The facts about Sarah Palin's flights - New information shows original statement by Harper Collins was false! - UPDATE: SARAH PALIN REACTS ON FACEBOOK

+++

UPDATE: SARAH PALIN REACTS ON FACEOOK, MENTIONS THE FAKE PREGNANCY ALLEGATIONS AND TAKES A STAB AT PALINGATES!

I absolutely knew that this would happen. Sarah Palin is just too predictable.

Sarah, I have a message for you:

You are liar and a fraud who has not only faked a pregnancy while being a Governor and then used the child constantly as a prop, but you are also severely mentally disturbed and should have no place in politics.

By the way, we are still waiting for the letter from your lawyer, for over a year now! Has it gone into the spam-folder?

Sarah, if you have nothing to hide about your "bus tour": Can you tell me why Harper Collins distorted the reality of your trip yesterday in a statement? (see below!)

Hey Sarah, now we have a conversation going!

Sarah, I would like to show you so many things - what about this clip - say hello to Michael Carey:

More will follow! ;-)

Well, here is more (click to enlarge):

Sarah wrote today on her facebook:

"Media's Priorities Shine Bright, Again! :)

It’s really comical at this point! Despite all of the important events happening in the world today – the president’s speech tonight on the strategy in Afghanistan, the Senate debate over health care reform, the disturbing details of the “Climategate” scandal, the continuing challenges facing the world economy – the media is concerned about my travel and lodging arrangements on my book tour?! Does this sound familiar? It should. The media showed the same out-of-proportion obsession with my personal arrangements, clothes, and hairstyles last year instead of focusing on the crucial issues involving the election.

So what is this news “story”? That I fly on an airplane to complete some of the stops on my book tour when it’s impractical or physically impossible to reach the next event on time by bus. Some news outlets are behaving as if my travel was a secret that they didn’t know about – despite the fact that I’ve tweeted about my flights and at least one local newspaper reported on the arrival of my flight into Rochester, NY. What’s even funnier is that these same media outlets think it’s shocking that we stay in hotels. I guess they expected us to pitch a tent alongside the road. We love the great outdoors, but such an arrangement is hardly practical for a book tour. Using common sense, it was determined that traveling by plane between some stops would save time and energy and allow me to go to more events. Economically speaking for HarperCollins, it’s more efficient to travel by charter, and I am very grateful to the publisher for providing my family and me with this incredible opportunity to shake hands with as many Americans as possible on this book tour.

If you’re scratching your head wondering why my flight and hotel logistics warrant news coverage, join the club. They can, of course, report on whatever they like, but in my opinion CBS loses whatever professional integrity it still has when it links in its report to a website devoted to the bizarre conspiracy theory that I’m not the real mother of my son Trig.

I’m truly humbled by the response to my book tour by everyday Americans, and if traveling by plane means that I can meet more of these wonderful people, I’ll travel by plane (or bus or train or canoe or dog sled or whatever it takes). Please enjoy the photos below!

- Sarah Palin"

Start of original post:

When I was nearing the end of this blog post, CNN reported that in contrast to the original statement by Harper Collins, Jason Rechter, an aide to Sarah Palin, had now admitted that Sarah Palin actually was present on five flights with the hired Gulfstream plane during the book tour (not counting the flight back to Tri-Cities for Thanksgiving, which would have been the sixth flight!).

The premise of this post was to prove that the original statement which was given by Tina Andreadis of Harper Collins was wrong – she had confirmed yesterday that Sarah used the Gulfstream plane only on three occasions during the book tour, which was a factually wrong statement.

The original statement by Harper Collins as reported by theplumline.com:

"Tina Andreadis, a spokesperson for Palin publisher HarperCollins, confirmed to me that Palin did in fact take three plane trips by privately chartered jet, flying to stops in Michigan, Rochester, NY, and Birmingham, AL."

Therefore, the post has now been overtaken by the events, but I will still publish it in order to show the exact extent of the travel. Furthermore, I still cannot understand why Harper Collins decided yesterday to release a false statement (after they first announced that they would not comment on the "logistics" of the bus tour at all!).

CNN reported today:

"An aide to Sarah Palin downplayed reports Tuesday about the former Alaska governor's use of a private jet during certain legs of a national bus tour to promote her memoir, "Going Rogue."

While it's not unusual for political figures to fly from state to state before hopping on a bus to head to events, Palin is taking heat for using a private jet for some of her travels, with one report claiming that the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee flew in style while leaving her staff behind to ride the bus during long journeys.

But Jason Recher, who is traveling with Palin and coordinating logistics for the tour, said that's not true.

Palin was joined by her family and a handful of staffers on each flight leg, said Recher, who noted that the jet was paid for by Palin's publisher, Harper Collins. He said the publisher originally wanted all of the book tour travel to be by plane, but Palin lobbied for a bus tour.

The private jet transported the Palin entourage for several legs of the tour, including from New York City to Grand Rapids, Michigan for the beginning of the tour last month. The bus then took them to book signings in Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania before the group boarded the plane to Rochester, New York. The private plane was also used for flights from Rochester to Roanoke, Virginia; from Fayetteville, North Carolina to Birmingham, Alabama; and from Birmingham to Jacksonville, Florida.

Palin also took to the skies to visit with Billy and Franklin Graham in Montreat, North Carolina on November 22, but not on Harper Collins' dime. Instead, she was picked up in Roanoke on Franklin Graham's provate plane and flown to Billy Graham's mountaintop home. That plane took Palin on to Fayetteville after the private visit.

Recher calculated that Palin and the people traveling with her spent about 24 hours total on board the "Going Rogue" bus during the first seven days of the book tour.
"

THE GENERAL PROBLEM, IN SHORT:

"The tour will last about three weeks, with a break for Thanksgiving, and will end around Dec. 10, after which the increase in holiday shoppers makes it difficult for stores to hold events, Andreadis said. Palin will travel by bus for much of the time, likely accompanied by family and by aide Meg Stapleton."

In contrast:

"(Sarah Palin's aide) Recher calculated that Palin and the people traveling with her spent about 24 hours total on board the "Going Rogue" bus during the first seven days of the book tour."

However, in seven days, according to CNN, she only spent 24 hours in the bus! The rest of the transport was done by private plane. That qualifies as a "road trip"?

Please also note that Harper Collins have still not corrected themselves about the number of the flights!

Here is my post about the facts of the book tour:

The complete flight log of the plane (click to enlarge):

FIRST FLIGHT:

November 18: Teterboro – Westchester County
Departure 8:32 AM EST
Arrival 8:45 AM EST

THE FACTS:

Sarah did an interview with Barbara Walters on November 17, 2009 in New York.

I don’t think that Sarah was on the plane when it flew from Teterboro to Westchester County on the morning of November 18. I have spoken to somebody who knows both airports and I am convinced that she boarded the plane at Westchester County airport, which is an airport which allows much greater privacy.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was not on this flight.

+++

SECOND FLIGHT:

November 18: Westchester County – Gerald Ford International, Grand Rapids, MI.
Departure 12:06 PM EST
Arrival 01:22 PM EST

THE FACTS:

Sarah Palin had a book signing in the evening of November 18 at Barnes & Nobles in Grand Rapids, MI. It is undisputed that she took her private plane to Grand Rapids.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was definitely on this flight (COUNT: SARAH FLIGHT NO 1)

+++

THIRD FLIGHT:

November 18: Gerald R. Ford International, MI – Washington County Airport PA
Departure: 3:11 PM EST
Arrival: 4:00 PM EST

THE FACTS:

Sarah Palin had no more book signings on November 18, after the one in Grand Rapids, MI. She had two books signings in Indiana on November 19. Therefore the plane just flew to Washington County airport without her in order to pick her up again on November 21.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was not on this flight.

+++

FOURTH FLIGHT:

November 21: Washington County WA – Greater Rochester International NY
Departure: 3:24 PM EST
Arrival: 3:56 PM EST

THE FACTS:

Sarah Palin had her first book signing on November 21 at 11:00 AM at the Sam's Club in Washington, PA. She then took the plane to Rochester NY, where she had another book signing at 6:00 PM. This flight is undisputed.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was definitely on this flight (COUNT: SARAH FLIGHT NO 2)

+++

FIFTH FLIGHT:

November 21: Greater Rochester International NY – Roanoke Regional VA
Departure: 9:43 PM EST
Arrival: 10:38 PM EST

THE FACTS:

On November 22, Governor Palin had an 11:00 AM book signing at the Barnes & Noble in Roanoke, VA followed by dinner with the Rev. Billy Graham later that day at his home in Montreat, NC (to which she used a plane provided by “Samaritan Purse”).

This flight was not mentioned in the “three stops” that Harper Collins had admitted. This is inexplicable. Sarah Palin herself twittered on the morning of November 21:

"Landed in VA/swung by overnight campers to say "thx & we'll see u again tmorrw!" Reminiscent of Alaskan camping trips-slash-tailgate parties"

Therefore Sarah Palin admitted herself that she was on this flight, which is entirely consistent with the flight log. The conclusion is therefore inevitable that the statement by Harper Collins as reported by Greg Sargent at theplumline.com is FALSE, because the flight to VA is omitted in the statement.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was definitely on this flight (COUNT: SARAH FLIGHT NO 3) - NOW FINALLY CONFIRMED BY CNN!

+++

SIXTH FLIGHT:

November 21: Roanoke Regional VA – Fayetteville Regional NC
Departure: 11:43 PM EST
Arrival: 12:00 PM EST

THE FACTS:

The plane flew without Sarah Palin, who had her book signing at Fort Bragg, NC, which is just next to Fayetteville Regional, NC, only on November 23 at 11:00 AM. The plane waited for Sarah at Fayetteville Regional from November 21 – November 23.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was not on this flight.

+++

SEVENTH FLIGHT:

November 23: Fayetteville Regional NC – Birmingham Shuttlesworth AL
Departure: 3:40 PM EST
Arrival: 3:47 PM CST

THE FACTS:

This trip is undisputed. Harper Collins acknowledges that she was on the plane.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was definitely on this flight (COUNT: SARAH FLIGHT NO 4)

+++

EIGHTH FLIGHT:

November 23: Birmingham Shuttlesworth AL – Jacksonville International FL
Departure: 8:12 PM CST
Arrival: 10:09 PM EST

THE FACTS:

On the day before, on November 23, she started her last book signing at the Books-A-Million store in Birmingham at 4:30 PM.

On November 24, Sarah Palin had a busy day in Florida. She had three book signings. Her first book signing was at the Books-A-Million in Jacksonville at 9:00 AM.

Again, it is inexplicable that Harper Collins has omitted this flight in their statement.

In theory it’s possible that Sarah Palin could have taken the bus from Birmingam AL to Jacksonville FL. The map shows that the journey would have taken at least 7 ½ hours, therefore it would be “do-able” over night.

However, it seems extremely unlikely that this was the case. Sarah’s plane took off about one hour after her last book-signing in Birmingham had finished – should we really believe that it went without her and that Sarah instead preferred a long bus tour overnight, which she knew would be followed the next day by a gruelling bus tour through Florida with three stops on November 24 (Jacksonville, The Villages, Orlando). I don’t think so!

As I had noted in a previous post, even C4P believed that she took the plane to Jacksonville, in their article in which they showed their outrage about this “faux scandal”.

It defies all rules of logic to believe that Sarah was not on this plane, and it’s also not consistent with the overall pattern of the flights during this book tour. The only “empty” flights up to this point were those ones where she didn’t need to be on the plane. Here, the plane took off about an hour after the book signing was finished and she needed to be in Jacksonville early the next morning. It can safely be concluded that Sarah flew to Jacksonville and spent the night from November 23 to November 24 in a hotel.

There is one extremely interesting point about this trip to Jacksonville:

On the morning of November 24, Sarah Palin had twittered that she was “on bus to Jacksonville”, therefore deliberately setting an impression that she actually travelled to Jacksonville by bus:

The fact that Harper Collins and Sarah Palin were deliberately giving a false impression about the tour, saying right from the start that it would mainly be a bus tour, when in fact it was mainly a plane tour with overnight-stays in hotels, is the reason why we felt it was necessary to expose this behaviour, which was classic Palin style – “Bible Spice” in action.

CONCLUSION:

There can be no reasonable doubt that Sarah was on the flight (COUNT: SARAH FLIGHT NO 5)NOW FINALLY CONFIRMED BY CNN!

+++

NINTH FLIGHT:

November 23: Jacksonville FL – Orlando FL
Departure: 11:01 PM EST
Arrival: 11:25 PM EST

THE FACTS:

It’s clear that this was an empty flight, and that the plane was flying to Orlando in order to pick her up on November 25.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was not on this flight.

+++

TENTH FLIGHT:

November 25: Orlando FL – Tri-Cities WA
Departure: 2:40 PM EST
Arrival: 4:47 PM PST

THE FACTS:

This flight is undisputed, as the media reported her arrival at the airport in Tri-Cities. This event started the whole “planegate” saga, as our reader “snowbilly” found the registration number of the Gulfstream plane in the flight list, and palingates afterwards discovered the complete flight-logs and broke the story, which then went viral, nationally and internationally.

CONCLUSION:

Sarah was on the flight, but this flight arguably was not directly related to the book-tour, because she flew to a private gathering for Thanksgiving in Tri-Cities (where Todd was conspicuously absent, because he apparently had to “fix the roof” in icy-cold weather in Wasilla…).

Word of advice to Harper Collins:

Back to Track, Todd and the gang of God.

Why did Serror fight with her mother in law? Does anyone know why she didn't support her mil? she says in her book something about her mil not sharing her value system or something. Sounds like more BS.

She wrote it off as "I put policy over loyalty" AS IF!! I've never laughed so hard in all my days.

More on Palin's CBS hatefest:

Palin blackballed CBS

November 14, 2009 5:26 pm ET

In her memoir, amidst a long anecdote about the media's trip to Alaska to interview Palin after she announced her resignation as governor, Palin slips in the following tidbit:

"We issued an open invitation for the press (except for CBS)." (Page 380)

Why was CBS banned? Palin doesn't say.

Could it have something to do with the poor reception of Palin's enormous flop-of-an-interview with Katie Couric?

Palin certainly remains unhappy with that interview -

on Page 275, she says Couric's "purpose" had been "to frame a 'gotcha' moment."

I seem to recall that a few weeks ago, when the White House (accurately) said that Fox News is "not a news organization," the right-wing and mainstream media both flipped out.

Everyone suddenly seemed to forget that conservatives spent years attacking media outlets based on groundless complaints of bias.

Those attacks have included boycotts or threatened boycotts of media outlets, efforts to revoke journalists' credentials or ban them from press planes, and even calls to have journalists prosecuted.

And the right-wing media was cheering them along the entire way.

Well, now everyone has another chance.

Here is a right-wing politician admitting flat-out that she banned a media outlet from covering her.

Will the media band together around CBS and defend one of their "sister organizations"?

I won't hold my breath.

Book review: Palin goes rogue on the facts

November 17, 2009
By Max Blumenthal

In August 2008, when then-senator and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said the media had held her under a "sharper microscope" because she was a woman, Sarah Palin rose to condemn her, accusing Clinton of a "perceived whine" that would harm other female political candidates. "I mean, work harder, prove yourself to an even greater degree that you're capable, that you're going to be the best candidate," Palin instructed Clinton.

Almost a year later, Palin quit her job as Alaska governor without any advance warning, blaming her snap decision on "Washington and the media," along with a nebulous band of political operatives who had filed "all sorts of frivolous ethics violations." She added, with no sense of irony, that media double standards had cast a dark cloud over her career. "Though it's honorable for countless others to leave their positions for a higher calling and without finishing a term," Palin claimed in a July statement, "of course we know by now, for some reason a different standard applies for the decisions I make."

Two months before her resignation, the nature of Palin's "higher calling" was becoming evident: a reported multi-million dollar book deal. Now that Going Rogue: An American Life has been released, she will be heading out on a bus tour of midsize cities throughout "Real America."

Going Rogue is an autobiographical account of her political life that culminates with a revisionist history of the 2008 presidential campaign. According to Palin, her most embarrassing moments on the campaign trail, from her disastrous interview with CBS anchor Katie Couric to her expensive shopping sprees, were really the fault of her running mate, Sen. John McCain, his staffers, and her favorite whipping post, the national press corps. Having filled her book with complaints about all the people who lifted her from obscurity and brought her into the national spotlight, Palin nonetheless writes, "I don't like to hear people complain."

Palin's accusations have prompted dismissive responses from former top McCain aides including Steve Schmidt, who slammed her account of the campaign as "total fiction." Though Schmidt was referring specifically to Palin's criticisms of his behavior, like her allegation that he used profane language in the presence of her youngest daughter, he appears to be onto something. (Schmidt should be grateful Palin did not characterize him as harshly as she did Alaska state Sen. Bert Stedman, a rock-ribbed Republican, who she wrongly labeled in Going Rogue as a "Democratic lawmaker.")

Indeed, scoring a kill in an aerial wolf hunt with a helicopter full of cluster munitions would be more challenging than finding the errors, baseless accusations and paranoid statements that riddle the pages of Going Rogue. While politicians routinely resort to spin when the truth becomes inconvenient, Palin has taken misleading to new heights, crafting an autobiography that reads like the literary version of the Balloon Boy hoax. But unlike the boy's publicity starved parents, who momentarily duped America, Palin can't fool anyone. Beginning with her specious claim that Alaskans "don't do" hunts by helicopter, Palin's deceptions were instantly debunked by the crack researchers of Right-Wing Book Watch, a joint project of Media Matters for America and the Progressive Book Club.

It is sort of funny that she chose to single out CBS in her Facebook posting. When she gets something stuck in her craw, well she never lets go! ABC also covered some of her controversies today. Obviously what got to her the most was CBS's link to this site, and her fears about babygate. I think Sarah Palin sticks with what she believes is a clever pre-emptive strategy. She thinks if she talks about an issue herself, others will assume that she has nothing to hide. (There are just so many things she must talk about in order to go with this approach, unfortunately.) And anyway, it doesn't deter people from looking into things, does it, so it's not effective. She'd do far better if she'd ignore things. That's why she doesn't really have what it takes to do a national political campaign. She doesn't have the emotional control one needs. Anyone else think she didn't write that posting herself?

Why is Track, the war hero son never seen with Sarah? There HAS to be a problem with him, otherwise he would be used as a giant prop too. She went to the welcoming home of his unit 6 days AFTER he got a speeding ticket. Yet there's no photos of her with Track. Todd is sitting beside her at the ceremony. Track was nowhere to be found

Yes, IMHO, she will be airbrushing her face/features. Check out some of the pics on her Facebook today- especially the ones where she is pictured from the right hand side, where that huge (MRSA?) bump was. Look closely, and you will see something like airbrushing in that same area!

@ Anon 04:19,
re "Remember when she wanted to challenge him to a race? She's obsessed with him. I kept thinking of that after learning she'd quit the 5 K Turkey Trot, 40 minutes after it started."

I am glad you mentioned that Turkey Trot. I'd been wanting to comment that her stated reason for quitting was that there were crowds waiting at the end that she wanted to avoid. But who was she trying to avoid? Was she afraid of a protest? If not, then it would seem that she is wanting to avoid her own fans, who would be there because she tweeted the night before that she would be doing the run! So obviously the hardcore fans, including people who could not afford to take a whole day off to buy a couple of books and stand in line for hours would be looking to the finish line of the run as an opportunity to see her.

In view of the seemingly obvious conclusion that fans would be waiting at the end (and they were), it seems quite rude and insensitive to quit the race when part of the reason for the crowds is precisely because $P had tweeted in advance that she would be there! Of course, maybe the problem is that she could not figure out a way to get any direct cash benefit from being seen at the finish line. Having just visited Bree Palin's great blog I was floored to see that Palin is now fleecing the sheeple for $15.99 for 5x7 inch assembly line photos, with prices up to $35.99 for an 11x14, which is what you would need if you actually wanted to see any detail. I guess by now no level of tackiness or grifting should surprise me, but considering that these are "regular Americans" that she is just so happy to meet, you would think she'd feel bad about fleecing them this way... Oh, who am I kidding, I am just surprised she didn't think of it sooner!

But hey, if she just let people do their own snapshots, they might get a bad photo of her! Whatever her logic, no wonder that at those rates her Facebook note expresses her desire that "if traveling by plane means that I can meet more of these wonderful people, I’ll travel by plane (or bus or train or canoe or dog sled or whatever it takes)." After all, with rates like that for assembly line photos, it's KA-CHINGGGG, big time!

I encourage people to check it out by following the link in the blog list at the right side of the main page here over to Bree Palin's post "Sarah Palin's Fee Schedule - Found!" for all the details on this newest moneymaking scheme cooked up by $P. You can also find a link to see examples of the photos you can pay so dearly for: it won't be a nice posed shot, it will be a side view of the "signing table" with the line of people as backdrop. Not too special...

As for C4P, I've only starting posting there regularly for a while. I have no disputes with anyone there, as they are all friendly and courteous. But I digress.

You see, Patrick made an argument that sort runs like this. Sarah Palin claimed to be solely on a bus tour. However, she used a plane part of the way during her travels. Therefore, she is a liar!

Where this argument breaks down is that Sarah Palin never said she would travel solely by bus. It just didn't happen. Thus, the argument falls flat (I challenge anyone to prove me wrong). You'll never make any headway, and in a week it will be as if this never happened. No, just give it two days.

Can't remember which blog - it's probably this one but I'm too tired to go back over the comments - had someone saying they just saw Track in Alaska, at home? I don't understand. He just graduated - was that from basic training? Or had he been deployed somewhere already - wasn't he in Iraq? Shouldn't he be waiting for more orders? I am no expert on the sequence of military enlistment and training, etc. I guess I am unclear how long he's been in the military. I do know he is no where near finishing his commitment, right? I think it's usually a 5 - 10 year stint, at least. Please clarify, anyone who knows. Also, there was some talk about Molly being Trig's biological mother, with perhaps Todd as the father? In that case, Trig has her on the road with him and she is definitely one of his caregivers. Is Molly close in age to Sarah, and would she also have been at risk for a DS baby? Btw, a Gryphen commenter spoke about this problem with rape and incest up in Alaska, almost implying it's more prevalent among the indigenous peoples? Is that so? Like a historical cultural phenomenon which still persists.

He did seem to have an inordinate and unusual amount of leave (Track) for our horribly stretched thin troops. I haven't heard that Joe Biden's son was home for every holiday, or racking up speeding tickets before his unit got home, or even that his unit is home, but Biden, much as he talks, sometimes too much, does not seem to talk about his son's military career. It's also quite possible I've missed some mention.
Where the heck is Track now?
No mention of him at Thanksgiving, and you'd certainly think she'd be showing him off, proud as she seems of him in the book, and at every opportunity she has to open her mouth. Yet he is never around.

Track has been home since at least October 2nd

and yes there is a huge problem with rape and incest in Alaska in general, the rates are the highest in the country. It's even worse out in the bush

A professed fiscal conservative and former public official now on a billboard bus carrying prop and plane book tour. I guess since the plane wasn't painted as fancy as that billboard bus, it was meant to be kept at a low key. She's still campaigning, this time for money. Great work, guys!

O/T President Obama gave a very good speech tonight. I would suggest it to all as a MUST SEE. I have heard both positive and negative comments from folks on teevee. I heard a retired General say something like it was refreshing to have an intelligent Commander in Chief.

First off, Patrick, when I said (a few blog entries back) that you referred to Sully as an "unknown blogger" prior to his babygate blogging, I may have actually confused you with something I read on Bree's site. She may have said that, not you. Not important enough for me to go back and check, so there you have it, please accept my apologies.

Secondly, I am so pleased to see Jesse Cornish parsing English incorrectly and getting a lesson in the process from an actual English teacher. Priceless. I knew he would pick up on that and try to run with it. I am pleased as punch he was exposed as the fool he is. Again.

Finally, to Mr. Cornish himself, I would say this: It's a pleasure to see you dance my puppet, you do it so well.

I don't know if I'll be able to get you out on another ledge, but I am sure gonna try. Also, too. HENNGHHH?

You are right- her FB rant is very predictable. She can't let anything go and that will be just one of the things that brings her down.

I think it's very telling that she isn't screaming libel for the Trig story. I'm trying to picture myself in her shoes and the ONLY reason I would continue to let this theory go on is because I can't prove it wrong... because its true. If she truly was pregnant and gave birth, she has all of the documentation she would need to prove it. But she doesn't put it bed. Why? What sane person would want to continue this crazy story?

She's lying. She is not the biological mother of Trig. Which brings me to another point in her FB post- her choice of words of "real mother". Any adoptive parent considers themselves the "real" parent of the child they CHOSE and rescued from someone who didn't want him/her. I would say the same with ferocity- as she is doing. But it doesn't change the fact that I didn't birth the child. Again, doesn't take a genius to read between the lines.

Due to all of the speculation tonight re Trig's birth mother, I suggest reading this Palingates post:
http://palingates.blogspot.com/2009/08/oh-bristol.html

For myself, I am not interested in outing the unfortunate situation of an underage girl. I am only interested in outing SP for her insidious fraud and deception.

But, for those who feel it is a necessary piece of the puzzle, see the thread above.

Why do the audiences at Sarah's book signing events 100% hate the President of the United States and 100% have some lie or distortion to tell about him?

Open note to Patrick & Kathleen:
Love the collection of photos. Like you, I can anticipate Sarah's next FB post "I carried small."

You have two really good pictures of what Sarah really looked like when she WAS pregnant: the big red shirt number when she was expecting Track, and a second one (Piper?) where she is in dark clothes, low shoes, and has that typical pregnant sway-back look to balance all of the weight in front.

If you add them under the collection, then the caption is:
This is what Sarah looked like when she really was pregnant.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Your collection is golden!

Where was that?

Here is some more information on Track's deployment.

Please stop talking to that Jesse Cornish. Please. Also, I do think those of us who are interested in proving that Sarah Palin didn't give birth to Trig - or, rather, in having the rest of the world see it as we do - will have to live with the likelihood that the facts of the matter will ultimately come out. It will not be enough, and it is not realistic in this day and age of the 24-hour news cycle, to think that people will be satisfied with only the knowledge that Sarah Palin was not pregnant with Trig. Once this story reaches a critical mass from the incredible work of people like the Palingates team, media folks will dig, and they will find out the details. This may cause terrible public shame for the individuals involved, but it can't be avoided, I'm afraid. We don't have the luxury of thinking we can have it both ways, unfortunately. I am also deeply sorry that any innocent person or persons will be hurt by this, more than they already have. But if Sarah Palin hadn't gone down this path, hadn't made the choices that she made, this wouldn't be happening in the way that it is. She could have handled things so, so differently. People would have left it alone. We do have a sense of decency, you know. And we all feel badly for her children, however they might be affected by this evolving story. Sarah Palin can come clean, even now. It is never too late. It is entirely up to her, as always.

Wonder who thought up the photos-for-profit, I mean photos-for-PAC scheme? Why did it take them a week to realize that all of those pose-with-the-fans moments were going to waste? Not very well organized.

It should be clear that the reason that Sarah quit last July was to cash in big. She couldn't do a big tour like this while governor. It really is all about the money, and the attention, too, also.

For most people, Life is a Learning Curve, at least, I like to think that we continue to grow when we learn and think. But not Sarah. She is just as thin skinned as she was in junior high. Those face book retorts are juvenile. She reacts to every criticism posted on the internet.

Well according to the link Jesse gave Track shipped out sometime in mid September of 08. It's nice that he could be home by Xmas of 08, that would have been nearly a 3 month deployment. Then he's back for the quitters picnics in July and has arrived again for the holidays. Wow. I know a lot of soldiers that would like to be on that deployment plan

midnightcajun said...

For all those claiming Sarah and the gang at HC never claimed the book tour would be by bus, here it is from the original USA Today article:

"the former Alaska governor will hit small- and medium-size cities starting Wednesday, mostly in the South and Midwest. She’ll be making two and sometimes three stops a day, traveling in a bus painted with the cover of her book, says Tina Andreadis, a spokeswoman for HarperCollins, Palin’s publisher."

Please note the "traveling in a bus painted with the cover of her book" part. Not "flying by private plane to the cities on the route, then switching to a bus painted with the cover of her book so that it'll look like a real hockey mom's political campaign."

Seems like Track spends about as much time on duty as Sarah spends on her bus

According to the ADN article Tracks unit was on a year long deployment. I guess he's getting some special treatment and a little extra vacation time.

Hi, midnightcajun.

First, I asked for a statement from Sarah Palin, not HarperCollins. Second, the statement you provided does not preclude other forms of travel being used when necessary. You have drawn an necessary inference from the situation.

Actually, the fact is, Palin was pretty open about being on a plane. Pay attention to these tweets:

"Landed in VA/swung by overnight campers to say "thx & we'll see u again tmorrw!" Reminiscent of Alaskan camping trips-slash-tailgate parties 9:44 PM Nov 21st from TwitterBerry

Just got off flt/got word of Senate's disappointing action; USA-do u realize what's up in D.C?Senators-do u realize "change" coming in 2010? 6:48 PM Nov 21st from TwitterBerry

What is your complaint now? Sarah Palin never lied. This is a manufactured story concoted by a liar and spread by liars.

Heehaw, my round trip cross-country flight cost me $300 but Queen Sarah's only cost $20,000 ONE WAY!

Good thing she doesn't travel like the "elites" she ALWAYS moans about.

Also, too, Palin trolls smell like very old moldy shoes. Seriously. I got close once and I'll never forget it.

Lies Of Omission said...

Lies of Omission:
To lie by omission is to remain silent and thereby withhold from someone else a vital piece (or pieces) of information. The silence is deceptive in that it gives a false impression to the person from whom the information was withheld. It subverts the truth; it is a way to manipulate someone into altering their behavior to suit the desire of the person who intentionally withheld the vital information; and, most importantly, it's a gross violation of another person's right of self-determination.

The Biggest Lie About Lies -- A Lie of Omission Is Not a Lie!

A lie of omission is the most insidious, most pervasive, and most common lie on the entire planet. Commonly, those who use this type of lie, have conned themselves into believing that to intentionally remain silent when ethical behavior calls for one to speak up is not a lie at all. In spite of overwhelming evidence that their silence deceives, misleads, and often causes untold grief and misery, they refuse to speak the truth.

The neocon/ theocon leaders of the Republican party needed a vice-presidential candidate who could make John McCain palatable to the hard-right base that otherwise despised him. These leaders had their hooks into McCain and had compromised him pretty badly already (look at the Paxson/McCain connection), but they needed a reliable running mate, and Sarah was it.

And to burnish Sarah's right-to-life credentials (and move the base beyond pesky suspicions about her two miscarriages/abortions), a Down Syndrome baby was just what the politicos ordered.

Remember, Palin was being groomed for power well before her "pregnancy" by the neo-con and theo-con right --Bill Kristol, Franklin Graham, and their ilk. I suspect they helped arrange (or colluded in ) an adoption from some fundie foundling home.

Trig has always been cited by the right as the most important and central fact of Palin's life. Although the Down syndrome baby could have been Bristol's , it seems a little too convenient.

Also convenient was the announcement of the "7th month pregnancy" on the very day that McCain got the nomination. Throughout the campaign and ever since, little Trig Paxson Van Palin has been the centerpiece of the campaign,

I've never heard of so many leaves for a soldier.

It's outrageous that Sarah uses Track's court ordered military assignment as credentials for herself. What parent does that? Her children are nothing but reflections of her in her mind. Props. Just like the definition of narcissism explains.

I hope Track wasn't really on the front lines as she has implied in her word salads (you can't catch me cuz I make no sense!).

Why doesn't it bother anyone else that she always uses "we" for herself?

Hello? "We"? She really thinks she is a plural? Or Royal? Which is it?

That alone should keep her out of the public eye.

"How are you?"

"We are fine."

Try it yourself and see if people don't think you're crazy. Go ahead. Try it.

Call it Palinese Cold Shoulder Day.

Precisely! Well said ! Thank you.

The child that we know as Trig was a political addition to Ms. Palin's entourage. As the pressure on her builds, she might try an 11th hour tearful admission-- "sob, sob, we adopted this sweet babe to give him a good life.."

We know better-- Ms. Palin faked a pregnancy to gain power and wealth. The child in question has been heartlessly used as a mascot.
If Palin truly cared for Trig, she'd take a wild ride in her jet plane back to Wasilla and hand him over to someone there who really loves him.

midnightcajun, I can't tell you how much I admire you and what you say. Your remark at 04:11, regarding the palinbots' "classic case of projection. THEY are jealous of Obama--his intelligence, his education, his erudition, his eloquence, his success, his beautiful, intelligent, successful wife, his loving, happy daughters. He has succeeded beyond their own wildest dreams, despite the fact that they're white and are supposed to be the rulers of the universe while he is a--horror of all horrors--black man.

"In fact, no one is more jealous of President Obama than Sarah herself. She spent months fantasizing about the day McCain would fall over dead and leave her as POTUS; instead, That Black Man got the 'title' God promised her. She's spent the past year being eaten alive by jealousy, and as her Bots are always telling us, she's just like them."

Genius, I tell you! All the 'bots can do is wet themselves.
