Sarah Palin and her family are busy. As was reported first by Gryphen from Immoral Minority, the Palins are currently constructing a new chateau-type building on a property right next to their house in Wasilla. As Gryphen found out, the ground on which this new building is being erected was apparently bought by the Palins on July 14, 2009 – two weeks after she resigned.
Our brave contacts in Alaska, the number of which is basically growing by the day, have now sent us aerial photos of Sarah Palin’s property in Wasilla which were taken recently – you won’t see these anywhere else.

So what is going on there, and why does it matter?
Well, our contacts in Alaska who are very close to what is currently happening on Sarah Palin’s property have reported the following:
On the bottom floor an airplane hangar is being built, with a 40 foot opening, and the doors are already ordered. One should know of course that airplane hangers in Alaska are very common. The Palins own a little seaplane, a “Piper Supercub, N8194D”. It has recently be asserted on another blog that there might be a little scandal lurking in the background, because according to public access databases, Todd Palin presently only has a license to fly single engine landplanes, however, if he flies as a pilot with passengers in a seaplane, he would need a licence to fly single engine seaplanes, and not just for a landplane.
But let’s get back to the building project: On the second floor of this new building there will apparently be room for Todd Palin (our source called it “Todd’s man cave”) and also an apartment for Bristol. On the third floor, there will apparently be an office for Sarah.
I would like to stress that the fact that an aircraft hangar with living space is being built there was reported to us by two different sources, both with direct access to this project. It has also been mentioned by Todd Palin himself that it is an airplane hangar. Therefore, we can safely assume at this point that this is credible information.
A third source who has seen the compound from very close range said that they have dug a huge pit for a very large foundation and that contractors are crawling all over the property to get it done before the major snowfalls hit.
But that is not everything! If you want the news, forget the ADN or the other daily newspapers in Alaska. You will get it right here (or at Gryphen’s blog, at Bree’s blog, at Mudflats, at Shannyn Moore’s blog etc.).
First point: I will word this very carefully. From a source which is very close to the project we have heard that there were “all kinds of OSHA violations” going on with the contractors that are framing/excavating that site. The “OSH Act” is the Occupational Safety and Health Act, which is a federal law. It is being enforced by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA).
Now: I cannot assess whether this statement is correct or which specific violations there could have been. As I was told, complaints are currently being lodged with the OSHA in regard to the alleged violations on this building site, so we should hear more about this in the near future.
Secondly, I have another very interesting piece of information which I have never read anywhere before. It comes again from a reliable source, and it is very interesting indeed: from the pictures on Gryphen’s blog and from the aerial shot, you can see that the neighbouring “white house” is located extremely close to the new building, and that raises the question whether the neighbours have agreed to this unusually close new building, or what their opinion is.
And here comes the cracker: From what we have heard, there are no neighbours to ask – the Palins themselves have rented the neighbouring white building, and it currently stays empty. According to our source, the Palin family have rented it not because they need it right now, but because they don’t want anybody else to live so close to them. In addition, we have been told that the Palin’s plan is to buy the neighbouring white house at a future point.
If you ask me which members of the Palin family are supposed to use which of the buildings in the future, I honestly don’t have an answer right now. We should not forget that apart from Todd and Bristol there is also Track, who, as far as we know, has been in a close relationship with Britta Hanson (click here to see Britta's slideshow!) for a number of years now. So, maybe Track will use some of the space there, too? We can only guess.

Ok, average high temperature for Wasilla is below freezing for 5 months a year. The Palin house sites face south across the frozen lake where the prevailing winds are south/southwest. The red house has no tree buffer, just a curtain wall of glass to the view. Hard to tell on the new construction. How much careful planning for landscaping or solar or other practical green solutions do you think has been incorporated in the design? I can hear those furnaces running full tilt all winter to keep those high-ceilinged rooms toasty. "We don't need no stinkin' guvmint weatherstripping!" Burn baby burn...

Bristol has two jobs?
I remember the PFD accounts erasure being blamed on some expert technician who was supposed to do some mundane procedure like backing up records. Instead he erasured computer hard drive record (duh) and botched up something else like the CD copies.
It was unreal. This made national headline news. I saw it on Yahoo front page link etc, way before her Veep run. The office then spent like two months in late summer on scanning in all PFD applications. I never filed online after that and certified my applications mailed to Juneau. Now mandatory online begins this year.
As far as Andrew Sullivan. I saw a CSpan Book tv interview this weekend where they discussed his book, Virtually Normal. I am very impressed with how serious he comes across, his background and education. Now, I see why you all keep mentioning him as a Babygate scandal breaker (again).
So much for my theory it would be a network of women (especially AK bloggers) that will break the hoax into the mainstream. I don't include the regular babygate commentators,Truth Team, babygate bloggers in that comment. We rock and get it. Andrew had guts before and prestige. But takes more than one. pcg, yes. I don't think there is any restriction on what they do with that money, except that if anyone removes more than the gift tax exemption (per year, around 10-15 thousand), they'll have to pay taxes on the amount taken.
It strikes me as odd that the State of Alaska would not pay the legal expenses of a state official acting in his/her official capacity, so I question the whole reason for the fund's existence.
Interesting thing, too, is that on the SarahPac page, they have a note about donating to the Alaska Fund Trust highlighted in a box. The money going into that fund is certainly easier for them to play with, so they may prefer donations there.
I hope the Palin family enjoys their Chateau on beautiful Lake Wasila. You see, I live in NY State and we have severe problems here, from the city, to County, to State level. Problems Alaska does not have. So what happens to Sarah Palin, what happens in Alaska has absolutely nothing to do with me, my state, my life, or my future. You poeple are mostly stalker types possessed with getting involved with this type of rubbish, amateur bloggerism. No wonder America is falling on it's ass. I think another 'gate' could be the Alaska Fund Trust. It is a shame that the contributors were led to believe something about its purpose, but the legalese doesn't support the claimed purpose by restricting use of the money to the claimed purpose.
The accounting promised by Kristan Cole is long overdue. Alaskan government is considering the validity of the fund; let's hope that federal agencies like the IRS, FEC and DOJ investigate, too.

You could not be more wrong if you tried.
Sarah Palin has already attempted to gain a role in our government previously and may well do so again. Who and what she is, what she is doing, why she is doing it is very much a potential impact on all of us.
She may very well have an effect on all of us in the future and it is important that who and what she really is needs to be exposed for those who have been duped by the person she has herself to be to the nation.
Like it or not, Sarah Palin has no intention of going away quietly and we have no intention of allowing her to continue to dupe the country and the world.

Not sure why what Lisan brought up can't be discussed. I have it on very good authority that this does exist, from someone who went to high school with Todd (in Glenallen NOT Wasilla) and was his employer for many years in the 90's.
However I understand that reaching all over at things can dilute our original purpose. Which is why I haven't brought it up as well. Just sayin' don't write that aspect of this giant fiasco off quite yet. It's just another lump in what has become the cesspool of her life

I am on the mailing list of several Real Estate agents. They have blogs and send out info on everything. This subject will be a hot topic. Let your local agents know you want to be kept informed.
IMO: What LisanTx brought up can be discussed. I agree a discussion here could be diluting. This thread is predominantly about building and business practices. Sexual issues do matter. Immoral Minority has a link to the report on sexual assault in Alaska. The more discussions the more people will be educated on all aspects. There can only be endless speculation about whether or not a specific unreleased tape exists. The fact it was mentioned on October 13, 2008 is worth noting. Is there any way or chance those who saw this could tell what they experienced or saw?

It was not my intention to suppress a discussion here or censor a reader. I probably didn't make myself clear enough.
Ok, there was an anonymous comment on another blog (the comment was left more than one year ago) which says that there might be a "Todd Palin sextape". So that's what we are talking about here. No sextape has ever surfaced so far.
If anyone has more substantial info, please come forward. To declare something to be another "gate", we do need some facts! Just rumors that there might be a tape floating around somewhere is simply not enough.
If there's a tape involving Todd then there's two tapes floating around out there. The one I can reasonably confirm exists does not have Todd on it

There are so many ' gates ' going around and some of them seem to have lost some steam. The " House-Gate " issue seemed like it was coming to fruition about 6 months ago when rumors of an investigation were going on. Your last 2 updated pics have an EXCELLENT picture of the back of that House. We can plainly see those ' custom windows ' in the Casa de-Palin are HUGE! In a later House story could you have a side-by-side pic with that same pic... right next to some shots of the windows in the Sports Complex. And do you think there is even ONE other place in Alaska that you could find those windows in use.... they look pretty unique. I have never seen what the Sports Complex looks like and new traffic coming from Andrew Sullivan may not realize the connection either. A picture is worth a 1000 words.With this New Construction going on.... I am sure it will bring back those ' rumors ' from before. Maybe even investigators/inspectors checking work on the new site ( if there are any ) will take a glance at those ' custom windows ' while on-site as well.

Mr.Gerson brings up the historic part of this. History interests me. In this situation what a shame to use an innocent child and Down syndrome to promote something that is not true. It is all the more reason to expose this hoax.
Even if it were true that Sarah was his mother, I find it odd and creepy that so many people see "Trig's moment in the spotlight is a milestone" but not at all what it was for a 4-month-old with Down syndrome to be in the crowds, lights and the entire circus he was with. No risk, no harm to the child? What if they needed to sedate him to be indifferent? What are the risks to a 4-month-old with his medical condition if he is given say Benadryl?

Here in Kansas, we have a rather infamous "compound" occupied by similarly loonie fringers: the Fred Phelps family. For those not already familiar with them, they are the family that shows up at veterans' funerals with hateful homophobic signs.
We in Kansas show up as well - to drown them out in increasingly record numbers. Last event - a protest at a local high school in Johnson County, I believe the counter-protestors outnumbered the Phelps freaks by 4 or more to 1.

I think the Todd guilty comment was from when he was found guilty of contempt. His lawyer was Van Fleen. It is not a new matter. The old one that was spun to keep alive the fallacy that the complaints were a nuisance and nothing was there. She needed money to pay for all the unfair legal bills. When you are innocent you don't want the shadow gov to be guilty of contempt. If you have influence with the press you keep the truth down. Same goes if your sister in law has criminal charges, keep that name out of the press. If you have an enemy, that name goes viral.

The way I see it, she got x amount of $$$, but did not figure in that she actually would have to pay a hefty amount of tax on it (Didn't President Obama either want to or even institute a hefty surcharge for people making more than $250,000/year?).
She just saw the $$$ and went all out for the total amount, and now is facing the prospect of having to pay maybe 40% or more of tax on the book deal $s.
Someone on Gryphens' blog mentioned that most savvy authors try to extend the payments over 1 1/2 - 2 years, but our Grifter here is taking it all in one year...

Interesting observations by Sarah Palin's "unwanted" biographer Joe McGinness (H/T Bree Palin) - he confirms the detailed information that we were given by our Alaskan sources that the Palin's are building a house and an airplane hangar next to it:
"I stopped by her house," says McGinniss, who brought along a copy of his 1980 book, "Going to Extremes," about his adventures in Alaska. "Her son Track answered the door, [just back from Iraq]. We had a pleasant chat. He said he'd give her the book."
McGinniss was struck by the size of the construction on the lot the Palins have bought next to their present home.
"They're building another house and an airplane hangar," he says. "It's like a summer White House in the making. Just based on the size of the compound, I'd say Sarah and Todd are staying together."
As for reports of infidelity, he says, "I'm not intending to write a salacious book about Sarah Palin's sex life. But if it's true, I'll find out."
McGinniss, whose book is due out in 2011, says he approached about 40 people in Wasilla for interviews; only one didn't want to talk.
"A lot of people don't like her as much now that she's quit," he says. "And now that she's not the governor, she doesn't have the power of retribution she had before."
