Sarah Palin's red clothes and shoes

We're all discussing Sarah Palin's wardrobe and someone posted an interesting link on Mudflats. Sarah wears red a lot: from the famous red leather jacket to her official portrait on the SOA website.

The link was to Science Daily and the October 2008 article says:

A groundbreaking study by two University of Rochester psychologists to be published online Oct. 28 by the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology adds color—literally and figuratively—to the age-old question of what attracts men to women.

Through five psychological experiments, Andrew Elliot, professor of psychology, and Daniela Niesta, post-doctoral researcher, demonstrate that the color red makes men feel more amorous toward women. And men are unaware of the role the color plays in their attraction.

Men may not be aware of how red plays a part in stirring their most basic emotions, but I'm sure women instinctively know it and use it to their advantage, specially if the woman is Sarah Palin. She doesn't wear red all the time, but uses red accessories and wears red shoes... often enough.

By the way, red shoes, creating less light resistance, make you faster. At least that's what I always told my kids. They no longer believe anything they're told.

Frankly at this point, I don't care what she wears.

She's such a hillbilly.

plus, dress for success guides when women started into the corporate world always said red was a power color (in a previous lifetime, I was a wardrobe consultant) and in the business world, my friends and I would always wear red when we needed extra confidence or had to put on a presentation or something and Sarah is the right age to have learned that.

Red is also the best color for hiding bloodstains... you know, from moose, wolves, or Democrats. *wink*

I was once told by a judge that, as a lawyer, wearing black sends the wrong message. Red is also the colour of war.
