Sarah Palin's posturing
Sarah Palin appears to be backing off her aggressive stance against accepting some of the federal stimulus money for Alaska, and some lawmakers are disputing whether she "rejected" any money at all.
After Palin's announcement last week, the Empire asked her whether a decision to accept only a portion of the money meant there was a rejection of the remainder.
"If that's the way you want to look at it," Palin responded.
Well, well... she may be backpedaling now, she may claim the Legislature forced her to accept the stimulus money. Sarah wants the best of both worlds: to be seen as a fiscal conservative, yet flexible and compassionate.
What's going to be remembered by Alaskans and people further afield is her cynical, callous, self-serving posturing to impress her idiotic adoring followers in the Lower 48.
As they say: "It's the thought that counts..."

Whichever way the wind blows, blows our dear SP. She was against it before she was for it and she'll be whichever way she thinks will benefit her the most. Alaskans, and their needs, will have absolutly nothing to do with it.
UGH!!! Where did you find that a$$-ugly pic of GINO!
I agree - which-ever way the wind is blowing, that way GINO will turn - as long as it benefits HER!
LOL Such a typical Palin answer..
"IF THAT IS HOW YOU WANT TO LOOK AT IT"
Palin....people look at facts
Only in a twisted mind can one change a fact!
Facts are constant - not changeable at one's whim!
OK, I'd like to know why the Empire didn't come back at her with, "No, we want to know how YOU want to look at it, Governor Palin."
Geez, does this idiot woman ever take a stand and stick by it? If she's not adamantly trying to show up and stick it to "Big Oil" for 2 years, then abruptly changing course when she finds out they are going to make her AGIA obsolete and worthless -- she's waffling back and forth on something as important as taking all the stimulus money offered by the feds.
If she weren't so blockheadedly blindly ideological (and idiological, too), she'd know that the state will NOT be "taken over" by federal rules, regulations, restrictions, etc. on how the money is used.
Not any more than the state of Alaska is already, with the $1.84 of tax dollars that come back from the Feds for every $1.00 paid in taxes to the Feds (as of 2005, it's probably more now!).
I just don't see how so many people can believe that Sarah Palin is pretty - for Pete's sake, she looks just like an old man in this photo.
sarah is sooo twisted and sick.
yes she looks wicked in at picture
