Positive readers opinions: "Absorbing", "It's a Masterpiece"

A couple of negative opinions, followed by a reply from a Palin supporter:

The book was done so quickly because she quit writing halfway into it and had someone else finish the book.

I find it sad that someone with Mrs. Palin's obvious ignorance is able to put a book on the bestseller list before it has even been published.

Palin again top! The pathetic haters of Sarah Palin dismiss the book and rant about her "ignorance" before even reading it. Their heads must be boiling over... their envy of her SMASHING success (bestseller even before it's out!) is so transparent. Sarah Palin again top! Haters flop! Her book will be fascinating.

This last guy complains about her detractors talking about her ignorance before they read the book. So how come her fans are saying "Absorbing", "It's a Masterpiece"? Have THEY read the book?

I noticed that Going Rogue can be ordered at nearly half of the list price. The tendency is for the price to drop... I wonder how long before her book is placed in the bargain bin at $1 or given away in some "buy one get one free" special offer.

Come on palinbots! Sarah needs your money! People's silence can be expensive, don't you know?

Sarah's lectures a tough sell

Palin's bookers are said to be asking for $100,000 per speech, but an industry expert tells Page Six: "The big lecture buyers in the US are paralyzed with fear about booking her, basically because they think she is a blithering idiot."

Many big lecture venues are subscription series, "and they don't want to tick people off," said our source. "Palin is polarizing, and some subscribers might cancel if she's on the lineup." Other lecture buyers are universities, which have a leftist slant, and corporations, which dislike controversy.

"Palin is so uninteresting to so many groups -- unless they are interested in moose hunting," said our insider. "What does she have to say? She can't even describe what she reads."

Lorenzo Benet's bio "Trailblazer" (he's the guy from People magazine) is now available from Amazon "starting at $0.01." So it shouldn't take long for $P's to be available for a penny plus postage.

I think it is time for the rest of us to rate it. Obviously, actually reading the "book" isn't a pre-condition to rating it. Hmmmm....

Her book will be a lot of whining about the McCain staff, I have heard. Good! I hope she pisses them off and they actually talk.

Amazing.

I'll wait for the book to show up at my d**n socialist library. I'll borrow it. With the money I save, I'll get a pair of Walmart jammies ... may even have money left to send the kids out for a Crunchwrap Supreme.

She is going stale, so they had to rush publication by several months.

Sure is funny that they don't know it will be mostly bulk sales. Organizations will buy, say, 1000 copies for $5000, then offer a "free" copy to any contributor pledging $25. Org. makes $20 per copy.

She comes across as someone connecting with the common folk..
but what connecting has she done?

Perhaps in the beginning of the campaign.. she had some interesting things to possibly ring true in the heart of alot of people

but that woman is almost anti-social.. all she does is talk about herself, and how everyone is out to get her, and how evil everyone (and the Pres.) is

how is that connecting? Why people say they can relate to her baffles my mind

It is like having a phone conversation with someone that just goes on and on about themself.. when you get in a word there is silence on the other end and an "mmm, interesting.. so anyways.. I was saying..I blah blah blah"

I still can't see why the idiots on her shrine blog don't question why she doesn't have a free 3 seconds to tweet something like HELLO out there

She lives in her own bubble and it's all about her..

Well, I just found one of the sites at the Gov website that scrubbed photos of her from March 08. It is a newsletter about Susan Butcher Day.

photos, gone
but scroll down, other photos and a video show up. Is it my computer or are those photos intentionally scrubbed?

would someone else check on this?

$28.99 is expensive for a standard sized 400 page book. Better be getting lots of photographs of her smiling Botoxed face for that.

Watching AKM on Rachel Maddow last night, I was struck by that old quote from a McCain staffer--the diva quote about how she didn't trust anyone including members of her own family. What a curious thing to say. I wish one of those guys would huddle with a ghostwriter and tell all! Maybe they will after they read her string of lies. Remember that whiny speech she gave shortly after the election up in Alaska? You know she's going to see this book as her chance to put her spin on everything. I suspect it hasn't occurred to her that she might prod a few angry people into saying things they haven't let out yet.

Anonymous said...

If you buy the full 400 page version, it comes with "word salad".
The "abridged-to-nowhere" version comes with handy "versa-pouch"; a handy storage device/scarf support strap-on that can double as a gun holster.

Just checked the newsletter and the first three pix have been scrubbed...

Anonymous said...

I will let others read it... so I do not have to waste my time with her lies.

Hope she gets busted for housegate. Sarah can spend her money in the prison store... this is what i want to read about.

If you go through the internet archive, some of the items missing from the page can be found. Try clicking on the blank spots where the pictures/video should be located. Here's the page in question Link

ProChoiceGrandma said...

Anon @ 15:34, that is the best example I have seen of actually “scrubbed” photos. Good job!

I went to the scrubbed page and clicked on "view photo". In a couple of cases I was shown a large photo of Gov Murkowski from 2006 and another said it had not been archived. I didn't try the videos.

My first reaction to Sarah Palin is that she has learned nothing from her experiences of the past year. No voice coach. No stylist in terms of appropriate hairdo and wardrobe for business function (Hong Kong speech). She never learned to organize her calendar which led to canceling speaking engagements. She didn't even follow her own father's advice in terms of never quitting. We know that she never expanded her basic knowledge by reading and studying the issues.

But, she did learn one thing from the McCain people- how to scrub pictures. One has to wonder why. Is it that they can be compared to how she looks today- we might see that she has had "a little work done?" Otherwise, she really is one really crazy lady.

Governor Palin reads to students in the Gastineau School Head Start class in mid-February.

She doesn't look one minute pregnant much less six months. What a joke. This scrubbed photo can be found here:

AHA - and on HuffPo today PALIN LECTURES NOT SELLING:

Sarah Palin is not selling well on the lecture circuit, an industry insider told the New York Post.

"The big lecture buyers in the US are paralyzed with fear about booking her, basically because they think she is a blithering idiot," the source said. "They don't want to tick people off."

Palin's fee for a recent speech in Hong Kong was rumored to be in the low six figures.

You got to read this. This is an author who dumped Sarah Palin.

BTW I just went to Amazon and rated the book. It's on the "Her enemies are our enemies" thread.

It's NOT a blog so I kept it short and sweet - waste of time since she didn't even write it.

This is an old article about separation of church/state and charging the state per diem for these religious trips. Worth the read!

Be sure to read this article by Amanda Coyne:
http://49writers.blogspot.com/2008/10/palin-first-biographer-amanda-coyne-on.html

Amanda is an Alaskan writer who turned down the chance to be Sarah Palin's biography. She gives an honest appraisal of Sarah's abilities.

Ha! The best part is that Page Six is in the New York Post, her Uncle Rupert's paper! LMAO.

Anonymous said...

Murdock is done. He forced her to get the book done ASAP when he figured out she is crazy. Her reward was the China speech.

He has to sell books to recoup the 7 million he gave her. He has insured that, so now the Post can say there are no big speech requests.

Anonymous said...

The thing about the scrubbed photos is that she did not do this on her own. It has overtones of the old Communist photos where the originals disappear and the 'new' photo has blank spots where people used to be. The scrubbed photos implicate the whole McCain campaign and by extension the RNC. No wonder there is so much energy being expended to keep it quiet. . .

Anonymous said...

anon 18:42, great points. All signs point to: SP is done. I just don't want to let myself believe it because I'll be so disappointed if she somehow manages to rear her head again.

If you have an account at Amazon, you can log in and select or submit tags you think should be associated with Palin's book. Some of them are pretty funny!

Checked the Susan Butcher newsletter and I found a pdf link at the bottom. When it is opened all the photos show up.

I love the fact that the US big lecture circuit is smart enough to realize she is "a blithering idiot"! I look forward to seeing stacks of $P's book on the sale table at my local Costco - right next to Glenn Beck's latest one. You know, where he is dressed up in a Nazi uniform with an even more stupid look on his face than usual.

KaJo said...

Anon @ 17:25 today, you asked "Is it that they can be compared to how she looks today- we might see that she has had "a little work done?"

If you look at that picture of Palin at the Hong Kong airport reading a newpaper article about herself a week ago, she has a bit of drooping skin under her chin. No surgery done there!

After looking closely at the Hong Kong pictures -- ALL of them -- I tend to think she's relying on her pancake makeup and rouge and probably Avon products to get along now that the RNC stylists aren't taking care of her -- unless she can get expensive stylist attention written into her speaking contracts.

Quite telling that they already are discounting the book 40% BEFORE it is even on the shelves...

After all this time, I forgot to mention, only eleven people have written Amazon reviews of Lorenzo Benet's $P bio [sic], "Trailblazer." What does that say about Palinbots? That they don't read, or at least anything longer than Kaylene Johnson's pamphlet-length bio?

HuffPost has an article saying that AP has called the book a best seller. Yep. Trolls are all jumping up and down!

Anonymous said...

The trolls are jumping up and down, and loose change is spilling from their pockets, rolling right into Sarah's.

I promise to later find a used copy someone has tossed and will have kids insulate the outhouse walls with it-where the pages belong. Fortunately, this is an outhouse used only when our more modern pipes are frozen. Then, if any Palinistas visit the house-they will be shown to XGINO's throne in absentia.

Regarding the Susan Butcher Day newsletter, if you scroll down and click on the link that says "Looking for a print version? Click here. PDF", it will pull up a PDF version of the newsletter that includes all of the photos.
