There are some disturbing things going on in the state of Alaska...
In a press release dated April 22, 2009, Sarah Palin's office commented on an ethics complaint that has just been filed against the governor:
"I hope that the publicity-seekers will face a backlash from Alaskans who have a sense of fair play and proportion."
The backlash has started, but not from ordinary Alaskans. The guy who wished for it, Sarah Palin's chief-of-staff Mike Nizich, and Annette Kreitzer, administration commissioner, decided to dispense a dose of backlash to Republican activist Andree McLeod.
With a little help from the Anchorage Daily News, through Sheila Toomey's Alaska Ear, an e-mail Andree McLeod had sent to Kreitzer was leaked, causing much amusement due to the subject of the communication: cleavage.
Andree happens to believe in ethics in government, she doesn't just talk about it. Sarah Palin asked to be held accountable and Andree obliged. There are quite a few points raised by Andree McLeod regarding Sarah Palin's ethics and they are not frivolous at all.
The irony is that Andree has been waiting for the government e-mails she requested many months ago and Sarah Palin's office is having great difficulty in releasing them, asking for extension upon extension of the deadline. They didn't have any trouble finding and releasing Andree's e-mail in a most unprofessional manner...
Mudflats and Celtic Diva have all the details about this pathetic turn of events.
