Had they been talking about ACORN, they would have been right at home on the national mall last 9/12.

The other two protestors were just generally upset by the whole proceeding unfolding around them. They said they thought they had dealt with her last year and didn't like having to do it again. "Virginia voted to send Sarah back to Alaska," one said. "I wanted to make sure she got that message when she came out here today." Neither pair could figure out what to do with Palin. They called her "dangerous" and claimed she appealed to the ugliest side of American conservatism. But they acknowledged her star power and seemingly limitless appeal to her base. They thought Palin was more than just a passing fad, but they couldn't see a world in which Democrats could reach out to the voters Palin energizes."

Here are more pictures of the protest in the cold, first picture courtesy of our reader Virgina Voter, the others courtesy of ProChoiceGrandma. I especially like the poster which refers to Sarah Palins "wite out miscarriage" (click to enlarge):

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all participants, and I do hope that this protest will inspire more protests in the future!
