+++I am currently writing a long post about a subject which is definitely not covered in "Going Rogue". It will take a little while until the post is completed. In the meantime, I would like to point out a few other things:
"Celtic Diva" Linda Kellen Biegel has published a very informative post about the famous "desecration of an iconic image" photoshopping incident, which gave her national publicity back in June 2009. Linda compares the real facts with the account of the incident which the unemployed facebook-blogger Sarah Palin has provided in her already notorious book of lies "Going Rogue".
"Going Rogue" should be in shops today, and it seems certain to me that it will take years for Harper Collins' reputation to recover from this disaster which we see unfolding.
Huffington Post has appealed to their readers today: Send us any falsehoods you find in "Going Rogue," and the real story! I hope that many of our readers will participate so that HuffPost can separate truth from fiction! (h/t wayofpeace, thank you!)
Talking about fiction: It appears that the former McCain staffers who have been trashed in "Going Rogue" ignore John McCain's recommendation not to comment on the book. The former McCain staffer and Palin aide Nicolle Wallace, who is prominently featured in "Going Rogue", yesterday told NBC that "all the conversations in the book are just fabricated." Ouch!
The blog "White Noise Insanity" wrote an article about the controversy "abortion or miscarriage?" which is being discussed extensively here on palingates in the comments.

Sarah Palin's book contains not just a virtually uncountable number of lies, but also a great mystery: Some pages seem to have gone missing! (SEE THE UPDATE BELOW)
At Amazon and Barnes & Noble, "Going Rogue" was supposed to have contained 432 pages - see the screenshots (click to enlarge):

From what I have heard from our fantastic source who already got hold of the book, "Going Rogue" has only 413 pages (and no index, as we all know already).
So what happened to the other pages?
Were all references to Levi Johnston deleted in the last minute, as well as the index?
Maybe our new friend Christopher Goff from Harper Collins could answer this question?
UPDATE 1: We were alerted by our readers that we might be mistaken and that Amazon and Barnes & Noble might actually have counted all the blank pages, added them to the numbered pages, therefore counting 432 pages in total. Therefore it's very well possible that this is the solution of the "mystery".

This is why we all must do all we can possibly do. SP is not the only one but she is valuable to enough people that can make her appear to be in a leadership position. She can get enough of her ilk to move by posts on her FB, in her cryptic way that only they can understand.
I have seen several tapes of Sheriff's and military personell that are talking of sedition. It is no joke. There are those that want things to happen and to be in power. SP is a figurehead in the movement. They will do anything to keep her in power. She only has to mutter a few words.
She said she is talking to her targeted group, and not the rest of us. I hope it is not 20%. Any % can do more damage then we want to think. Frank Schaeffer knows what he is talking about. There is more out there to back up what he is saying.
I'm not up on the Ft. Hood shootings, but I am leery about what all is behind it. Is it a coincidence that it happened and the American Taliban can use the shooters religion to drastically change the military?

Yes, Archivist - That interview segment Rachel did with Frank Schaeffer is truly alarming! I'm glad other people are as disturbed as I am. And I watched it while skimming through Going Rogue. And the thing that was leaping out to me was how often Sarah Palin talks to and relies on and mentions God in this book.
And as an avid reader of Palingates I'm happy to see the new Anonymous commenter - I think getting through the fog of both Trig and Tripp's birth dates is key to unraveling this mess. And I'm happy to see that Barb is contributing again too!

It's appalling to me that SP can tell her bold face lies - the level of delusion is just sky high.
I think back to the first time I saw her - the convention speech and her snotty remarks about PBO...I shuddered then and it's only gotten worse.

After reading all of the stories from this blog tonight I am just sadden that Sarah Palin was put on the national stage, by John McCain and the religious right to wreak havoc on this country. I cannot believe that the media is letting this person get away with all of her lies. I cannot believe that people are organizing to assassinate our first African American President.
Boy, do I remember JFK, RFK and MLK. I was a kid then and at one point, I thought we were all going to die. Now I am going through those emotions again.

If I were in your position, I would write up everything I know and dare not say out loud, and mail a copy to two trusted friends with a "Do not open unless I am in trouble." One should be a lawyer. Mail two copies to yourself, but on one of them first use black marker to delete most but not all of your most damaging info. Let them guess what else you have. Hide both of them, in separate places. If you are threatened or discovered, give the bully the marked-up copy and tell him you have mailed two copies to others. So there would be little incentive to harm you. Or, if you are harmed, your info does not disappear if you do. Imagine if Dar had done that.
Sorry to be so suspicious and gloomy, but I think we are right to be very, very careful. Esp those who take the lead in bringing the info out first.

Anon @1:26 I know your pain. Someone I am very close to was one of Palin' victims. We still live with some fear but I am learning to get over it with the supportive help of Patrick, Regina, Kathleen and BreePalin.
I have been communicating and providing some pivotal information to Patrick, in particular, for about two months now. He has been 100% confidential and he will not betray your identity whatsoever. It could be very rough for me if my identity were known and he has held my identity as he said he would. I have spoken with him many times now on the phone . Do not be afraid of him. Through him I am now in contact with Barb Dwyer and manhy others as well. We all are working on our own little research projects. "Boots on the Ground" in Alaska. There are more of us than you might imagine.
Please remember, we all want the very same thing......for Sarah Palin to be exposes for the fraud she is. With her inching towards the White House it is up to the bloggers to expose her lies. Up to this point MSM will not touch this woman and all of her "gates".

As some of you know, I have a blog that makes fun of the Palinbots, so I go there and read a LOT ... and the last few weeks, I have seen the rabid frenzy develop. I suspect that the reason her FB site has closed down at night for the past few weeks is because too many of these crazies are posting this stuff. Palin is ok with inciting, of course, it's just that if this stuff is on her OFFICIAL site, she is responsible.
Believe me, what Schaeffer said doesn't surprise me, I see that kind of hate and call to 'whatever it takes' all the time on there.

If the call was from a "fake Joe Namath", I could see Palin getting away with such an excuse -- except that back when the phone call was made, right afterward the Pranksters were interviewed, and they said it took them TWO WHOLE DAYS to get through the security surrounding Sarah Palin.
Think about that. Presumably all this time Palin's "crack" security team and advisors -- mostly HER people, from what we've read -- thought the phone calls seeking access to Palin were from the real Sarkozy's staff, and eventually someone with not much sense and an eagerness to "count coup" gave the OK to take the call from a foreign head of state to a secondary candidate for US high public office (never done!).

Those of us who were intently looking at photos last January at the Ft. Richardson Superbowl ad Palin filmed, we finally realized the girl wearing red/orange next to Willow, both of whom held Trig, was one of Willow's cousins -- perhaps the girl pictured with Palin after the selling-Naughty-Monkey-shoes-on-EBay episode.
Interestingly, I found a link to the Ft. Richardson picture on PD, in a February 2009 blog entry by Audrey where she mentions threats (to the other blogger who was scared off) and hate mail (that she gets).

I was just having fun on court view putting in all of Kristan Cole's aliases and wondering how she manages to keep a drivers license, when I wondered what Track had been up to since he got home. Knowing he's no stranger to Wasilla PD I decided to look him up. It came as no surprise to see he already got a speeding ticket which was filed on 10-02-09

NightLine tonight had a long segment from the BW interview. Some of it we saw this morning, some was new. Apparently there will be a complete viewing of the entire interview Friday on 20/20. BW asked some tougher questions, SP responded in the same old fashion. She never provides a direct answer, just like she learned in the campaign flashcard prep exercises. I think she had a bunch of flashcards made for the interviews.

Wow, I am just stunned. Here I am bellyaching to myself about how nobody "down there" really understands how it is up here...I had no idea so many people genuinely care about how things are tough on Alaskans in the position of wanting to contribute to the "feet on the ground" effort but are scared of retaliation.
I am trying my best to outline my email to Patrick and include any and all information that might provide insight.
I feel such a sense of community and welcoming here. I know that no matter what fears I habor regarding speaking up...there will always be support for me here. I really had to psych myself up to take the plunge and post here. Now I'm so glad I did. You all made me feel like I was representing my beloved state in an honorable fashion and helped guide me toward trusting my instinct in regard to emailing Patrick.
I initially posted with the hope that at least one person would take me seriously and run with the information I provided. Instead I was so pleasantly surprised to be welcomed and embraced by so many. Thank you all, again.

Valley KW, I want to join everyone else who has welcomed you. Thank you for being brave enough to take this step. We really need all the boots on the ground that we can get, and that especially includes those in Alaska who can provide information confidentially to the research team. Also, remember that Patrick, Regina, and Kathleen have others who provide confidential information, and so you may have a piece of information that doesn't seem that significant but that fills in a gap in a part of the puzzle that you do not personally have knowledge of.
It is not right that people are being bullied in your community the way they are, and one of the best ways to stop it is to take away the power that Palin wields because people in your community still see her as someone who may hold high office. If Palin is fully exposed as the fraud and bully that she is, it should help to make things better for those who do not support her.
I really believe that Sarah Palin is a dangerous individual, and that neutralizing her toxic influence requires the combined efforts of many concerned citizens working together. It's great to have you on board. I hope that it will also encourage you to know that at least some in the media are really starting to take notice. There couldn't be a better time than now to get involved in this effort.

Can someone who perhaps volunteers for AHA work on this issue...did folks in audience take photos or just official photographer (was this China all over again)?
I still think Iron Dog Banquet 2008 held in Anchorage before the race with Sarah attending would be very telling. My racer 'friend' took no photos of Palin, but they told me she was there. Did Sarahcuda eat dinner in her outdoor jackets ?! Was there a baby bump??
KW-Out of the blue I contacted Audrey at Palindeception blog after googling Palin baby mystery sometime after election and reading now and then the comments.
It took me awhile to realize I was 'sitting on' a photo of Palin somewhat close to alleged birth date. I could pinpoint the week it was taken, with proof. Audrey is bona fide, she was very professional, confidential and knew the significance of the shot in dating other evidence the Trig Truth Tellers had.
Later Bree Palin blog exposed clips of the now Fox owned documentary which showed the same students next to flat front and full-of-it Palin as their still shot was being taken. No punking there. Authentic Alaskans next to the UNreal American Scarahcuda.
Since then I found Patrick here to be just as honest and careful in his dealings with me, use of evidence, honesty, desire for the truth on behalf of Americans. So all you gals and guys who check in here as anonymous and find that it just turns your stomach to watch this Sarah side show month after month...you may not know what you have on her...until you tell Patrick, Regina, Bree Palin site.
Someday we may all meet -in Alaska, of course, and come out of cyberspace after this Sarahsh*t is settled. And the Alaskan boot brigade will meet those bloggers who initiated the effort to obtain the truth about Sarah and her powerful backers, various Water Loo gates. There is that photo of Levi holding Trig in the rocker, and the one of Mercedes holding Trig in the rocker...both looked familiar and comfortable and this was at the Palin household...and one of those photos was Mercede & Sarah with Mercede holding "Trig".
Levi & Bristol had been off and on dating for how long? Wasn't one story that Bristol was sent to live at her aunts house in an attempt to keep Levi & Bristol apart? Didn't we hear that Todd offered Bristol a vehicle to break up with Levi?

Sarah has opened the flood gates. Before her book,many people(msm included)considered these stories as little pockets of maybe's, and not worth the time and money to get involved. Today however is another story in of itself. The Bismarck was eventually sunk,and with time so shall the sinking of Ms.Sarah be sung.

Show the Gusty photo and then simply ask - "How could this women get through security in an airport, board two planes, and then have flight attendents state that the "stage of her pregnancy was not obvious?" Then show all the photos and vids of the shape shifting Sarah. Ask repseced ob/gyns and midwives if they would ever have a woman leaking amniotic fluid in a high risk pregnancy, who has a history of two miscarriages, get on a plane??

Yes, this is basically what I have felt all along. The same puppetmasters that pulled the strings that moved marionette Dubya right into the Oval Office are the same ones that were attempting to continue their greedy and destructive policies by placing Sarah a heartbeat away from the Presidency. Prochoicegrandma, I have actually been reading here for months! I only recently started to read through the comments, though. I think the comments of people like you helped me to realize the ripple effect Sarah was having on people all over the world. I began to feel the pull toward joining in myself, but my fear kept me quiet. It was only these past few days when I heard Sarah damning Levi for not seeing his baby due to being on a "media tour" that the hypocrisy just blew the top off my desire to keep quiet.
I admit to still dealing with a heaping dose of paranoia. It's damn near impossible not to at this point, knowing what people here have gone through. When the Johnstons were basically ambushed in their own home, we were all thinking...whoa, this is way worse than Sarah's usual homegrown corruption and cronyism...this is SERIOUS. We heard there were even some photos taken off the fridge- who DOES that- sends suited goons to take photos off someone's fridge?! It just causes me to secondguess EVERYTHING...earlier when a troll used the phrase "bullcrap" I actually thought to myself "but I said 'bullcrap' in a comment yesterday... that troll is purposely using the same words I did, to try and make people doubt me and think I'M a troll!"
It is seriously THAT bad! I know Barb can probably attest to this, unfortunately...but the over-the-top corruption witnessed here on an alarmingly regular basis can really mess with your mind. When I was hesitant about emailing Patrick, it wasn't because I didn't TRUST him...it was because I am so paranoid about/worried for anyone in his position; I wondered if, even outside the US, HIS computer contents and fridge display was safe! (I have since come to believe that Patrick is nobody's fool and is taking any/all precautionary measures necessary)
Sorry for the long rant, but I just really can't convey the true depth and intensity of how bad things are up here. I know I sound like a broken record, but because you really don't know who you can trust here, a forum like this is literally my only place to safely let off steam.
